I visited this store 4 weeks ago. They were out of stock in a particular treat I wanted as a gift. (Well they weren't totally out of stock, they had 1 piece) The attendant took my cell number & said she'd call when back in stock. I asked if she had any idea. She said "I don't know as the owner orders whenever she's in the store". ??? Today is 4 weeks later and I've had no contact. Not only was this a gift, it was an order for a pound of chocolate at ~ $35/lb. Don't count on getting a special treat for someone unless they have it in stock. Because the other "half" of this business is about gems & rocks are positioned upon entering & is the main focus of retail sales. I believe the Boehm's chocolate is just a secondary thought & focus. Disappointing since the previous owners retired. Their tradition has disappeared. So sad.... ;( read more

When I was young, if we were good during one of mom and dad's interminable "Sunday drives", dad would navigate to Boehm's - by as a circuitous route as possible to avoid tipping us off. I grew up on this stuff. Granted - I have moved out of the area, but Boehm's has a unique place in my psyche. Though the chocolate here is good, there are management problems. I went to the store today. I young guy was standing out front about 11:00 & told me the owner had gone to the bank, would be right back. 10 min. later - still closed. Nearly a half hour later - still closed. They're hours are 10:00 to 6:00. Apparently, they don't take their hours seriously. I typically spend about $60 to $70 here every year. Not anymore. read more

I was excited to see this place and certainly there are a lot of fun products here.... but presentation could do with a bit of a boost. When I entered the store, I felt like I was stepping back in time to the 1990's. There are lots of gifts/toys/trinkets and I felt like I had to search to find actual chocolate. My goal was to get something to take wine-tasting so that I could pair a bar of solid chocolate with wine.... this was easier said than done. Most of the selection was decorative/fancy chocolate with different flavors and that just wasn't what I was going for that day. On the other hand, when I did find a lonely bar of dark chocolate it tasted fine and paired well with wine. Worth a visit.... maybe.... read more

Greta little place. The owner and staff are all friendly. They have rocks, candy, chocolates, jewelry, jewelry making equipment and all kinds of hand made arts and crafts. If you haven't stopped by and checked them out I highly recommend. Spent about a hr just looking around and having conversation. Love this place. read more

I used to work upstairs, and the chocolate gummy bears are a great way to escape from a dreary work day. The service is great. The lady working (wish I would have caught her name) provides great conversation, and treats you like the special snowflake you truly are. She'll give you lots of product opinions and brighten your day. Beyond the normal chocolates in the case, they offer cute little chocolates in the shapes of footballs, baseballs, basketballs, hearts etc. I highly recommend the hearts, yum! I was also lucky enough to obtain a sweet gator Beanie Baby for $5, a steal! read more

I stopped in to ask directions. It was only polite to buy something. I purchased a two piece gift box and was anxious to have a special treat. Upon opening the box, I noticed the light chocolate was a little gray. But, I took a bite. Yuck. It was old and hard. I set it aside. Then I took a bite of the other dark chocolate. It was better but not up to Boehm's standards. (As I was in my vehicle traveling, I now have a misplaced, half eaten piece of chocolate in a warm car.) The following day I called the owner simply to inform her the quality of her product was not up to par and she needed to check her little boxes. While I was on the phone with her, she checked the boxes, informed me she saw no problem and asked me if I ate the chocolate. I told her, "yes, I did. But it was not up to Boehm's standards." I told her in the beginning of the conversation, I was not complaining or asking for special consideration. However, she denied my poor experience, treated me horribly on the phone and was sullenly rude. I will never grace the doors of this shop again. They are far below Boehm's high standards. The chocolate is okay, their chocolate covered gummy bears are good but nothing special. The lady who works there is so un inviting and cold it makes me never want to go there. After this last time there I won't be back. I don't have time for rude people. read more

She has now moved to the store to the Chalet Mall (56th Avenue & Summitview) which is a great location for her west Yakima customers.
