I woke up and did 6am BURN at SWEAT for my first time with Dominic and I just love how he brought his motivational energy and dropped the best beats to get our class pumping. My lower back warmed up nicely with his bridge preps and the bootie and calf raises, raised the burn higher... by the time we side plank flipped and swam ... arms, spine, abs were feeling the fire ... then as we squatted and burpee flowed the flames grew strong through our legs! I discovered SWEAT yoga two years ago when I asked a yoga teacher friend where *she* goes to yoga and she said "hands down, SWEAT yoga". I'm very glad I listened because I am HOOKED on hot yoga and this studio has such a fantastic group of teachers and community. The hot room is fantastic. The bathrooms have nice showers and any little commodities that I might have forgotten (hair ties, dry shampoo, within shower amenities). I sincerely love practicing here. read more

I am back! What a nice change this has been. I decided to get back into Yoga as I am getting ready to be an "empty nester". I wanted to get back into hot yoga and decided to go with SWEAT. This place has all the essentials and the studio is very clean. Always greeted with a smile and the classes I have attended so far are great! I have been deepening my yoga practice for the last eight+ years at SWEAT. I fell in love with their glorious humid hot room, their stellar instructors, and i have been a faithful student since. As a health and fitness professional (coach, personal trainer, group exercise instructor) I also chose their studio to obtain my 200 hr ytt to further my yoga journey. I learned so much in their training and have been able to incorporate meaningful movement and mindfulness in my social work practice. After several surgeries and also two pregnancies, hot yoga has been vital to my physical and mental health. I recently went to try a free trial with their yoga studio and I thought it was ok. The facility was nice and the staffing was nice but I can tell half way through hot yoga wasn't for me. The studio where we performed yoga was filled with mirrors on both ends but I wished that the set up of the room was more descriptive just as the staff informed me it would be. She stated there was markings on the floor for placement of the mat and when I got in there it was barely visible and everyone kinda just placed themselves where they wanted; some closer some father than others. I would've also liked if the instructor was more involved. She spurt out what to do without fully checking on anyone outside of the front row. Again, hot yoga isn't for me but others may enjoy it and may enjoy this place better than I did. read more

If you want to release tension, become more mobile, learn self control (mental and physical) through breath, there is a class for you. So glad I tried this studio out - highly recommend! I was in town visiting and decided to try this studio out (over a few others in the area) because they offer child care and allowed you to book online, prior to my trip. The studio is well maintained, mats, towels and shower facilities are provided to all students for all classes. The instructors were genuine, guiding students through a challenging practice but allow any breaks or rests. The class sizes are very large 50-60 compared to studios I've frequented in my experience 10-20 but the studio does not feel cramped nor do the restrooms or spaces outside the yoga room. Child care does require an additional account to log in and reserve and there is a fee required, but the owner was accommodating to as it wasn't clear to me how to set that up. Also, the students I met at the studio were all friendly and helpful. I know that's not under control of the studio, but I think it speaks to the type of relationships they have with their students. If I lived in town this would be my new studio, highly recommend read more

II'm from Colorado and have practiced yoga for over 10 years at Core Power. I was looking for a hot yoga studio in Albuquerque and found the Sweat Yoga Studio. I purchased a 5 class pack since I was in town for the week. The Studio is large and very clean. The heat / humidity is well circulated throughout the studio which eliminates any hot/cold spots. Even with the high ceilings I was amazed! I very much appreciate they have laid out the mat placement for the students. This provides everyone with an opportunity be positioned in site of the mirrors. I also like that the mirrors are on 3 sides of the room. The teachers are excellent. I've very much enjoyed practicing at this studio while visiting this area. I highly recommend. read more

If you've read any of my previous reviews you know that fitness has truly been a journey for me over the years. SWEAT has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me, not just for my fitness journey, but for my spiritual and emotional journey as well. We all go through events in our lives where we're not sure how to cope with our lives and events genuinely change the way we move through the world. It can be difficult to find a moment in time to quiet the anxiety, to quiet your brain, and to feel a moment of peace during these demanding life moments. That's where SWEAT came in for me. I had dabbled in hot yoga, and gone to SWEAT for some classes here and there, but when things got really tough SWEAT offered me a place to find my inner peace. Doing something physically demanding does not seem like the best option when you are emotionally and physically exhausted, but weirdly I found myself craving the meditation and movement of the classes. I craved the partnership that is created by a room of hot, sweaty, gross people dealing with the exact sensations of discomfort in a room together. I craved the wonderful guided classes by the teachers that motivate and push us to just keep going. SWEAT is a place to find your inner peace, to work through your own trials and tribulations, to enjoy the connection you have with your body, and honestly to get a kick ass workout. This was a perfect home away from home while Hot Yoga Downtown was closed due to the pandemic. I have been at HYDT since high school and have never been able to find a comparable studio until SWEAT. I've tried studios all around town but none of them had the consistency of good classes, great instructors, and a solid workout like HYDT, but SWEAT does. Though I will be returning to HYDT now that they are reopening I have been so grateful to SWEAT for getting me back on track after the lockdown and keeping me active and satisfied. This is a more traditional studio with no phones or talking within the hot room which I personally love. Some studios can be overly peppy in the hot room, which is fine if that's what you're into but if you're like me and like the space to get into your breath and body you will appreciate SWEAT. But feel free to chat and have fun outside in the main areas as everyone is so nice and welcoming! Instructors I highly recommend are Shannon, Allison, Nathan, and Lindsay. Allison always gives a killer workout, somedays I wouldn't make it through but it was always invigorating and what I needed since I'm trying to get back into it. Shannon, Nathan, and Lindsay have great flows that are always new and creative with a good amount of challenge, giving you a good workout. They also have great playlists which is big for me personally (otherwise I get in my head) and I know it's the same way for many others. Thank you SWEAT for a solid few months! If you can motivate me to exercise every single day you are pretty much a winner at life. I have a tendency to run late to places...It is like I don't own a watch or a phone for that matter. The first time I arrive 5 minutes before class and thankfully the instructors were super friendly took my name gave me a quick for and in I was. I've been going for almost a month straight and I love it. The facility is super clean, they have everything available for people ties towels and mats. I absolutely love this yoga studio! I have learned more in the last few weeks at this studio than I have in the last year and a half at my previous studio. I appreciate the instructors taking their time explain the pose, how to get into the pose and how to advance. I feel more connected with my practice than ever. The studio is WOW! My only complaint about this place is that there isn't one where I live (in Oakland). I am an ABQ native and decided to try this spot out when I was in town and am SO glad I did! The studio is super nice, spacious and clean! And to add to the appeal, you are provided mats, yoga towels, hand towels all for free! And not just some crappy stuff left behind in lost-and-found, the yoga mat I used there was nicer than the one I have at home. I took 3 classes when I was back home, 2 with Carrie and another with Melanie. I just had a baby 4 months ago and am still trying to get back into my yoga-groove and both these ladies led a terrific class that provided enough modifications for my post-baby body as well as the challenge I needed to feel like my old self again! I can't wait to come back home to visit and back to Sweat yoga! read more

