I'm not happy with Boelcke. I Getting to the age I could not replace my water heater . If I was, I could have done it for 800 bucks , and I took the recommendation from it. My daughter . $2000 dollars later, and the first water heater they installed did not work, so we got left for over 36 hours with no hot water . After a 3rd tech, he finally got the new water heater to fire up . This is a simple gas water heater I EVEN CALLED the manager about being left this long without hot water . It was like talking to a brick wall . Will do business elsewhere in the future. read more

Boelcke sends out Facebook ads advising us to call them to do preventative maintenance on our air conditioners before the cooling season begins. So, as a member of their Maintenance Agreement family and as a 20 year customer, I called on April 16 to schedule my preseason service. They were booked until July 28. So much for preventative maintenance and so much for customer loyalty.uu read more

This is the second time we've used Boelcke plumbing, and once again are very happy. After the first visit, we signed up for their maintenance program, which waves the service fee for them to come out, an automatic savings. Both plumbers were excellent each time, answered all of my questions respectfully , showed up on time, and fixed the problem each time. Finding someone reliable in the Saint Joe area is always difficult, so we are very happy we found Boelcke. I would highly recommend them as they are reliable and will show up when needed. Overall, pricing is competitive for professional services. read more

They do NOT stand behind their work. Spent over $20K to have tankless water heater and 4 minisplit heat pump and AC's installed less than two years ago. When wireless connectivity to heater stopped was told by Fujitsu that the equipment put in by Boelcke was old and no longer serviced and to go back to my installer. Boelcke responded with a $98 service charge request before they would address the non-functioning equipment they installed and I'd paid for. read more

Boelcke was quick to return our evening call and get someone out to our house to address a frozen pipe. They were able to locate and thaw the pipe and installed heat tape to prevent recurrence. Their team was knowledgeable, friendly, and did a thorough cleanup after the repair was made. Price for weekend labor and material installation was very reasonable. read more

Boelcke just installed a new furnace and air conditioning in our house! The installers were great! It took about a day and half to install the furnace and air conditioner. The estimate was very reasonable and they recommended financing with a local credit union. Couldn't get any easier! Go Boelcke! read more

Requested service. Scheduled for mutually agreeable date. Technician polite, knowledgeable. Explained needed repair and quote for service. Repair completed. Cleaned up after repair. I have a maintenance agreement. Good service and accountability is worth the price. read more

Boelcke saved the day for me on Thursday when I had a severely backed up sink/garbage disposal within hours of my extended family arriving from across the country. Within two hours of my call, two extremely competent plumbers diagnosed the problem -- which required a visit back to their shop for a bigger snake -- and quickly solved the issue -- all before the guests arrived. Highly recommend Boelcke! read more

$250 just to show up to see what the issue is whether it's something they deal with or not. There are so many places that will come out for $80 or less so don't give Boelcke a call for Anything!!! read more

We were very pleased with our service from Boelke. We originally had them out to see if we could add plumbing for a new utility sink in our laundry room. While Jeremy was here my husband also asked him about replacing our cast iron kitchen sink. Other plumbing companies said that it couldn't be done without removing our countertops so we'd basically decided not to bother with the hassle. However after giving it a lot of thought, he said he thought they could do it. Sarge and Brice came out a few weeks later and did both jobs in a day. The removal of the heavy cast iron sink was no joke but they got the new one in perfectly. Sarge went over and above making sure that the install was perfect and to my liking. We would call them out again without hesitation. :) read more

I discovered two pinhole leaks in a 3/4" exposed pipe in my utility room in my basement that were spraying a fine mist over everything. I called Boelke to see if they could send someone out. Their phone message states since it is a Saturday no one was available to take my call unless I was a "Premium" customer!? It went on to say if I was nat a Premium customer, please call back on Monday during their normal working hours. I called back on Monday and spoke to someone who said they could have technicians come to my house late that afternoon, but there is a $98 "Service Fee" just to come out. Two technicians showed up after 4:00 PM and 15 minutes later they left. Since the pipe was readily accessible it only took two cuts of the existing pipe, the installation of a 24" pipe and 2 compression fittings and they were on their way. In addition to the $98.00 service fee, I was charged $370.00 for the repair. I shopped around for copper pipe and fittings and estimated them to be $50.00. That leaves $320.00 for labor! Two technicians for 15 minutes equals 30 minutes which equates to $640 per hour. I didn't realize I was being charged for lawyers. The technicians did a good job but the price-gouging I got is completely unacceptable and unethical. After reading some of the other comments I will never use or recommend Boelnke Heating and Plumbing again. read more

Professional with good communication except for the prices. I had to pay $220 for a service call just to tell me I needed a new furnace. $220 for 15 minutes is outrageous. And then you need another appointment for a furnace quote. I had to pass on the install. I really felt like they took advantage of me even after I paid $500+ for some plumbing work weeks prior. read more

