I hate buying cars. It's not my thing, and that's why I only do it about once a decade or so. However, I have to say that the Bryan Subaru experience was pretty top-notch and made everything quite easy for me. (And yes, I know that so much has changed since I last bought a car in 2014, so hang with this grandma for a bit, yeah?) First, almost everything you want to do in your car shopping anymore can be completed online. You can check out the inventory on hand, check out the pricing and any deals, and even get preapproval if that's what you want. So, when I went in, I had a game plan. I had checked the different inventories around the state and had a fairly good idea of what I was looking for in my new car. I sent a message saying when I was coming, and Greg told me he'd have what I was looking for ready. We went on the test drive (although I did forget to pick up my gift card), and then he patiently answered all my questions and showed me some different options (color, interior, etc.). I told him I would be back the next week, as I had a game plan of what I needed to do, and he said that was cool. He checked on me, but never had that jam-it-down-your-throat feeling as many salesmen do. I ended up running out of time trading in my old car, but one day later than promised, I was there and Greg got me what I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. I took my subaru to the Bryan Subaru service department to be checked out before a road trip. First time I've been to the dealership and I was very very happy. Everyone I came in contact was was awesome. Waiting area was clean and coffee etc was a nice touch. Brian my service advisor kept me updated on the progress and I would definitely give everyone I came in contact a five star rating. I spent 11k on major repairs to vehicle. 3 months later, I began having issues with my vehicle. I spoke to another repair shop, only to find that a hose that connects to the radiator was leaking, more issues with my CV axle. Always want to change for every single issue. Bryan Subaru claimed they were not responsible for my back up camera not working after I got the 11k repairs done. I took it to a repair shop, and they said it was a setting that got turned off and was an easy setting to turn back on. read more

My experience of the people working here was that they were very nice and helpful but they had very limited inventory of used Subarus. I've heard that they can be extremely nice to some people and quite rude to other people - maybe it's based on race? On at least three pages of website, it states " no appointment needed for oil change." Three of five of our Subarus have been purchased at Bryan. Two Foresters. Three Outback's. Called dealer to ask if I should schedule an oil change. Was told "No, but Express oil change is open until 4:45." The website says service is open until 6:00. Got there at 4:10. Stood there for about ten minutes while two male and one female service writers busily shuffled papers and ignored me. Finally, another employee helped me. She informed me that I needed an appointment and that they could not help me. She asked "Mr. Bryan" to help. He just said ,"Our techs leave at 5:00." It was now 4:15. Pitiful customer service. Not my first bad experience at Bryan. I buy a new vehicle every three years. Never setting foot in Bryan Subaru again. Good customer service escapes this place. read more

First, I love my Subaru, and I've always been very satisfied with the service department. This morning's visit started off so well with first meeting with Adam, who was not my service coordinator, but graciously took the notes on my issue: a sporadically working fan blower with a working A/C system. I gave him my key and settled into the comfortable waiting area. Things went south when Bryan, my assigned service advisor, told me they could only pinpoint the problem when the problem exists. What? I completely understand the logic, but that was not the correct answer in the world of customer service. (NOTE: In April 2025, I spent 4 hours waiting in the service department for this exact issue.) He explained (again) that his technicians would have to work on it during the non-working fan times. I said I could turn it on right now and it may or may not work; I could be on a road trip, and it may or may not come on. In south Louisiana, it is stressful to get into your car during a hot, summer thunderstorm and not have the fan motor/panel/electrical circuit to the well-functioning A/C working. Bryan would not budge on or offer another solution other than leaving it with him again. He did seem a bit stressed; maybe because it's the day before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, now a loyal Subaru customer is stressed because I now have to find a reliable mechanic to assist in the issue. Overall, I still rate this business with 4 stars because this is the first time I have felt compelled to review due to my usually pleasant experiences. read more

