I have to be completely honest. I went into this experience terrified because of videos I had seen…read moreonline and trauma I had experienced as a child with my dad cracking my joints during horseplay. I came in as a walk-in, he was very patient and reassuring with me, and I swear to you I walked out a different person. I came in with all over back pain, my pelvis was uneven making my ankles hurt when I walked, and I was getting up to 2 headaches A DAY which he told me was actually caused by my neck pain. Now leaving, I'm walking even with no pain in my ankles, my posture sitting and writing this at my desk no longer looks like a shrimp, and by god MY NECK. My head doesn't even feel like it's attached to my shoulders with how nonexistent my neck pain is. I can't testify to what other chiropractors feel like, but I can say he fixed all of my pain in ONE VISIT. And all of that for $45. PLEASE go to this man before it's too late! (Copied from my google review to give this man all the recognition he deserves, I promise I'm not a bot!)

From the very beginning of our session, the space she held for me to be able to open up about some difficult life experiences I've been going through was so palpable. The entire session - from connecting through talking and setting intentions in the beginning with a relaxing foot soak and rub in an authentic copper bowl - to the time on the healing table/bed with powerful sound bath and energy healings - to the afterward, discussing with Donna HER journey of working with my energies and what she found there - it was deeply, deeply healing for me in ways I couldn't imagine. Will 100% be back to Donna, and can't recommend her Healistic Therapies services enough!!!!

Owned by local professionals, Julia and Vance, they have endeavored to take their hobby to the next level with this studio. The studio is small but adequate for classes, with a small area for kids to hang out while parents roll. A class for girls 6-12 is beginning soon. All levels of skill are welcome and all train together. The web site provides the specifics about when and what is offered. One of my family members said he loves the mats because they absorb falls and flips. He said they are the best he has been on, and he has been a member at several studios in Hampton Roads. The vibe is one of an intimate space to get to work. No frills and distractions. When you walk in, the mats are right there. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming but students and instructors are working hard! Jiu jitsu attracts students of all ages and sizes, abilities and motivations. Some seek the physical training aspects of the sport, others self defense ability and others to take their skill to the next level. This new studio seems to be all of those things! Growing and integrating a new business into the martial arts community, this studio is a welcome addition.