We had a person quickly come to our house to discuss with us the work we needed done. The tech said they could do the work and would email the quote. 6 days passed and no quote. I emailed them asking for the quote and they emailed it back. After considering it, I emailed it back to them with an additional picture from the Water Department, to help them when they came out. In my email, I generously said they could pick any day, any time, and I'd be available. 45 days have passed. They blew me off. The quote is no longer valid. I guess their "quote sending" department won't talk to their scheduling department, or they just don't need the work. We won't be using them again for plumbing or our furnace work ever again. read more

We had a leak on the shower faucet. I called on Monday and scheduled for Thursday. Fair enough. I was told if an earlier appointment was available, they would call. Wow, the leak was fixed by 4pm on the Monday I called. I'm sure I got lucky with an early visit, but this shows how much Boelcke cares about customers and putting the customers needs first. read more

We are so pleased! We bought a 1950s built house and had them come out to service the air conditioning. Even though the equipment at the house is old, they cleaned it up and feel we still can get several years out of it. Nick, the serviceman, was professional and pleasant and explained everything he was going to do. We are very happy with the service and signed up for yearly service of our heating and A/C. read more

Furnace stopped working and Matt K was here within the hour. He replaced a motor and we were warm again in minutes. Super professional service, very friendly, did a thorough job checking out everything and offering suggestions to improve efficiency and comfort. When it comes to home repairs, when it rains, it pours...am I right? So I am especially grateful to Don at Boelcke for keeping calm and seeing me through my week of home-repair hell. The work was done promptly, the technicians knowledgeable and courteous and the pricing seemed fair. Thanks! read more

3rd of July, 2012 and we were expecting 40-50 people for an evening 4th of July party. Great expect for the fact that our Air Conditioing was not cooling our house very effectivley and it was hot. My wife called early in the morning and they said they would get someone to service the unit, but it would probably be later in the day. The guy did call three times saying he would be there, just kept getting later and later in the day. He showed up at about 5:50PM. Poor guy told us it was his birthday and he had one more stop after our house. He added some more coolant to our system, and after about 45 minutes was gone and the unit was cooling the house better. Thanks for the service on a very hot day, and the three phone calls reminding us that you still were going to see us. read more

I've used this company twice and they have been diligent in working me into their schedule and doing high quality work.

Do not call Boelke for service or new equipment. They charge insanely exorbitant prices. As an example, I needed the blower motor on our furnace replaced and I thought I would have them do the job. I could not believe it when their serviceman quoted me $900 for a motor I could purchase for $100 myself! A business is entitled to a fair profit, but this was obscene. I paid the $100 service call charge and sent the Boelke guy on his way. And yes, I went out and purchased a new motor and installed it myself. Lesson learned - there are some local contractors who will gouge you on price of you don't know better. Boelke is one. read more

We asked to have our furnace that is in our rental checked cleaned before winter. Guy came out and told us that the pilot light wouldnt stay lit and he couldnt get a replacement and we would need a new furnace which would cost us $2500 and would we like a salesperson to come out. Charged us $89 Called another guy ( Tim Jones) who came out and cleaned the furnace which we wanted in the first place and cleaned the pilot light started it up and after he was done and it looked shinny and new it cost us 160.00. Plus a 40 tip for saving us from Boelcke salesman. Never again. They told us they couldnt get the part to fix it but thats from their distributer. Come to find out the part is replaceable but we didnt need the new part anyway. It just needed to be cleaned. Makes me sad businesses still want to rip people off. read more

