This place is edible heaven! Potent edibles, Fair prices, upscale, white glove service. Grab and go- no place to really sit and relax. We bought a bunch of edibles and other stuff to take back to Germany with us (by car). Surprised no check station going in or out.

Maybe I shouldn't post this publicly, but I'm not planning on running for office. . . so: I live in New York and smoke illegally with what one could call "regularity". Weed isn't the only reason I went to Amsterdam. There's also really pretty canals, buildings from when America hadn't even been discovered, and FEBO. But, it was certainly on my itinerary and I went to several "coffeeshops". Surprisingly, I much prefer the illegal weed set up I have stateside. Some guy comes over, opens a lockbox, and I select my goodies. Boerejongens was the place that made me question my American way of life. It's pure class. While other shops I visited were loud and crowded and filled with drunk British teenagers, Boerejongens was like an apothecary for the smoker with discerning taste. The inside is white marble and wood. Shelves line the wall with various strains. A glass display of fancy spacecakes is on the counter. The extremely helpful budtenders wear white collared shirts and suspenders. There is a small smoking room upstairs that feels like a rich man's study, with leather chairs and bookshelves lining the wall. Buying weed in my own home is my preference, but this is a solid second place.

A great spot to hit for a night cap. Great pricing, very informative, small and modern with a cool vibe!

There are four or five bud tenders that are very knowledgable with their craft and will suggest things as needed.

My little sister and I were "tired" and wanted to try some local "coffee"…read more She had never had a cup of coffee before and thought being in Amsterdam with her older brother was the perfect occasion. We had a blast! The staff is super friendly (and why wouldn't they be? Their customer base is always happy and never violent), the music is off the hook and the vibes are perfect. We went on a very quiet week night so I imagine the vibes are different when it's packed. Still, a nice little touristy spot to get your coffee fix.

Most of the establishments looked pretty quiet and dead except for Smokey and the club next door. Since we weren't in the mood for clubbing, we decided to go to Smokey. The moment we walked in, I noticed that it totally lived up to its namesake and was totally... smokey. Too smokey. It almost seemed like there was a fire going on inside. The place was pretty packed and busy, but we managed to snag a little bar table by the door. It was next to the vending machine for ciggies and under a large clock, so I could keep tabs on exactly what time it was. :) I sat on a high bar stool by the wall, while my bf sat with his back towards the room. It wasn't the best position for him to be in, as people kept bumping into him as they were walking by. He got a beer, and I ordered a mint tea because I didn't feel like drinking any more alcohol. I loved how the mint tea came with tons of fresh mint leaves. Totally awesome. They also gave me a Pickwick English tea bag with it, which I didn't bother to put in, as I didn't want any caffeine so late at night. We left after only one drink, as we were tired and the place was too smokey to hang out for long.