They provide free yoga mats and towels for class, have a great boutique, and offer lovely amenities as well (showers, shampoo/conditioner, etc). I started Yoga Teacher Training here without ever being to the studio. They have training during the day and I can work it around my regular schedule with ease! I am a big fan of Monica since I have worked with her before and I love her teaching style but all of the instructors I have had the pleasure of practicing under have been phenomenal! Jessica helped me into a foreword bend when I have not been able to touch the floor in years all because she made you think of the posture in a totally different way! Pull knee caps up and engage quads which relaxes the hamstring into a proper stretch!!! I am so grateful that this training and practice space was made available to me! The owners are super supportive and genuine people! I love how they just accepted me in late to training and go out of their way to help me catch up! read more

I have been a member of SWEAT yoga for several years now, I used to jump around from yoga studio to yoga studio but after some pretty bad experiences with horrible smells, instructors who were there to show off what they could do rather than focusing on providing modifications and carrying my Matt everywhere. I found SWEAT, at the time there were different owners, but after my first class, I knew this www going to be my yoga home. Since Maria and David have taken over the place has gone from what I thought was a 5-star facility to something worth a million stars! They have transformed the place with things I never knew I needed like fresh pressed juices or Friday's nights Flow to the beat. Overall, if you are in the area and you want a 5-star experience, try this place out. Everyone who teaches here treats you like a friend, the facility is always clean and you never have to bring anything with you. They literally have EVERYTHING you need. Lastly, the instructors are one of a kind and you can feel the warmth they put off once you walk in, they care about you and always offer a yoga practice that can be challenging if you want it but also judgment free. read more

What a great experience for my first time at hot yoga. I was greeted by staff when I first walked in. They made the whole checking in experience easy and smooth. The facilities here are very nice. They have everything you need in the bathrooms including hair ties in case you forgot one. I tried the static 60 class and my instructor was very attentive, she pointed out how I could improve my poses during the class. No question about it, this is by far the best yoga studio in Albuquerque and the best yoga studio I've ever been to in the country! Instructors are top notch! Well educated, friendly, safe, and creative in their approaches to each class. The classes truly cater to the beginner as well as the seasoned yogi and they provide a safe and effective yoga practice for all. The studio is extremely clean and everything is top of the line including the mats and towels they provide (that's right you just show up and they have everything you need) all the way to the nice toiletries provided in the locker rooms. Class times are convenient and they offer a wonderful small well managed daycare. My kids love going and I feel very safe and able to relax while in class. Where else can you get a great work out, relaxation and mediation time, and a shower all while knowing your kids are safe and happy in the same building? This is by far the nicest yoga studio I've ever been to, the teacher who taught the 60 minute flow class did an excellent job and the owner of the studio was equally as friendly. SWEAT is an incredible yoga studio. It is clean, inviting, and you never need to worry about theft or people accessing your things during class. I have come to SWEAT since it opened, and truly appreciate the variety of classes and amazing teachers they have. The floors are rubber and are very clean - no carpet or other material that absorbs the moisture. They work hard to create a welcoming environment, and I love taking classes from them. read more

This yoga studio is wonderful!! Instructors are terrific- really helpful and they all know their stuff (ok I have only taken classes from 5 of them!). The lobby area has great clothes, drinks, snacks and place to sit and chat. They have childcare (not sure how often), locker rooms are clean, well-stocked with NICE products, they provide water, mats and towels...The studio is spacious and the floor is rubber like which can get clean- no odors! Absolutely love this place! From the moment I walked in it smelled so good and it was clean I knew this was the place for me! The staff is very helpful. They have everything you need from towels to super clean mats. All was explained in the intro class . I took that twice and have moved on to the beginner level classes. The shower are clean and stocked with what you need. Just a great clean experience. Bravo to the owners! I hope another location opens closer to the i40 and Tramway someday! read more