I bought a car from them. From the beginning it seemed like who needed to sign something or approve something was either out for the day or out to lunch. I have a 2019 Subaru Outback. My radio was not working properly. I brought my car in and left it there. After two weeks they finally told me there was a back order on the part. They finally got the radio after 3 months. They called and said if I could not come within 3 days they had to send it back. I could get there. They sent it back. I called a couple of few months later and asked them to reorder it. I was told it was reordered and would receive a text confirmation. I did not. I called back a couple of weeks later. Again I was told it would be reordered and would receive a confirmation. I did not. I called back. They said there was record that it was ordered. The person was out and would call me back. They did not. Now they want me to bring my car in for an appointment to check my mileage. To order a radio? They say that is the protocol. This has been a long, frustrating, time and money wasting process. The radio is under warranty so I have to go through Subaru. They are the only Subaru dealer within 30 miles. They will waste your time and money and do not care about good customer service. read more

I went to purchase a 2023 Crosstrek. Two salesmen were there. They both looked at one another, neither one of them greeted me. The First Gentleman told his colleague he had an appointment coming in. So he stood up from his desk. His body language said it all. I told him I was interested in Crosstrek sport model. He said he didn't have any in stock at the moment. I had the absolute worst experience of my life dealing with Bryan Suburu Service Center on 09.08.22. My so called "Service Advisor," Richard Elvey was the most unprofessional, rude, and condescending individual I have ever met. He was nothing short of a "snake oil" salesman and I absolutely regret allowing this gentleman to service my vehicle. Mr. Elvey did not make eye contact with me one time during our conversations, which should have been a warning sign not to entrust my vehicle to him. He came across as shady and untrustworthy only to confirm my suspicions of him when he provided the total invoice for service. I am confident I overspent by at least $1,000 having these people service my vehicle and I will be contacting the Suburu corporate office to lodge a formal complaint. I truly believe I was scammed by Richard Elvey and that he oversold me by a large amount of money. To top it all off Richard Elvey was EXTREMELY rude to both myself and my 17 year old son when we went to pick up my vehicle. Never bring your car to Bryan Suburu Service Center. 3 year later and I still love my car. Most of the staff (both sales & service) are aces and I like the online booking system BUT why doesn't the online booking actually email the service reps who will be working on my car???!!!! Recently, the potholes of New Orleans took out one of my tires. I have a comprehensive service package (gold star plus) which includes tires (and roadside assistance so shout out to the guy who came out in the rain to change my tire for me). So I book my appointment on Tuesday night when I get home for the following Thursday afternoon which is my first available time to take vacation time from work to get the car fixed. It takes a while to get from downtown to the dealership thanks to construction happening everywhere so I show up and they don't have my tire in stock. The service rep was very apologetic and made sure that I have his card so next time I can duplicate my booking in the online system by emailing him. This efficient how? But I guess that's what I'll have to do. The tire was in stock within 24 hours and I was able to get back out to the dealership and have it changed on my 2nd trip. Also, my gold star plan covers tires...BUT the program is really setup for the dealership to be reimbursed not for customers. The service reps are nice but both times I've needed tires replaced they have been shocked that it is an actual customer calling them....(after 15 minutes on hold with Subaru to get their phone number and then another 10 minutes maneuvering through their menus). Evidently, Bryan is the only Subaru dealership in the US who makes the customer pay rather than going through the service themselves. read more

