A family member utilized the Hold for Pickup service without my knowledge. I went to the office…read moretoday after being notified that the item had been delivered and because I had availability to pick it up. When I arrived, the gentleman working informed me that this office does not accept packages mailed to them. I explained that I understood, and that the package was created through Click-N-Ship, which is eligible for Hold for Pickup, and that I had not requested this service myself. Despite this, he repeatedly spoke over me and even made a gesture to quiet me while I was simply trying to clarify that I do not typically have items shipped to the office and that I was only there because I was told the package was ready for pickup. After the third time he interrupted me, I told him I did not have time to argue over something so minor. At that point, he tossed the package in my direction. The conversation was factual and could have been handled much more professionally. I understand the staff may deal with difficult situations daily, but this situation escalated unnecessarily because he was not actively listening. I am reaching out because I do not appreciate the way I was spoken to today, and I felt the interaction was disrespectful and inappropriate.

They let students touch everything: the truck, fire hose, lights, mask, helmet, boots, air tank, pike pole. We went through the fire truck and students were respected as preschoolers, who are inquisitive and learn through their bodies. David and Annie talked to our students like real people, not drill sergeants, making them stand in a line, be quiet or keep their hands behind their backs. The first question Fire Fighter David had was, "How old are your students?" He and Annie also answered questions by looking at the student who asked it. They showed us the dining room, desks, locker room and where all of the uniforms are kept. When Annie put on her uniform, they talked about how "cool" it was instead of talking about how scary it is. They seem to really understand small kids and what they will understand. We'll go back next year!

There was no one ahead of us in line so we were served quickly and efficiently. There is even a UPS store a couple of doors down that does passport photos. In all, this was one of the easiest passport renewal experiences we have had to date.

I thought that the next best thing would be to have the postcards stamped in Seattle, Washington. I searched my Yelp app for the closest post office and this one in Georgetown popped up. There were many free parking spaces right next to the building. Inside, there was a long line of customers! I guess it's because there are only ten more days until Christmas?!?!? When you renew minors passport in which they already had one, you do not need to see their birth certificates, that portion can be verified by the State Dept. at adjudication. I advised her I was okay with receiving a letter from the State Dept., she just needed to process my two minor applications and she refused to. I didn't want to argue with her, I made an appointment for the next week. We pulled our kids out of school hours early to make the appointment. Hours before our appointment, I received a call from their office canceling our passport appointment due to short staffing. I let them know how disappointing this was because we pulled our kids out of school early and had all the necessary documents and that it was a huge inconvenience. I will never step foot in this office for anything. Terrible service and incompetent staff.
