Interesting that the "not recommended reviews" met much the same experience I did for the most part. I had thought Yelp was 100% impartial. I shall reserve judgment to see if my review is put in the not recommended section or if it is left to stand as written as all of my prior reviews both good and bad have stuck fine since I joined. If I could award less than zero stars I would. It would be based on my perception of the integrity, customer service, patient care, and overall experience at the location since late Jan. 2015. I had been a patient of this business for around a year and a half when in January 2015 there was an upheaval of staff and none of the patients were told anything other than rumors what had happened. Not only was that a grave disservice to existing patients but also to those involved with the practice prior to this time. As of the writing of this review on May 11, 2015 there has still been no professional contact saying what has happened to the practice. The new management has turned what was a medical office into IMO a fat shaming practice aimed at making a lot of $ and not addressing medical issues in my own case. I went to an appointment with what I thought was a continuation of my treatment but the physician and nurse practitioner had neither reviewed prior treatments nor had a clue about anything other than referring to test results from over a year prior and started pushing me to get new blood tests done there right in the office right then. They did not offer to have them done by a trained phlebotomist, nor at the professional lab (Quest) the prior doctor had sent me to which concerned me as well. Even though I have had to fill out and sign HIPPA medical forms in the past there, that was with the other doctor and this has a much less professional doctors office feel to it. While this may have been ok, the new staff just kept pushing and harassing me to change to the HCG treatment right then. The Doctor & Nurse Practitioner both pushed it a lot until I told them I wished them to stop because I had never heard of it. Plus I admit that I am stubborn and when so many push something I had never heard of I wanted to go research it first. I researched the prior concept that HAD been used by BSS prior to this for over a year before my first appointment. If the new staff had reviewed my chart, they would have known that I was not there for that reason but rather medical ones, so strike 1. Apparently the FDA has had issues with HCG and one of the other top Google returns for HCG was the Mayo Clinic. I think I will not partake of that treatment based on the Mayo's entry so Google it yourself and check it all out. When I researched the Doctor they had see me, I came across things I felt were a concern but the office manager Cheryl, (and I have to specify here because I had another woman from that office call and tell me SHE was the office manager so I do not know who to believe) Cheryl told me on more than one occasion how much of a part of the company she owned, said they knew all about the NEW Doc that I saw in April 2015 and that raised some personal red flags if the business owners know about him and still were letting him see me. Until she told me that I was thinking maybe there was a case of mistaken identity but with her confirmation, that put me over the edge of uncomfortable. So strike 2 When I tried to get copies of my prescriptions from BSS, the other office manager started speaking in a loud angry tone saying that the handwritten chart was all that MO Law requires them to provide (great way to treat an existing customer that has already paid thousands of dollars for treatment and convince them their decision to leave was a good choice too BTW). I just wanted copies of what they faxed to the pharmacy and she got very angry that I wanted them stating that they were proprietary. I do not know if this is true but normal people usually seem to have problems that I do in reading doctors handwriting so I did not feel a legible copy of the scrips was out of line in asking for. STRIKE 3, I am outta there. Bottom line. Though at one time I strongly recommended this business to friends and family, with the major changes in staff, attitude, professionalism, and direction this business is now going, I no longer do so. It is an ultra expensive version similar to the national chain weight loss companies with the added benefit of being able to be fat shamed in person and have actual medical issues ignored while having some members of the staff be as rude and as bad of customer service normally offered by one of the cable TV companies :^). I wish I would have recorded my call to BSS. If you have thousands of dollars and wish to waste them IMO, then by all means it is your own money. Now I get to try and locate the prior Doctor who had my health issues figured out and I felt safe and confident that his treatment and care was in the best interest of me and my family. read more