I knew in March of 2014 that my wife's next car would probably be a Subaru, as her 2005 Nissan Xterra (named Ruby), although running perfectly, would be turning 11 years old in 2016. I was already looking online and comparing compact SUV's, and the Subaru Outback and Forester had the highest IIHS safety ratings. I joined a Subaru Outback and Forester forum in March 2014 and began reading and listening to other Subie owners. Fast forward to March 2016 and the Xterra was still running great with 97 K miles. But it was time to retire Ruby and get my wife & child into a newer, safer vehicle. I began a "hard target search" and immersed myself in online reviews, magazine reviews, Subaru literature and YouTube videos. I also made a 36 column spreadsheet comparing compact SUV's, and the Forester & Outback were decisively at the top of the list. My wife put the kibosh on the Outback but stated she liked the Forester. My sister had recently purchased a new Outback based on my extensive Subaru research. She advised me that sales manager Mike Romagossa at Bryan Subaru had worked with her in an attempt to get her a Tungsten colored Outback. Mike sits near her at the Saints games and she vouched that he was a really good guy. So I made it a point to introduce myself as I knew we would be getting a Forester soon. Before my visit, I went online on Yelp and saw that Yelper Jennifer B. worked for Bryan Subaru and bought a Subie from them, as did Yelper Jen L. I reached out to them, and they both highly recommended salesperson Rex Bubacz (pronounced BOO-bock) at Bryan. Now I had my preferred dealership and all that was left was to negotiate a good deal. Upon our arrival at Bryan, we met with Mike Romagossa and he introduced us to Rex. Rex is not just an "ordinary" salesperson. He is a certified Subaru salesperson, which means that he enrolled in several online courses to become a subject matter expert (SME) on all things Subaru. It was immediately evident that he was definitely a SME, as there were no questions that he could not answer; and I asked a lot of questions. He is also a Subaru Summit Peak Performer, which means that within his sales district, which includes Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, TX,; he is ranked 3rd in vehicle sales, which is no small feat. Rex is the Clark Kent of salespersons. He has a quiet demeanor and a subtle sense of humor that immediately puts you at ease. However, his professional appearance, product knowledge and honest approach to sales assures you that you are in good hands. Even though we wanted a Forester XT Touring with the 250 HP turbocharged 2.0 liter engine, we also test drove the 170 HP 2.5 liter naturally aspirated engine for a benchmark comparison. And there was no comparison, as the XT turbo blew us away. Rex was very informative on the 2 test drives, especially just before we began each drive, as he explained a lot of the vehicle's features. However, during the actual drive, he was quite unobtrusive and let us enjoy the experience; and only made pertinent comments as they relayed to a specific vehicle feature. I'll go on the record and state that Rex was the main reason, but not the only reason we decided to purchase our car at Bryan. Once we negotiated a fair deal, we ordered the exact vehicle we wanted and waited for it to arrive. Now it was time to meet with the finance manager, which is usually a very uncomfortable and sometimes frustrating experience. However, Business/Finance Mgr. Andy Daigle sets a new standard on just how easy it can be to buy a car. Since we had already negotiated a price with Rex, and received a top tier financing rate based on our 800+ credit score, we walked into Andy's office, signed all the required paperwork, received copies of everything we signed and were out of the door with our new Subaru keys in LESS than an hour. Talk about a refreshing concept. Kudos to you Andy. When we were ready to leave, we were escorted to our new vehicle by David, who for lack of a better term is a concierge delivery specialist. Normally, at other dealerships, this is done by your salesperson. He walked us through nearly every feature of our new Forester XT Touring (named Scarlet) and helped my wife pair her phone via Bluetooth, as well as demonstrating how the touchscreen stereo & navigation worked, how the X-Drive system worked and how the three different transmission modes (with paddle shifters) worked. Bryan Subaru was a pilot program for this service and I think it should be adopted by all dealerships. Lastly, although we did not get to meet Service Manager Mickey Rhodes and his staff, we did receive a complimentary factory scheduled maintenance plan for 2 years / 24 K miles. Therefore, we'll meet them soon enough. I like to support local businesses and Bryan has been family owned and operated for 61 years; so it was a pleasure to support them. I went to this dealer twice and each time was worst than the last. The first time I went I was completely ignored, even after I drove the lot, parked, and walked inside. I left, but decided a little later to go back since I drove a ridiculous distance to go look at a specific car there. The second time I arrived I ran into a gentleman in the parking lot and asked him if he was a car salesman. He said he wasn't but he could help me find one and wanted to know why I was there. I told him I came to look at the Subaru BRZ. Right away he told me I wouldn't be interested in it because it's a turbo and maybe they could find me a used car instead. I thought that was rude but I really wanted to see the car so I played along. I went inside and he left me while he went to discuss with the car salesman what I was there for. Finally a salesman came out and introduced himself and asked if I was in the market for a BRZ. I told him I was in the market for some type of sporty car and I wanted to compare them all. He asked me what else I was looking at and I told him other cars I've seen. He thought about it and said those were in the same class as the BRZ but he wouldn't show me the BRZ because I wouldn't be interested in it. He told me I wouldn't be interested because it has a turbo and he was going to go check his inventory to see what else he could find me. Naturally that's when I left. I don't know if they were judging me because my truck costs almost double the BRZ or if it was because I was wearing a flannel shirt. It's 2020, I would hate to think they were judging me based on skin color. So why the two stars instead of zero you ask? Simple, because of their wildly inappropriate, offensive, and probably embarrassing to them, behavior I reached out to Subaru to report this problem. Not only was Subaru able to find me a dealer that was willing to sell me a brand new car, which is literally every other Subaru dealer in the history of car dealers, but they're also giving me a nice big fat juicy discount. I should thank Bryan Subaru actually. Thank them for talking me out of a buying a car I didn't want, a factory turbo BRZ, lol. read more

