I recently had to go into Toyota Service to get new brakes for my 2007 Rav4 Sport and while I knew it would be a painful visit I'm grateful for Nina's help. I liked that Nina went over the long list of services my car would need and she pointed out the most important issue to deal with. I was able to get my car checked over and serviced quickly and I was able to drive back to my home in Slidell safely with new brakes. Sent car with dead battery,and no temp tag. Received the tag the next day,. So, there's that. No word on comp for the battery. They use maverick signings for the long distance notary. You're better off avoiding mavsigns. They have awful reviews and will share your personal info and not skip a beat. The mavsigns woman told everyone my business here locally. So I was in the same situation if I had bought it locally with all the talking heads. When the mavsigns lady was here, she was signalling the nosy woman on the 4 acres across from mine and vice versa. What a creepy, twilight zone experience. Apparently everyone doesn't move to a private ranch community like this for privacy. Many of them still want to control others, even tho we have a POA lite. (another long story). I prob. could have gotten everything notarized at my bank for next to nothing instead of having no choice but paying the gossip company and charging me 200 dollars. It's not really the price, Bohn Toyota's add ons are minimal and IMO the people there are easy to work with. Darryl Eckert, my sales guy was pretty chill. No pressure and the finance guy, Peter Edel, was also very responsive and addressed all of the concerns he had control over. (which unfortunately doesn't include mavsigns). . The issue w/ mavsigns is I PAID someone to gossip about me here locally and share every little detail about my PRIVATE deal?? And why was there a thumb print needed? A thumb print to buy a car now? Mavsigns kinda also gives you the idea you can't complete their nonsense if you don't have or use a cell phone, which I avoid like the plague. (can't buy or sell w/o the mark thing?) There were no cell phones for more than half my life. I don't need one now. I'm looking for a way to report the traveling mavsigns notary, but I'm not finding a lot of things that police them here in TN. Seems like they can just do whatever. Shame such a good dealership would associate w/ them. i think it's a larger toyota issue, if I had to venture a guess. Other than mavsigns, I like the deal on a 25k mile car for what I paid. Took a minute to wade through and see what was up w/ the car when it arrived, Tried to save battery. Then had to buy one and install it. I would rate a 0 if I could. I contacted the dealership on Friday to make an appointment to test drive a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Edwin was my contact in Sales. Appointment was scheduled for 12:00-1:00 on Saturday. our drive there was 4.5 hours one way. I contacted Edwin Saturday morning before the drive to be sure the truck would be there. The truck had been looked at Friday and purchased Saturday morning by another buyer. Edwin texted us 1 hour before we got there, which I didn't see. Edwin had to be aware the vehicle was sold. I dropped off my 2022 tundra to get an estimate on replacing my spark plugs per Toyota at 40,000 miles. The service tech that checked me in said that the plugs did not to be changed that early. I left the truck and ask her to get me an estimate anyway. I received a text from another service advisor that he was getting me an estimate. The estimate came back at $886.26 to replace 6 spark plugs. I informed him the the plugs were only $142.00 at their dealership. He stated that the techs send up the labor cost, and he had no control over the labor cost. I informed him that was way outside other estimates I had received, and I would be picking the truck up. When I arrived he did not even speak to me. Just printed out some paperwork for me to sign. I asked him what the labor rate for the dealership was, and he told me $190.00 hr. That would come to 4 hours to replace 6 spark plugs. The other estimates I received from dealerships ranged from $497 to $520.00 ( these were back in the Houston area 2 days prior). I would suggest that every person going to this dealership for service call all local or close dealerships for estimates before going here. I can drive along way to save $400.00 dollars. read more

SCAMMERS!!! $34,000 MSRP trying to sell to a 20 year old military member with no credit for $36,000. They also made him pay a $1000 down payment saying he was getting a "custom" car and it would come with a bunch of goodies on it. When we tried to leave to go somewhere else they threatened to keep his $1000 down payment as well as calling us names and telling the buyer to, "leave your dumb friends out of it". They said not to go to Toyota of New Orleans when we were leaving which we did anyways and got a great deal, $32,900 for the same car. They told us they can't hold money especially if you're not gonna purchase from them and once they looked up the VIN they found out that they had marked the car as already sold to my friend. If I could leave ZERO stars I would. I selected this location for service as I work nearby. I originally had an appointment for 4:00pm however called in to get an earlier appointment. I was easily accommodated but also inquired if it would be relatively fast because I would be coming on my lunch break. I was told I could come right in. I arrived at 11:27am and was checked in right away. At 12:38pm I had not heard from anyone about my car so I called to check status. I also asked if my car had even began being worked on because I was on my lunch break. After a few minutes, the provider informed me that my car would be done in 20-25 minutes! I again asked was my car being worked and he said yes but half of the shop was at lunch. If I was informed at the time I rescheduled that this would be the case, I wouldn't have modified my original appointment. I am well aware that the service I was scheduled for does not take 1.5-2 hrs! As much as he could, he did try to console me however this is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! read more