Hi I first called this company to have them move a gas line for me on the outside of my house it just needed to be positioned in a different location. They did a great job on moving the gas line however when they moved the gas line they disconnected my furnace from the electrical And that was the beginning of my problems. As the technician got ready to leave my house he said to me I'm not sure what happened but you're getting a polarity code on your furnace I don't think it'll cause an issue but if you have a problem just call the office. So about a month later when I got cold I noticed that my furnace will not kick on when it went below the temperature that I had that set on my thermostat. so I went downstairs and I looked out my furnace and there is an LED light that flash the polarity code. So I called the company and and I explain to them that I'm getting this polarity code can somebody come and take a look at it I also reminded them that the technician said there was an issue when he reconnected the electrical to my furnace. when the technician came out to look at my furnace they realize that they had also moved my air conditioner which is another thing that I hired them to do and he said there's no way that moving an air conditioner can cause a polarity code on your furnace you need a new controller. They sent me a bill for $200 for that technician and then quoted me $750 to replace the controller. I then called the company and said I am not gonna pay the $200 because there was nothing wrong with my furnace you disconnected the electrical To move the gas line and I was told moving your air conditioner had nothing to do with the controller. I slowly and calmly said correct but when you move the gas line you disconnected my furnace from the electrical and now I have a clarity issue if you're not an electrician you should know that polarity means that the electricity is not flowing in the right direction. So then after some convincing they agreed to send a technician out to look at my furnace. That technician who was a senior technician stated that there is probably an issue with the electrical he's gonna look at the wiring and make sure everything is wired properly. They then sent me another bill for $100 stating that the technician ran ground wire to resolve my polarity issue. Well today I came home and noticed that my house was freezing and I went downstairs and looked at the furnace and noticed that I've got a polarity code so the ground wire didn't fix the polarity code and they stated I need a new controller. I was speaking to the office secretary and I said I don't need a technician to come to my house I'd I'm going to have another company fix my furnace. I just want you to know that your technician disconnected the electrical on the furnace and now I have electrical issues. she said well let me have our service manager call you. I said that's not necessary I'm just going to hire another company to fix it. She insisted. The service manager calls me and states that there's nothing that his company or his technicians did that broke my furnace and I said you don't find it odd that I had an electrical issue after your technician disconnected the electrical service to my furnace and now you want to send another technician and charge me $750 to replace a controller that you're not even sure if that's what the issue is. then like a lawyer he just kept repeating there is nothing that my technicians did that would cause your furnace to break I said well thank you for your time but to be honest with you I'm not even sure why you called I stated to your secretary that I'm gonna have another company come and fix it properly and I don't have an issue paying for another controller if the controller is broken. Actually at this point I don't have any other choice I need a furnace to work in the winter. in all honesty there were so many attempts for them to take care of the situation but because there was so many communication issues among the staff I think the kid that moved my gas line honestly made a mistake maybe he broke the controller maybe hook the wires up backwards but it could've been resolved in A more professional manner. When somebody hires you for a service they don't mind paying for the service so long as the service actually fixes the problem it's several points in this interaction with this company they never resolved my problem but they continue to send me invoices and continue to tell me that I needed to spend more money to get something fixed that was never ever fixed. I would just do business with someone else. read more

My husband and I bought an older home and decided to upgrade the mechanics before they started dying on us. Boelcke replaced two old hot water heaters with a more efficient tankless heater. They also replaced the furnace and AC unit. We added a whole house humidifier for those dry winters, dehumidifier for those sticky summers, and a whole house generator to keep us up and running. This was all done while we were still living in San Diego. Don was great managing the project from start to finish and the crew kept us apprised of their progress since we weren't there in person. Fast forward about six months, we have finally moved into the house and they sent a technician out to explain how everything works, how to change filters, etc. He was so friendly and patient with all my questions. He also explained their annual service program which we will definitely sign up for. And they didn't even give me a hard time for being late to my own appointment. I couldn't recommend Boelcke more! Check them out! read more

After a recent AC install, I needed to get a final invoice and AHRI certification number to get a $300 utility rebate. Boelcke ignored my repeated requests for this information (both by email and by response to their own customer survey). Because of Boelcke's failure to provide this basic information, I missed the deadline for getting the rebate. read more

The negative aspects of my experience one time with this company outweigh the positive. Pros: - Answers calls promptly - Clear dispatching and phone communication to schedule/be flexible with calls and arrivals. My experience: - Had a 4 week wait time to have someone come out and look at my boiler after I called in early October, well before peak inspection season. Previous owners had serviced the 50+ y.o. boiler with this company which is why I initially wanted to work with them. - Once a serviceman came to my house, he tested and rendered unusable various mechanisms in my boiler, and did not tell me that I would be without heat after he worked on it. Repairs were deemed necessary at $900. - Tried to quote a replacement, was told that a separate salesperson would need to come and give the quote. Called to schedule that, was told I would need to first wait a week to have it quoted and then, should I decide to replace, it would be mid-December AT LEAST before I would have a new machine to heat my home. I called another company, had someone at my house within 2 hours, and 4 days later I will have a new boiler at my home. The kicker is I still need to pay a $89 service charge to Boelcke just for showing up. Be sure to confirm what exactly you will be paying BEFORE they come to the house, and get timelines for everything up front. read more

Our family has experienced two major systems failures this holiday, and Boelcke has truly saved the day. They made us a priority as our basement was on the verge of flooding as a result of a water heater springing a significant leak. A technician was out to stop the flooding within 30 minutes, and got us scheduled for a replacement. Then our AC died on the 4th, and they got somewhat out ASAP to get us up and running again. Every technician that has crossed our threshold has been professional, courteous, and competent. It's been an expensive weekend, but I have only wonderful things to say about Boelcke. read more

They never showed up for our service cleaning, called them up and asked where they were at why they missed the appointment, and they said they lost our address and phone number! So they said they would send someone out by the afternoon. Well guess what? No show again! Called them up again and the woman that answered the phone was Very very rude!! I had taken off work a half day then missed the rest of the day and had to call another company. Didn't have to miss any work cause the other guy works with your schedule!! read more

I would highly recommend Boelcke Heating. Dan, Andrew and Ray were here on the first day...on time, they were quiet, neat and very polite. The next day Dan and Jim came back to finish the job.