The appointment started out well enough. I showed up 15 minutes early for a 10:45 appointment I made online for an oil change and tire rotation. Checking in was fairly quick, especially since I was early. The service advisor even asked me to confirm the services I wanted and caught that I had made a mistake in asking for a rotation and balance when I only wanted a rotation. This saved me some money and for that I am grateful. I asked about how long it would take and he said about an hour so I went for a walk. I got back to the dealership after 50 minutes and expected to wait a little so I started walking around the lot looking at cars. I noticed my car was in a bay across the street, I'm guessing at their sister Chevrolet dealership. I noticed no one was actively working on it at that time. After walking around the lot 30 minutes I walked across the street to confirm that I still hadn't seen anyone working on my car. I also noticed my assigned service advisor sleeping in his car parked on the street dividing the dealerships. I went back in to the showroom to find another service advisor asleep at his desk. This would be the very first person someone walking in to the dealership via the service department doors would see. Not very professional. I walked around the showroom for another 20 minutes or so and my service advisor finally came around telling me my car was ready and apologized for the delay as they were "backed up". Considering I watched it sitting idle for 45 minutes the only conclusion I can come to is that it was ready but everyone was asleep for an hour which made my total time almost 2 hours. I was not impressed and I am undecided if I would return to this dealership for future sales or service. I will withhold the names of those I dealt with during this visit unless contacted directly for follow up. On a side note, I was also not provided with the multi-point inspection sheet I am accustomed to receiving with my invoice so I have no idea if one was completed or not. The invoice says it was completed but that wouldn't be the first false statement made by Bryan Subaru during this visit. Went in after they emailed and reminded me of my 12k service. I looked online and booked my appointment for 10am on Columbus Day. I arrive and check in. They guy instantly trying to up sell services. I decline. Just the oil change tire rotation. 125 dollars. Car comes back unwashed with plastic liner and paper floor covers still in. Not vacuumed. Paperwork not ready. So I wait. They get paperwork ready. Don't wash car. Don't vacuum. Did get in two more attempts to sell me a air filter for 35.00 though. read more