Today we had an oil change done on our 4Runner. I have used Bohn Toyota many times in the past year, but this will probably be the last time. Our customer service representative was Cierra K (16478). We had received a coupon in the mail for customer appreciation weekend, which this turned out to be anything BUT that. We turned the car in after 8 am and were told it would be over 2 hours. Next, when my wife picked up the vehicle she attempted to use her coupon which was supposed to be for a standard oil change for 26 dollars and some change. She only found out after the work was complete that her 4Runner needed 7 quarts of SAE 0W-20 (synthetic oil) and was subsequently charged 52 dollars, but not before being rudely snapped at when Cierra said, "Well that's not for your car! You need 7 quarts and that [coupon] doesn't go up to 7 quarts!" This was after my wife asked to use the coupon. We get YOURE busy, don't be rude. This was the last incident to turn me off with this dealership. I understand that the vehicle needs full synthetic, thats fine. However, on Customer Appreciation Weekend I don't expect my wife to be rudely treated like s***. For 52 dollars we will take our business to either Lakeside Toyota for our next service or Valvoline and pay the same price to be treated better. I bought TWO vehicles from you and don't even feel appreciated when I visit your dealership. On top of that, the Toyota dealership we visit in Nevada, Dolan Toyota, always gives a complementary vacuuming and car washes for our vehicles whenever service is done. 2021 RAV4 with 50,000 miles on it. Brought it in for a scheduled service of tire rotation and an oil change. They emailed me during the appointment with five extra services that needed "immediate attention". I declined 4/5 services. The original total for tire rotation and oil change was going to be $119. With the extra services that they claimed needed immediate attention, it would have increased my bill to $700! I took my car afterwards to my personal mechanic and he reported that nothing was wrong with my car. The customer service, specifically from the attendant, Michael, was fabulous. Bohn Toyota (Salesman: Edwin) DID NOT respect my time, or my family. It took time for us to get there. They will play games with you, and your emotions. He told me the car was sold AFTER I wasted the time getting to the dealership, when he could just tell me ahead of time before I came in. So, I came in on Tuesday, March 9 for a test drive. I took pictures of the truck, and the truck's detail sheet and vin #. After the test drive, I told Edwin my offer and left, so he can talk it over with his manager. He got back to me the next day, Wednesday, March 11, and said that they agreed to my offer. My dad, who is suppose to come with me to sign off on the truck, wasn't able to come in that day, so I asked Edwin if he works the next day. He said it was his day off, so I respected his time off, and we both shoot for the day after, Friday. Friday came, but we were not able to come in, and aim for the next day, Saturday. Keep in mind, Edwin never mention the truck was sold yet or anything. He only wants to know when I am coming to the dealership. Saturday came. I was finally able to gather my siblings to come in with me, as we going to be the one signing for the truck instead of dad (gift for dad). We got to the lot, and went straight to the truck. I texted Edwin that we were "here", and were going to the truck. I believe he was ready to play games, as he wanted us to come in, instead of going outside to greet, and let us check out the truck. When we went inside, that is when he broke the news that the car was sold. At that time, it didn't cross my mind that if it was sold, why is it still on the lot? Why didn't he inform us, but waited for us to come to the dealership to give us the bad news? So, we left. I went home, and texted him why he played games. He texted back at me trying to play the confusion game on me, saying the truck is not for a V6. I guess he didn't realize I keep proof/paper trail, as I was prepared for these type of moment. What new vehicle leaks ANY oil at all? This was FAR more than a few drops from an oil change. It appears they were trying to cover up a slow leak and not pay for it. It also sounds like they had to chisel out the oil filter due to what the advisor said and then backpedaled and said they didn't chisel it out. I came in to get my car serviced here for the first time for my 30k mileage. The people are very nice but the service is terrible. I was already told that the wait would be 1 hour and 15 minutes to get my oil changed and air in my tires. The wait ended up being a hour and a half. When my car was finally done, pulled up, and ready to go I am then told that I have a slow leak in my tire because it has a nail. I was then asked if I would like to get it repaired. Why was I not told this before bringing my car back? No clue. I then have to wait even longer now to get a patch out on my tire. Another 2 hours later my car is finally done. 2 hours for a tire patch! A total of 3 and a half hours for a oil change, air in my tires, and a patch. I will not be returning. Update: I was reached out by Mr. Moore at Toyota. He was concerned about my situation and was open to hearing about what happened and how they can fix the issues. He was very kind and had a positive attitude towards the situation. I do believe in improvement and I am happy to see that they do also. read more

