I came here a few weeks ago on the weekend for their U-pick berries. At the time, only normal raspberry was available for picking. We had a great time picking some of them ourselves. It was super sunny and hot, but we had a great time. The raspberries weren't super sweet in my opinion, but they were fresh and lasted days after. They also have a little store that sells berries products like different berry jams, pies, ice cream, fresh berries, honey, and lemonades. Everyone was very friendly and super welcoming. It's a nice spot for a weekend activity with the family. They also have a stand at the local farmers market on the weekend. I tried their huckleberry cinnamon roll and the raspberry hand pie (forgot pictures), and those were both too sweet for me. However, the traditional cherry pie that I got was perfect. It was super yummy! I definitely would go back to do some more U-pick, especially for the gold raspberries, and for the traditional pies that they offer. read more

The huckleberry scones are delicious! The berries adding both sweetness and moisture to the buttery scones. First time having huckleberries in a baked good and I'm now a fan. Ahtanum Bakery is adjacent to their berry patch in Yakima. Because of the climate, they harvest strawberries, blueberries, huckleberries and Marion berries right through the fall. They have a a u-pick field or you can buy the berries already picked. Every year they participate in the Hood River Valley Harvest festival in October. People remember them and line up for the massive cinnamon rolls, hand pies, scones, pies, decorated sugar cookies and other delectables. Oh, and fresh berries! Prices are a bit high, but the quality is definitely there. These are not mass produced, but made in small batches with fresh ingredients and love. read more

I first tried one of there amazing fruit pies at the Packwood Flea Market and knew next time I was in Yakima I would visit the establishment. Glad I did it's a great place with their own berry patches to make there fresh pies. They also have a great little bakery with coffees as well as shakes and other stuff. Outdoor and indoor seating and they do events as well. The young woman at the counter was very friendly. I just can rave enough about how good the homemade little pies are. We had seen products from this place for some time at local merchants and farmers markets, but had never been to the actual store front. This is a spot that people need to check out! It's located out off of74th just off of tandem. It's a cool little barn/bakery that is attached to a house and also located adjacent to the berry patches. They sell all sorts of sweets including some really legit cinnamon rolls (we got three types for Christmas), tons of cookies, So do it yourself cooking kits, local honey and all sorts of other good stuff. During the summertime at farmers markets they sell some of the best hand pies we've ever had and I'm sure they have some here during berry season! The folks working here are super nice and the prices on things are very reasonable. This is the perfect spot to find pastries and sweets that were literally made 20 feet from where you purchased them and the berries picked about 100 feet from it! I bought a freshly made apple pie to share with my family. What a cute shop! They have a little of everything, and a lot of love is put into everything they bake. I would love to go back and pick some berries with my granddaughter. The owner was very helpful and kind, and I would highly recommend their baked goods. Very over-rated. I think people are taken in by their cute setup/shop. But their prices are astronomical. Especially when it is in Yakima where a ton of produce is grown. They also charge $65 for a cheesecake! I bought a slice thinking it must have been incredible and it was average at best. We are repeat customers for their huckleberry cinnamon rolls, 100% delightful! Their rolls are a fantastic way to still enjoy huckleberries without paying the exorbitant cost per pound. They are sweet while not being too sweet and the huckleberry taste shines through! We also enjoyed our frosted shortbread cookies, again just the right amount of sweetness. Will continue to return for them both, however the true star of this visit was the molasses cookies! Absolute heaven in flavor and texture! Are sold on them being a top seller! The best cinnamon rolls my wife and I have ever had. You'd think they were going to be real heavy and too bready but they are perfect and the frosting is so delicious.