BRYAN SUBARU located at 8305 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA knowingly my disabled partner, and me drive halfway across the country in an utterly unsafe vehicle. Prior to leaving New Orleans for Denver, I brought my 2005 Forester to this business and asked them to diagnose and repair any and all things wrong with it in preparation of our 1,300-mile journey. I specifically requested the air conditioning be fixed because my partner has MS and is a chemotherapy patient and CANNOT be without a working A/C or heater in the car due to the nature of her illness. Bryan Subaru had our car for almost six weeks on two separate occasions. They failed to fix the A/C and a couple other problems the first time, so I had to bring it back. This should have been the first red flag. But, I convinced myself that having my car in the hands of a dealership with Subaru parts was the best option for the future life of the vehicle. After working four jobs for many months in a row to afford repairs, the Bryan Subaru service department took $4,200 of my hard-earned money, shook my hand and looked me dead in the eyes assuring me our car was in great condition for the drive to Colorado. Before we were 60 miles outside of New Orleans the middle piping fell into the muffler, but we kept going despite my Forester sounding like a loud motorcycle. In Shreveport, LA, 350 miles outside of New Orleans, the A/C quit working. Luckily we were already checked into a motel. Had we been in the extreme heat of that day on a long stretch of highway, my partner could have died. It is the sole reason I needed the A/C repaired so badly. We miraculously found a mechanic in an auto parts parking lot on a Sunday afternoon. He looked at my car for 30 minutes and was able to tell me the blower motor needed replacing and that is why the A/C quit. Completely unrelated, he also pointed out that someone installed the wrong radiator hose and that my engine may overheat along the way. In 30 minutes this man found two major problems with my car that Bryan Subaru could not find in six weeks. He put electrical tape around the wiring of the blower motor and said the A/C should work, at least until Colorado, and thankfully it did. I brought my Forester to a dealership here in Colorado. The diagnostic report was horrifying. In addition to the blower motor and radiator hose, the test found major leaks in the engine and transmission, all at an estimated cost of nearly $10,000. The service representative responsible for overseeing my car looked over the invoices from Bryan Subaru in awe. He informed me there is no possible way Bryan Subaru made the repairs they did without noticing these major leaks, melted wiring, and bad hose. His exact words were, "They knowingly let you drive an unsafe vehicle that was beyond repair and you should not spend another penny on this car." Bryan Subaru has not only refused any compensation, they will not even acknowledge they did not repair my car, let alone their blatant neglect for our immediate safety. Now we are completely without, and another vehicle is simply not in our near future because we have spent every dime we have. As my partner's caregiver, reliable transportation plays a crucial role in our everyday lives for so many reasons. We are now forced to rely on public transportation and expensive rideshares to get back and forth to her hospital for appointments and treatment. I do not expect anyone to understand, but these options are less than ideal for someone in her condition. I have spoken with an attorney and the bottom line is, we cannot afford to fight this in court. Even if we could, because my partner did not die and no one was physically harmed, there is no case for neglect. All I can do is ask for money back for repairs they claim to have made but did not, which I have, and they refuse. One of his suggestions was to inform as many people as I know of what happened to us so that it may prevent the same thing happening to another person. So, that is the purpose of this post. If I can prevent one other soul from being scammed out of thousands of dollars and from experiencing the mental anguish and depression that we have, it will be worth it. read more

