He is genuinely nice, approachable, and helpful. His employees are also really friendly. My family and I feel welcomed and safe every time we walk through the door. Gym has a lot of weight machines, free weights, and workout equipment. For Cardio he offers tons of classes along with the normal gym staples: bikes, treadmills, elliptical, rowing machines, other necessities. This gym has showers that are actually in the building, and they provide mini towels and cleaning spray for members to use to wipe things down and help keep the place sanitary. Awesome place, so stoked that they opened!!!

Either unaware or blissfully ignorant of the fact that a true gym is a place to train; not a library, yet he demands it be treated as such. Rules are found on labels throughout the gym amongst equipment that no longer works. Owners inability to maintain patron equipment is mirrored by his inability to grasp any concepts of fitness/health/wellbeing in the first place. Pieces of equipment are neither maintained nor repaired even with the amount of money he collects on a monthly basis. His "credentials" have been earned through regurgitation of information he doesn't embody nor exemplify himself and causes one to wonder. "Is this really a gym that I want to train at ?" More so befitting an exclusive 'club' (drama, gossip and low-vibrational energy abound) rather than an environment conducive or supportive to personal growth is stunning to say the least. The owner "Brian's" power trips are a reflection of his own insecurity of anything going against the grain. The irony of having a gym owner who cares less about each of his members than your typical corporate owned branch chain is agonizing. Train where you are valued for your potential and your effort towards growth; not ostracized by those whom perceive ambition as a threat. C'est la vie.

I'm about to change that. Place is immaculate and equipment is absolutely top notch. Free weights are all Hammer Strength including 2 squat racks and a couple of smith machines. Urethane dumbbells from 5-125 pounds. Deadlift platforms. Long strip of turf that runs the length of the place. Torque m4 sled. About 15-20 Hoist machines as well as 5 or so Hammer strength machines. About 30 or so cardio machines including a pair of Assault rowers, assault bikes, and assault runners. Ellipticals and treadmills and some recumbent bikes and a pair of cable setups and kettlebells.....and a couple of stair machines. Whoever set this place up definitely knew what they were doing. As a former Waikoloa resident many years ago i usually have a fairly low expectation on something like this. I was pleasantly surprised when going here. They sell day and week and month passes for those of us visiting. Staff has been nothing but helpful and friendly. I would've listed more pics but I'm honestly not sure what this places policy is on taking pics these days. I posted this one where I could be absolutely sure no one was in it.

I'm sure I won't die her words justice, so I won't even try to quote her. The gist of what she said was that fitness isn't just working out; it is our thoughts, sleep, food choices, goals, creativity, etc. Her actual workouts were tailored for the lifestyle, fitness level, age, and goals for each of our family members. I live far away so I only had her "in person" during the month I was in Hawaii, so she recorded a video of our workout together so I would have her with me at home too! Plus it helped me remember our routine. I love you PK, Rae too. You are gold and you are a secret weapon for happiness! Thank you for doing what you are meant to do.

After I had received a Reiki I training of USUI Reiki in 1997, I had used my abilities for a friend suffering pain from an extreme neuropathy. This hands on USUI Reiki I ability offered great pain relief, and helped alleviate his use of traditional pain meds. Recently, I decided to seek an initiation (atunement) to regain my Reiki abilities and found nearby, the reiki practitioner, Joan Maute. The description for her workshop was that she teaches both, the Usui and Holy Fire Reiki Level I and Level II and beyond. For clarity, the USUI Reiki and the HolyFire Reiki are similar, yet different in the application of a very important step; the final student initiation or (atunement). This is described as a transfer of energy from the facilitator (USUI Method) or direct from the source (HolyFire.) Whereas, Usui is a traditional origins in Japan; a hands on treatment administered by a grand master of lineage descent, the Holy Fire atunement is directed via a meditation with no hands on from the teacher. It was a surprise to know that through meditation, a master level can "download" positive or negative energy forward to participants. If you have an experience of the traditional USUI Reiki Level I (a Eastern Approach) and expectation for a more hands on approach to Reiki; Holy Fire Reiki (a Western Approach) may not support your goals. I wish Joan great things with her ongoing effort to teach Reiki as a devout Holy Fire (Trademarked) practitioner.
