Bogus Basin is a great place to learn to ski their ski instructors and Ski Patrol are incredibly well trained, kind, and qualified. I myself learned to ski at bogus basin through their passport program. A program that includes upon completion gear rental for the entire season and a season pass. Bogus basin is one of the few ski resorts that is open for night skiing until 10 PM during regular season depending on snowfall. That means our ski resort is open for 12 hours a day on average. Are food price is a little high? Sure, but not out of the question for what other ski resorts are also charging this year both of the lodges upgraded to accept Apple Pay! There's a new taco Cantina at the renovated Pioneer Lodge, and of course they serve barbecue at the outside stand. Bogus basin has over 32 runs across varying levels several black diamonds, long cat tracks and an awesome beginner area. I love our ski Mountain. I love that we have the access and ability to ski so easily and close to us. I regularly visit bogus basin at least 2 to 3 times a week during the season. In the summer bogus offers, concerts, yoga, and a roller coaster! I highly recommend everyone who visits Boise visits bogus!

Those were different times,…read morewhen the mountain truly felt like a community-focused place rather than a corporate entity. Recently, I paid $110 for a lift ticket and experienced a day marked by a sense of urgency and some irritability among visitors, which made the experience less enjoyable. In three hours, I was able to make six runs, which was noteworthy given the circumstances. The snow was surprisingly good considering the effects of global warming. The parking lot was very crowded all the way up to Pioneer Lodge, and the volume of visitors was quite remarkable. The Deer Point Express lift experienced several slowdowns due to wear and tear, so I chose to avoid it. On a positive note, the guest services staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful. The ski shop staff also assisted me with a binding issue free of charge after some discussion about a potential fee.

The wonderful staff, especially the two lovely ladies, provided outstanding service. They kindly took my information and promptly took my skis to be tested. In just 10 minutes, I was all set and ready to hit the slopes. I really appreciated the great value of this service, which was also reasonably priced. I'm so grateful they were able to fit me in and help me get ready for the hill. Thank you so much!

We love Greenwood's Ski Haus. I've purchased most of my ski equipment here including boots, poles,…read morehelmets, gloves. And I have had excellent customer service experiences every time. I appreciate how their associates are knowledgable and passionate about skiing. It makes a world of difference when a sales rep knows what they are talking about and can ask the right questions to make sure you get the best products for your skill level. They take excellent care of their customers especially for their boot fittings. I have never felt rushed or brushed off during the fitting experience. I have also rented skis here for my kids several times and I appreciate that you can trade in equipment as your kid grows during the season. This is 100% worth it for me because my kids like to outgrow shoes as soon as I buy them. I recommend Greenwood's for any skier no matter what your skill level is. They will meet you where you're at and get you fitted with the best gear.

The whole unit is nice and clean. The bathroom is small with no counter so if you use the top shelf to place your toiletries on, be sure to remember them when packing up (I Totally Forgot Them). The shower stall was plenty big enough for us and has a quick supply of hot water with no pressure issues. The towels are excellent, they actually absorb water and dry you off. There is a kitchen we didn't use but the full size refrigerator was a plus. The air conditioner did a pretty good job filtering out all the smoke from the wild fires. We like to turn AC units off at night because of the noise, and open a window. None of the windows here are operable though. Probably for the best considering the unhealthy outside air. The neighborhood is quiet with only two noisy vehicles all night long. Be aware however that construction begins at 6:30 am on the large project directly across the street. It is unlikely you can sleep through any of the sudden din. Earplugs would be helpful, but of course I did not bring them. The locking system for the door is a great idea and so easy to use. You get to use four digits of your phone number and it's already set up! We really enjoyed all the restaurant choices close by that were in walking distance. The route meant walking through the capitol building grounds, which were kind of cool. We didn't use the available bicycles but maybe next time!

It's crazy to think that everything was contactless. You get a code for the door, you pay in advance, and there isn't a need to see anybody. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the walkability to downtown and the State Capital. We walked to downtown everyday of our stay. We weren't around much to soak in the property. There is laundry in the back, and a backyard you can relax in. We did read out on the porch while sipping on a can of beer. That was fun. I highly recommend staying at the Boise Guest House. Especially if you are someone that's independent and doesn't want the fuss of hotels. Oh, we never figured out how you can use the bikes. Make sure to ask before your trip. I was hoping that there was information, but I couldn't figure that out.