We have worked with two salesman, Rex and John, and they have both been courteous, professional and helpful. I like Bryan Subaru because they aren't pushy. Don't waste your time with the service department at Bryan Subaru. I purchased my Subaru Crosstrek hybrid from the dealership in 2016. The experience was unremarkable, not good or bad. Although, the wrong car color was ordered. This year my hybrid's battery started to give me trouble. I noticed that the car wasn't switching to battery power like it should and I started to get hybrid system alerts. I dropped my car off at 8:45am and went into work in New Orleans. I commute from Slidell, so when I hadn't heard anything by 3:30pm I was concerned about how I was going to get home. I tried to call the number I was provided and it went to voicemail. I tried again at 4pm and it went to voicemail. I called the front desk and the receptionist told me that the service department was busy. I received a phone call at 4:30pm from the service department. I could hear the service technician in the background as I relayed the same information back to the person on the phone, "my car is no longer powered off of the hybrid battery and it is giving me a hybrid error". I heard the service technician say, "oh it could be the battery". This is what I said when I had dropped the car off 8 hours prior. It almost seemed like they hadn't even looked at my car yet. I then asked if I would get my car back by the end of the day because I commute and I would need a way to get home. They told me they needed to "try a few more things" and they would get back to me. I didn't hear from them until 4:30pm the following day. I tried calling and emailing just to receive information about my car and no one answered/responded. The service department was literally screening my calls. All I needed to know was if I needed to arrange alternative transport home. I picked the car up that afternoon. I was told that there was nothing wrong with my car. I asked if it was being powered by the hybrid battery and they said "No, but its not telling us anything is wrong with it". I was told that it was probably too hot outside for my hybrid battery to function properly and to come back if it still happened when it was cooler outside. I was assured that driving with this would not damage my car. My car started making terrible sounds the following day. I emailed the service department videos of the sounds and they did not respond. I finally contacted Subaru of America, because the dealership was not responsive. Subaru of America was not even able to get into contact with the service department. Y'all they screened Subaru of America! Meanwhile, my car was making terrible sounds and the hybrid system was failing for a week. I made an appointment with Baldwin Subaru of Covington. As soon as I called and told the service department what was going on, they told me they knew exactly what it was. I brought it in and they provided me with a loaner car so that I could commute. My hybrid battery was the issue, which is what I told the people at Bryan Subaru. They are repairing it now and Subaru of America is helping out as well. This review is of the Bryan Subaru used car affiliate, not the new car dealer, with whom I have no experience. I accompanied a friend on a test drive last week. She was looking at a used Forester. The salesman, Terry seemed friendly and accommodating, and had pulled three cars for my friend and I to look at. The first of the three objectively had a brake issue. I am not a mechanic and did not claim to be, but the braking performance was uneven and you could detect some feedback on the pedal. I was admittedly hard on the gas and brakes as to be thorough on the car's performance. While I was critical of the vehicle, I was not disrespectful to the dealership or Terry, who accompanied us on the test drive. By the time we got back to the dealership, the car was smoking and there was a noticeable odor (which both Terry and the manager dismissed). The manager drove the vehicle himself and confirmed that there was a brake issue that would be checked out in the morning. We parted cordially, and Terry said he would be in touch with my friend. I thought that was it. At 10 pm that evening, my friend sent me a screenshot of a text that Terry had just sent her. The timing if the text itself is questionable and it was also rife with spelling and grammatical errors (borderline nonsensical). In it he referred to me as a "kid" and "boy" a number of times (I am 33), claimed I knew nothing about cars and made fun of my truck (that he never saw) for being a 2002 (which he mistook for a 2000). He referred to me as "Evil Kneival" and asked that I not return with my friend should she want to look at any other vehicles (spoiler alert, she doesn't). He signed the text as "2017 Salesperson of the Year". He not only texted my friend a number of times after that (she hadn't responded) he also texted an out-of-state friend of hers who had called Terry to inquire about the vehicle. He basically told the guy the same things Terry had been texting my friend. I told my friend that this is borderline harassment (possibly the sign of a disorder of some kind), and that I would be concerned if I were she. While everything about the texts was terribly unprofessional, the timing of the text can be somewhat excused, since he and my friend had been friendly in their previous text messages. I mean, I wouldn't, but I am just a dumb kid with an old truck, so what do I know? My thought is that Terry has incredibly thin skin for a customer service "professional". He clearly felt disrespected by me enough to mock me via text to two separate people on his personal time. The really interesting thing about this whole scenario is that Terry was trying to upsell my friend into a newer, more expensive vehicle and did not even want her to buy the Forester that had the brake issue. With that fact, I am very confused as to why he took it so personally that I advised my friend not to buy a car that he did not even want to sell her to begin with. As a professional myself, I cannot imagine conducting myself as Terry did. If he is in fact the 2017 salesperson of the year, I have serious questions about the rest of the salespeople at Bryan Subaru. read more

