They were honest with me as to what the results would look like if I did it a week ahead of time, even if it meant losing the business. They acknowledged my request and said it wouldn't be a problem -- but I still got charged on the renewal date. That was frustrating, but I figured it could be resolved with a refund. The owner responded and said they'd issue one, but after that... nothing. It's been over a month with no follow-up or action, despite multiple attempts to follow up. I still haven't received my refund to this very moment.

The male at the front desk was utterly rude and aggressive, and I overheard him encourages other guests in the waiting room to talk shit about me. While I made a few mistakes myself, he was screaming at me telling me he will not get in trouble because he's related to the manager and that they will pull the camera footage to prove I was in the wrong. As I was trying to leave, the male yelled for me and handed me a postit with the manager's number. When i told him it wasn't worth my time, he told me to "please get the fuck out." When I said they lost a client (this was my favorite spot, I have been here many times and given them a lot of business), he said thank god and good riddance. I just don't think anyone should be treated this was - he was such a gaslighter i won't be surprised if this gets an owner reply continuing to make me feel like I was in the wrong and to try and defend yelling at a woman. Edit: 30 min later The male employee was right! That dude is NOT getting in trouble because he is related to the manager! I received a few missed calls from the salon, and finally answered. Marina (manager) called me (i did not reach out or ever intend to contact them beyond leaving this yelp review, clearly he reached out to her to get ahead of his behavior). All the pool areas were crowded at 10am, so we couldn't even get in. The saunas were unusable because so many people were looking for a place to go that the doors kept opening every 15 seconds, preventing them from heating up properly. The quiet area with chairs was so crowded that people were using them like lounge chairs on a cruise ship, with one person holding a chair for six people's belongings. It just felt like a complete waste of money to pay for spa access. They are not trying to create a luxury spa experience, just 100% a cash grab. I booked a couples massage for my wife and me, and considering the $500+ price, I expected a luxury experience. We showed up 15 min early, as typically spas at this price point will offer tea, a relaxing environment, and go over where you'd like to focus your treatment before you begin. When we arrived, they told us to come back in 10 minutes, because we were too early. Then, when we arrived 5 minutes before our service, they still said they weren't ready for us to come back; it was a terrible start. I've had over a hundred massages over the past 10+ years, and at the 200$+ price point, this one was in the bottom 5 I've experienced. Just mediocre at best. To top it off, at the end, the masseuse hard-sold the oils/lotions they use, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I get a better massage at Bergen Spa in Brooklyn for $55, and given there was no high-end experience here, it's the same. I wouldn't come back even if they charged half of what they do. Horrible all around.
