They are true to yoga practice and I feel like you don't only get the physical practice of yoga but also the mental engagement and some history and background. I am super interested in more than just the physicality of yoga but also the philosophy of it as a whole. Instructors often use the sanskrit words for poses in class (not only, but throw it in there more than I see at a lot of studios), they help guide you into deeper practice within poses and give you options. I love the studio. I feel like it isn't all about the modern view of hot yoga and feel a lot of yoga classes I go to these days are just about the workout or getting a wild cardio burn and have lost the meaning of yoga practice. There is definitely a time and place for all of that, but I love that that isn't the goal at this studio. After that you can buy discounted punch cards. The studio is small, and the class was full. I agree with other reviewers, it got HOT! Hot and pregnancy don't mix well. Almost an hour into the class I was starting to feel nauseous and was going to leave, but one of my fellow students also spoke up and the teacher turned on the cooling system. Whew! (Next class I'm going to ask for the cooler sooner!) There are several teachers and I haven't had a class from everyone and once had a sub teaching. I was kind of disconcerted that there wasn't any music playing, the room was very quiet. The instruction was good, and lots of props were used for support. The teacher also made a huge effort to learn our names, check in with us often, and offer more props/supports if needed. We also went around during the class to introduce ourselves, tell what week we are in, and what we are struggling with which helped the instructor to give personalized advice. After the class several of the ladies chatted and shared information which made the class feel like a community. I was happy to meet other first time moms! I will be back throughout my pregnancy!

I don't think anyone else in town offers such an inviting deal. I really look forward to strengthening my practice again, and seeing this studio grow. I'm not sure if Bhava plays music in the other classes or not. Also, to note: appears that in a couple of weeks, this class will be taught by Joe and not Michael. Not I overdone but warm and cozy with wood ceilings and real vigas, recessed lighting, earthtone plaster walls and subtle, integrally colored polished concrete floor. As an architect by training atmosphere is important to me. I come here on a regular basis.