My experience with Body Solutions has been nothing but great. From the friendly and caring staff to my health and weight goals being met ... I have nothing but POSITIVE things to say! I had tried to lose weight for years and had no success until I tried Body Solutions PXR Meal replacement shakes and their supplements. I am proud to say I look amazing and have lost 30 lbs with their shakes!! NO exercise... Just their PXR meal replacement shakes paired with a healthy meal plan. I lost the weight in a couple months too-- the fast results are what kept me going. I am now back to my high school weight! (I thought I would never see that number again!) I have energy for the first time in years. In addition to my meal plan, I also decided get my labs done and become a patient and we discovered I had a hormonal imbalance. My hormones being "off" caused me to have terrible sleeping patterns-- which caused lack of energy. Lack of energy therefore caused mood swings, low libido, and contributed to my weight gain. The shakes and hormone replacement therapy saved me... I sleep great, feel great ---and I look great-- which is the cherry on top! The good thing about Body Solutions is you have the option to become a patient and get lab work done or you are free to come in and just get started on the shakes and supplements without becoming an actual patient. I had such success with just being a "customer" that I wanted to find out more about what was actually going on in my body and became a "patient." I feel the labs had answers as to why I gained weight and lacked energy in the first place and we got to the root of the problem. I was a patient of Dr. Imboden's in 2014-2015. This was the worst healthcare decision I have ever made. I was given a test of Body Mass Index which showed an imbalance between water weight and muscle mass. One month into the treatment, I began having severe leg and foot pains. I called daily to complain about this. Both Dr. Imboden and the 'nursing staff" told me that this would pass as my muscle verses water weight balanced out. I continued in spite of severe pain and beginning numbness in my feet. Dr. Imboden paid no heed to my complaints, simply ignoring me. I finally stopped when my feet turned totally numb. My left hand was also going numb. I stopped all of the treatment abruptly. I later found out that stopping those meds, without tapering off, can cause a stroke. I WAS NOT TOLD THIS IN THE BEGINNING OF 'TREATMENT." I would never recommend him to prospective patients. read more

I have read both the "recommended" and the "not recommended" reviews on Yelp about Body Solutions organization in Chesterfield, and I agree with all of them. I have been a long term patient of Dr. Russell Imboden who used to practice medicine in Warrenton, Missouri 20 years ago. When he left that area and eventually opened his practice/ Body Solutions firm about five years ago in Chesterfield, MO, I was able to "track him down" and again have him as a physician. I was extremely pleased with the medical services provided by Dr. Imboden and also tried some of the weight loss and health products offered by the company. I so much wanted to continue with Dr. Imboden , that I was willing to pay an additional exorbitant amount to be a VIP member and to be assured that I would get priority scheduling with my physician rather than with a nurse practitioner or other physician. I have been a 'happy camper" for 2013 and 2014, although in looking back, I am not sure that I had any priority scheduling during the two times I made a special request. In addition to the priority scheduling, I was to receive other discounted services, some of which I see I DID receive, and some which I did NOT receive. Like the other reviewers who posted on Yelp indicated, I ,too, was extremely frustrated when I found out through my prescription vendor that Dr. Imboden was no longer available to approve prescriptions. I immediately canceled my follow-up visits at Body Solutions and asked for my VIP annual fee back which had grown to $1000 in the year 2015 and which I had paid the day before Dr. Imboden was dismissed. The company indicated that I would receive my money minus any other benefits I had received. Despite my verbal and email follow up, the company now refuses to return any of the money saying that it was more like a gym membership rather than a physician concierge service fee. I believe that the 'recommended " reviewer has very eloquently reviewed the business, much better than I . I am very frustrated with the business and it's recent practices which to me has quickly devolved into a money making scam with no concern for it's previously loyal patients or "gym members". read more

Body Solutions Systems, LLC tag line is: The Body Solution System was designed to create optimal health for patients. I was a patient there and the Dr. (Russell Imboden) was outstanding and very caring and concerned about his patients. I went there based on referrals I had received and left my current MD at the time. Here is the problem with BSS. They are ran by investors and apparently there was a falling out between them and the Dr. The Dr. was shut out with no warning on January 23rd. As of this review, March 13th, I was never notified via email, phone or any other method that my Dr. was no longer there. All and I mean all the patients were left without being able to get their scripts filled or medical advise because BSS put themselves and their ego's first. Recently they brought in a new Dr. nearly 45 days later and now I am forced to go in and spend another 100 just to keep my scripts coming. Needless to say, I do not know anything about this Dr. who is only there 3x per week while still working her own practice. Keep in mind that BSS doesn't take insurance so all of us are forced to output more monies. Even if you had refills, the pharmacy was told not to fill them. I have NEVER seen a practice ran where the patients come last over the egos of the current staff and investors. I was there because of the Dr.'s skillset and have now departed BSS. No way I want to be affiliated with a practice where the patients come last. If you want to spend 700 for your first visit and 150 as a follow up an be rated last in the office then this is your place. If you want good medical care then I suggest passing right on by and taking this review seriously. What I have stated is fact and I have experienced it first hand. I have heard that Dr. Imboden has resurfaced and I plan to follow him as long as he practices medicine. Good luck everyone. read more