I think service charges are high and not made totally clear when making an online service reservation. . An oil change and tire rotation that would cost $73.00 at my home dealership was billed at $104. I complained and it was dropped $6. Plus, my home dealership gives a free wash with every servicing...and they don't charge for the service paperwork. I suspect if you provided a TOTAL price online you'd lose a lot of business...which is why you don't mind taking a little heat from those checking out. After dropping off my car for a repair to the digital dash, I was called and told they found another issue that would require the car to be left in the shop for an extra 2-3 days since the entire dashboard had to be removed. This presented a major issue since I was set to take the car on a week-long road trip the following day. I was working with a gentleman named Martin who told me he would work something out for me. A couple hours later, Martin called me back and said he was setting me up with a loaner for the entire week! Thank you to Martin and the rest of the service staff for working with me to keep my plans unchanged. Here's why they didn't get 5 stars. When I picked my Prius up after the road trip, the EV, Eco, and Power buttons didn't work. Presumably due to the removal of my dashboard from the previous repair and the subsequent improper reinstallation of the dash. Martin was more then courteous when I called back to tell him of this and I have another appointment to get the problem repaired. Pros: Courteous and polite service staff. Gave me a loaner for a whole week. Cons: My car has to go back for more repairs (I hope they give me my loaner back. Otherwise, I may have an update to this review.) read more

I received an email stating tires were buy 3 get 1 free. I chose my tires online and made the appointment and received a confirmation of the pricing on the tires and the appointment. I arrived 15 minutes prior to the appointment and was told that I did not have an appointment. They said that they could take the car anyway. I said ok then check the tires and let me know if I need tires. One hour later they come to tell me I need tires and that 4 tires installed would be $1500 without a front end alignment, which was not what my confirmation email stated. Fortunately I found the e-mail and showed the man that the quote was $1059.56 for four tires installed and with a front end alignment. He said that he would check with the parts dept to see if they ordered and received the tires and he came back and said that yes they received worded and they are in. He then said it would be 1-1.5 hours to install and here I sit 3 hours since I arrived and I'm still waiting. This is very poor customer service and they were trying to get several hundred dollars above my quote from me. That is no way to treat a widow. Never again. read more

I dropped my car off at 11 am and was told it would be ready in an hour. I took the shuttle home and waited for a call. At 1:15 I called and was told my computer system needed an update, and it would be another 30 minutes. I asked if they could go ahead and send the shuttle back to get me. She said she was busy with someone else and would send the shuttle in 10 minutes. I finally got the shuttle and arrived at the service center at 1:50. I waited another 15 minutes for them to bring my car before being informed that they couldn't find my keys. At 2:40, I was told they still hadn't found it and I have to wait at least another 30 minutes for them to cut and program another key. My service "specialist" was Kim Polk. So come here for an hour oil change if you have more than 4 hours to wait! Update: It has now been over an hour since I was told I would have a new key in an hour. And now I have to come back tomorrow to get my other key reprogrammed! read more

I initially decided to shop here because the sales rep I was spoke with on the phone was really pleasant and answered all my questions. As a first time car buyer I know I had a lot of seemingly dumb/naive questions but he was patient and answered my questions honestly. However the day I went in to buy my car turned out to be his last day and I was connected with a new sales rep. He was pleasant enough in person and promised he'd help me through the process but subsequent follow ups have left something to be desired. It seems once they get their money they don't really care about you as much. Again I got a great deal here and if you're an experienced car buyer it's worth your time checking out their deals. But for first time car buyers you need to do a lot of research to make sure the process goes smoothly. read more

I bought the TRD Pro suspension kit and headlights (online from another dealer) for my Tacoma and installed myself. I called Bohn Toyota to schedule a wheel alignment and headlight adjustment. Both maintenance actions are standard after suspension kit installation. I was quoted for the alignment, which was a competitive price compared to local auto shops. I was told I would get called back for the quote on the headlight adjustment. I called back twice to follow up and was told "We'll call you back." Never happened. Brought in vehicle at scheduled time and once again asked about headlight adjustment. They said "they don't do that here". In the Factory Service Manual it is part of the installation procedures for the suspension kit. I find it hard to believe they can replace engines, transmissions and rewire and entire vehicle, but can't pull my vehicle up to a wall and adjust the light spread/elevation to factory specifications. I was told I would get a phone call once maintenance was completed, never happened. I showed up about an hour after expected completion time and everything was smooth. Service lady was friendly during both encounters and alignment felt great and has a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. Maintenance they did perform was great. Not being a "full service" location at a legitimate dealership is pretty substandard in my opinion. read more

I have purchased several cars in my life and this experience was the worst. I actually felt pressured into buying something I did not want, but I am living with it since the car note is low. I do not recommend this dealership, they have a bunch of babies selling the cars and then send in the older salesmen to trap you into a purchase. I decided to refinance at a much better rate with my credit union and requested a refund of the GAP insurance ($1,000.00). I have been on a wild goose chase to get this process complete and the finance dept's customer service is awful. I was even told that I should be able to follow the directions on the website (the lil finance man was about to get cursed out with that comment.)
