My insurance covers me attending yoga through a program and this is my choice of studios. I've been doing yoga for over 15 years and this studio has all of the things I look for in a place to practice. The first class is free and they offer both hot, warm, and room temperature yoga. I've tried all of the above types of classes with a lot of different instructors. My favorite is Teresa because of her style, she lets you play in class practicing arm balances at a variety of levels. Her yin yoga class is to die for, I feel that my week is set once I've attending this longer well guided class. I have also attended workshops here and enjoyed each one I have gone to. They do have showers which is a huge plus! Towels, yoga mats, weights, straps, blocks, are all in the room and easy to access. Visit the studio and if you've never gone, I recommend a room-temp or yin class .

Stretch and sweat (or glisten) and more, through a 50 minutes class with a wonderful group of peeps. Great welcoming energy there too! Love the Instructors too! They are so encouraging despite my inability to do it all the first class. Plenty of reps I couldn't quite complete, but I'll work on that. Be sure to have socks on since there are no bare feet or shoes in the studio. Bring water to hydrate and you can have it close to you in class. They also have water fountains available too. They provide small lockers (adequate for shoes, sunglasses, phone, and small purse or wallet) and you can bring your own lock if you want. The bands, weights, mats, and balls are all provided and used during the class. They even have a bit of merchandise for sale too, so you can strut your Barre fandom. ;-) I'll be back for sure each time I come visit in Albuquerque. I highly recommend!

I went to the 6am class and upon walking in the door, the male teacher greeted me with a 'sorry our heat is broken.' Not 'hi' or 'welcome' but a warning of what was to come. Bikram yoga without heat is like ice skating in August. The studio was clean and I imagine that if everything were in proper working condition then it would be a great studio but I would advise that the teachers at the front desk work on a better way of greeting their students.

Yoga vibrations has been open for a year already and they're hitting their stride…read more Stephanie, the owner, was my instructor for the Sacred Flow class I took at 5:15 on a Tuesday afternoon. It was a hot yoga class (though more like warm yoga), which i think is their jam, but it was slow, low impact, and meditative. Stephanie introduced some fun postures that I don't see as often and I wasn't totally warn out afterwards. They seem to have a variety of intensity levels, and at least two evening classes during the week. The studio is spacious, airy, with high ceilings and the requisite wall of mirrors and laminate floors. There's plenty of space to accommodate easily 20 students or more. My class only had two students, which was awesome! Nothing worse than having to squeeze in to a sweaty spot! The music was well curated, not too hippie-dippy-Yogi, with a great energetic flow for the hour. The temperature was just warm enough to bring me to a good sweat midway through the class, and not so overbearing as to be stifling when I opened the door to the studio, or suffocating during the work. All in all, it was a really great experience, that I found a killer deal for on Groupon (Hashtag protips!): $31 for an unlimited month. But even without the Groupon i think it's only $85 for an unlimited month, and that's a screaming deal for yoga in Albuquerque! Stephanie's studio is so charming and relaxing, the attention to detail (plants, artwork, statuary, a fountain to stifle ambient noise) is really well thought out to bring maximum serenity feels. And Stephanie herself is as lovely as a business owner gets. I definitely recommend Yoga Vibrations to all of you Nob Hill Yogis. It's in a fabulous location, and offers a really perfect after-work wind-down.

The "Yoga Hour" classes are exactly that: just an hour long. They are mixed level and only $6 to attend (cash only). The class I took was at 7:30am and while it wasn't the most challenging of classes, it was a great way to start my day. It was missing music... I'm not sure if Bhava plays music in the other classes or not. Also, to note: appears that in a couple of weeks, this class will be taught by Joe and not Michael. The studio itself is clean, colorful, and inviting. They also have plenty of mats for those that don't bring their own, and props as well. The schedule of classes has some variety with yoga hour classes throughout, as well as some intermediate, fundamentals, and workshops too. I'd definitely return on a future visit to Albuquerque to practice at Bhava.