What a joke, if you like bait and switch come spend your money here. After trying to get a trade in value I was told to go on the website and fill things out there. One month later when the car comes in they offered 5000 less. I understand a 10% swing, but over 30% is outright deceptive. UPDATE: Repair made here failed in 12 months. Entire service needed to be re-done, and different repair shop noted poor installation. Called to speak with the Bryan Subaru service manager, left a voicemail, no return call. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid for any Subaru repair/service work. Original: I moved to New Orleans from the northeast with my Subaru Forester. I began to experience a few issues, and at the request of Subaru of America I took my car to Bryan. Thankfully, most of the work would be covered by Subaru (this is why I LOVE them) but it required the work being done at a certified Subaru dealer. With this, I handed my car over to Bryan Subaru. I will say, the employees are very friendly and kind people. I needed brake work, and my rear hubs replaced and a new oxygen sensor. Here are my reasons for dissatisfaction. 1) It took almost three weeks for the repairs to be completed due to continual shipping delays. A positive - they provided me with a loaner car, which I really appreciated. 2) They continued to find "new" issues. After their diagnosis, their estimated bill was $1,400. When all was said and done, the bill was closer to $4,000. I'm not sure if they were running it up because Subaru was paying for it, or how much of it was really necessary. 3) Poor communication - I had to call them for updates, they did not call me. 4) And this is the worst - they installed a new o2 sensor telling me their was a 75% chance it would turn off the persistent check engine light. They installed it, and it did not. I then brought my care to Performance Motor Works of NOLA and was informed: a) A prior mechanic installed the wrong catalytic converters. Something Bryan should have spotted from DAY 1 and informed me of the necessary work so I could hold the prior mechanic accountable. b) A new o2 sensor would do no good, and would be a waste of time. I had installed a new o2 sensor before bringing the car to Bryan, but they suggested a new one still was necessary. I will not bring my car to Bryan, and I suggest you don't. They are a new Subaru dealer, and I don't put faith in their mechanical department. Maintaining a Subaru requires a master mechanic - someone who loves these types of cars as much as the drivers do. I suggest finding a mechanic who holds a greater history with repairs. read more

I brought my vehicle in Saturday morning because several dash lights had illuminated including Check Engine. Richard Elvey was the only service advisor there and he couldn't have been nicer. He was able to do a quick diagnostic plug in and determine the general cause, and schedule me an appointment in a couple of days when all of the technicians are available. Skeleton crews on Saturday, which is pretty much every dealership. I also happened to see the previous negative post when I was trying to find their opening time and shared it with him. Like always, two sides to every story. And yes, he looked me in the eye. If he had done anything wrong, he wouldn't still be there. I have dealt with at least 3 service advisors there and I have found each to be trustworthy at how they explain my vehicle needs and whether it needs to be done immediately or if it can wait. They have also done what they could to help me on pricing for repairs a couple of times. I purchased my Forester there in 2014 and it has been serviced there ever since and is approaching 100k. Of course we all want the cost to be minimal, but it is what it is. Still better than forking over for a new ride. You can trust him and them is coming from 9 years of experience. read more

I bought my car here in 2013 (happy with that experience too!) and have been coming back for every oil change and routine maintenance visit ever since. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful and it's not a bad facility to hang out in and wait while the car gets serviced. You can even make some new tags for your pet while you wait! I would like to also recognize Trey for exceptional service. He has been my Service Manager the last few scheduled visits and is always very polite, thorough, and very patient in answering all my questions and making sure I am comfortable with the information being presented to me. I have never felt like I am being talked into any unessisary work or additional expenses. Through the years, I've even called up for random vehicle specific questions and concerns and the calls are always answered with confident and knowledgeable responses and if needed, same day appointments for a mechanic to examine the vehicle in person. read more

Jason was awesome and extraordinarily helpful - he made sure everything was done properly and even made sure my car got a bath at the end! Also, thank you for having teas and natural sweeteners available at the beverage counter in the service waiting area! My only comments for improvement would be to have the ability to change the channel or mute the sound on the tv in the waiting area (as I was a hostage of a news channel reliving the OJ Simpson soap opera, which I'd rather not relive) - and to have a separate vending machine for the mechanics in their shop, as one of them was having difficulty getting his desired snack out of the machine in the waiting area lobby and proceeded to tip, shake, and slam it around, which was loud and annoying. Other than those two small gripes, I'm a very satisfied customer of Bryan Subaru! read more

