Totally appreciate the excellent customer service from the management here at this ship shape Koa! We pulled in off the highway at 10:30 at night with our 26 foot Uhaul moving across the country. Wanting a safe place to park and put a tent up. They accommodated us and we were overwhelmed with relief! Nice and quiet and safe! Nice hot showers! We can't thank you enough!

Well I have to say that my three half to four stars is simply because our personal reason for staying was for the internet and it just so happened that the internet was down the night we stayed. I would have given them a better review if they would have answered one of the three contact numbers listed when the issue arose - but they did not. On the other hand, the staff was friendly, park was very well maintained and they had all the amenities you could want. I have stayed at quite a few campgrounds at this point (we travel for work in our camper van) and this was not my favorite shower experience but it definitely did the job and I didn't feel like the area was neglected. I would suggest to the staff to add a seat in the shower and use some CLR to make the appearance of standing water on the small pink tiles go away (it just made me feel yucky) but other than that it was great. They even offered you a little area to put your shower soaps in while in the shower area itself and it wasn't one of those annoying coin operated or timed showers like some places have. We did bring our dog but given the time we stayed and the circumstances (work) we were not able to play in the K9 camp areas. I did notice the doggy disposal sites around the park though. Another cool thing about this park was they actually had a jacuzzi, not just a pool, plus a gazebo with a lit fire for people to sit around. This perk was real cozy especially arriving around 8:30pm with the rain, the fire pit just gave you a sense of relaxation and coziness that I really enjoyed. I was able to check out the laundry facility even though we did not use it - it was nice. $1.25 for a wash and .25 each ten minutes you dry. Not bad. Again, with some CLR in that bathroom and N internet connection I can rely on I would stay again. Hope this review helps.

We paid lots of money and by the time we realized what this club was about, it was too late to get out of it. Our team parents offered better feedback and coaching than the actual coaches. Very sad. The owner would sit on the sidelines at tournaments and be on her phone instead of watching the teams play and being fully present. It was very disrespectful. Canned responses were given by coaches when the players asked for feedback. When you pay as much as club costs, the basic expectation is that your child will improve their skills and learn. They will be coached and be more successful on the court. I guess for our first year in club, even though our expectations were so basic - we had a bar that was too high and Rise couldn't meet it. In fact, I don't think Rise was even on the court. I would never recommend Rise Volleyball Club unless you want to waste your child's time, your time, and your money.

I took my 14 year old son Isky on this trip and I knew it was going to be special, but I never anticipated anything this sublime. You are being guided through true wilderness in the high desert. Glorious dry sunshine along a pristine river, chock full of excellent, thrilling rapids, surrounded by mountains, fresh air and that occasional wild life spotting (in our case, a bear, 2 bald eagles, mountain goats, one small bobcat, and countless fish). Jarrett has assembled an A-team of guides that go above and beyond with smart, responsible mentorship, showing you the ropes, educating you with stories of the land (geography and history) and they are very interesting too. Mike is a super star, ex-navy pilot with an infectious energy and smile; Ty is a smart, super friendly Mechanical Engineering student from Arkansas, Rylee is a wildlife and animal wrangling expert who can catch and clean a fish faster than anyone, Leia rounds out the group making the everyone in the group feel taken care of and is always there to help you whether your gearing up, hungry, or just have a question about anything. Shout out to Loren (Jarrod's wife and partner) for preparing a virtual gourmet feast every day. There are no words to describe just how much effort and artistry goes into to the food prep. You will eat well and trust me that there is PLENTY of food, you won't be hungry. The stars on this experience are old world. You will never see space like you do on this journey. The slide isn't always staffed, but when it is, it's super fun... even as a grown up :-) They have a rock wall, track for walking/running, and offer fitness classes. My mom likes doing the circuit of machines up in the weight lifting area. There's lots of cardio equipment. I usually prefer the free weights and non-circuit resistance machines for my workouts, and I've found everything I needed at this YMCA. Staff and members are all friendly, and I've never felt uncomfortable working out here. Sometimes you end up weighting for weights or machines, especially during peak times, but that's pretty much how it goes at any gym. Membership is $50/month for one person, or I believe $80/month for two, so a bit of savings. Considering everything you have access to with a membership, it's honestly not a bad deal. I have paid as much or more for gyms with way fewer amenities, let alone for a yoga or pilates studio. Definitely a good option.

The YMCA in West Boise offers a great experience for any newcomer to the gym or long time veterans who are just coming in to work out.
