They were hot and fresh! I almost had them polished off by the time I got home. The shrimp may have been previously frozen but they were cooked hot and crispy. I was surprised by a little side of coleslaw. I believe the slaw was store bought. I tried it and didn't care for it. The lemonade had an aftertaste similar to that of Crystal Lite. Ramel and Angel McCann are the owners, Ramel does the cooking and Angel is the "personality." Since the game began at 8:00 pm they were serving dinner food. Neither of us had ever had whiting fish so Angel gave us a sample. The fish was moist with great flavor and the breading was perfect. It was not greasy, but crisp with a wonderful flavor. We order the whiting fish sandwich, while Lisa had fried okra and I had onion rings. Both sides were superb. The dinner menu is attached. I will start by say the customer service was top notch. The young man went out of his way to suggest options for me. I ended up trying an assortment of mini Doughnuts and a strawberry banana smoothie. The doughnuts were part of the event but goodness were they good. My favorite was the "s'mores" looking one. They were fresh, warm and chewy. I even shared one with my grandma and mom and they said they were the best doughnuts they have ever had. Better than a local town favorite (hint hint - Krispy Kreme). The smoothie was awesome because it was make with real fruit of course and alkaline water which was neat. Dairy can sometimes not sit right with me so this was a blessing to find. It was a little on the sweet side so I'm hoping next time I go I can request not as sweet. I am just absolutely blown away by the care, freshness, and hospitality of this food truck. I think I'll stop on my way home from work tomorrow and treat myself to a little Friday pick me up. I've already told all my friends and family they have to go here! After 5 minutes, my bowl was done and I took it with me to eat during my lunch break at work. I don't know if it was just the day I went but the to go container looked different than others I have seen from reviews. Mine looked like it was in a soup container you would get at a Chinese restaurant - the kind with a flat lid. Because of that, a lot of the peanut butter and chia seeds stuck to the lid because the lid wasn't curved. Secondly, I ordered the Funky Monkey bowl and it was missing a few ingredients. The bowl is advertised as organic açaí base with granola, banana, strawberries, peanut butter, Nutella, and chia seeds. My bowl was missing the strawberries and Nutella part. Despite all of that, the peanut butter was good and tasted natural. If I ever go back here, I'd probably just go for their smoothies.