I found Rex to be very straightforward and easy to speak to. He seemed to be taking his cues from me, rather from his own agenda. He offered me what I believe was his best deal, without me needing to pull teeth or play games. He had a real-world relationship with me, not a car-dealer relationship. Andy was also great. Efficient and clear...and he found a way to save me some money too, by registering my out-of-state trade with Louisiana and getting me the credit on sales tax. I used the $1500 he saved me to buy the Subaru 7 year / 100,000 mile warranty. Win-win, as all business deals SHOULD be. Thanks. It was difficult getting a spreadsheet or PDF of our agreed deal...Maybe a tech upgrade is in order? At least to stay current... People expect a lot to be made available and viewable on their smartphones. Being able to view the sales agreement on my phone, from within an email should be normal. apart from that? Awesome car buying experience! We started thinking about getting a new car right after Isaac, when we realised the ground clearance on our 12 year old Corolla was woefully inadequate. Looked at all the mid-sized SUVs, and made a list of the ones we wanted to test-drive, with the Subaru Forester at the top of the list. We steeled ourselves against the hard-sell, and drove onto the Bryan Subaru lot. Even before we had gotten out of our Corolla, the door was swinging open and the dealer was descending on us, Or so we thought... Greg turned out to be nothing more than pleasant and helpful. He took his cues from us, was self-aware and good-natured. He showed us what we had, was willing to be pretty flexiable, and made the sale. I didn't buy my car here but since it's new I've been bringing it by here for service. I have never had a new car and have never used dealerships for service before but I've been very happy with the people here at Bryan Subaru. Oil changes are a bit pricey compared to aftermarket places, of course, but the level of service here is hard to beat. I get a car wash just for stopping by and all the decent coffee I can drink. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. I'm not a mechanically inclined person, I understand the basics of the internal combustion engine and how things work and know how to change my own oil but I am by and large completely ignorant of the workings of my automobile. I've never got the sense that I'm being jerked around or taken advantage of here. I've never been up sold or pressured into paying for stuff I don't want or need. I just check in, takes 2 minutes, and hang out on the couches drinking coffee and using the free wifi. I had a very minor electrical problem, a window switch not working, and they got it sorted and gave me a loaner to drive while they waited on a part to come in. I get the feeling that they take care of you here, which is especially nice considering I didn't even buy the car here. read more

[Review of service department at Bryan Subaru] ​ The service manager was awful. He overstated which services were ACTUALLY required, and only when we dug into each item with him did he tell us that "Well, if you're already pulling out the engine for the required service, there no reason not to do these other services" and repeated the line that "there's no reason not to" or "might as well" do these other services, when, in fact, there are some MAJOR reasons not to do so, including costs, time without the car, and their actual necessity. Further, after telling us we needed $4,000 worth of repairs on an old used car I bought for $3,000 (which, as I said above, was actually ONE major service we needed and then 6 or 7 other ones we "might as well do"), the service manager suggested we should sell the car. We asked him how much we'd get from Bryan Subaru, and he said it would be around $500. THEN he suggested that we simply fail to inform a potential buyer of all of the issues with the car and we could get $3,000 out of it. I can't believe that someone who wants ​us ​to trust ​him​ with our car and money would suggest that we deceive someone else into purchasing a deeply flawed car. I will warn people away from Bryan Subaru (at least the repair side of things--I have no experience with the sales side) every chance I get from now on. Only decent thing is that they give you snacks while you wait. Doesn't make up for a dishonest repair manager. read more

The previous team went out of their way to accommodate me in a most professional manner. This visit, the first person I spoke with had only been on the job for 2 months and couldn't answer most of my questions about my regular check up.
