I've been going to Mood Up Wellness for about 2+ years and my experiences have mostly been great…read morebecause it's all about finding the right therapist that truly fits your needs. Since I work out quite a bit, my muscles are often sore, whether it's my legs, IT Band, back, neck or biceps and/or triceps. Even though I could tell so many therapists where I needed massaging, I found the much needed care from Cindy. She is thorough in her approach. My IT band had been the reason for possibly sciatica and other back issues. After a few sessions with Cindy, I see her regularly every two weeks and it's paid off. She spends a good 7-10 minutes (I think?) on my IT band for each leg. She's great about sensing when to put more or less pressure on tight muscles or knots depending on whether I tense up or show reaction.. I've had many sports massages from other hotel and "brand name" businesses in the bay area at half or double the price. Mood Up Wellness is reasonably priced especially for package deals. Cindy truly gives one of the best full body deep tissue massages that I've ever had.

We purchased the "90-Minute Couples Combo Massage (body + foot) with sea salt soak, sea salt bag,…read morehot towel, and hot stone for two" for $234. We did not receive the sea salt soak or the sea salt bag--two major parts of what we paid for. From the start, there was zero hospitality. No one introduced themselves, asked for our names, or explained what to expect during the service. The door to our room was left partially open during the massage, which was extremely uncomfortable and showed a total disregard for privacy. I requested medium pressure, but my massage was so rough that I was sore the next day. At the end, they aggressively pushed for a tip--so much so that they asked if I "understood how tipping works." When I didn't tip more, the massage therapist walked out and slammed the door, which was unprofessional and disrespectful. For $234, this experience was nowhere near worth the price. No courtesy, no communication, services not performed as advertised, and pressure for tipping that bordered on harassment. Save your money and your time. Run from this place and read the other reviews on Yelp and Google--you'll see a pattern.

my go-to massage spa. always a rewarding treat to have after a few weeks working :))…read more so far, it is the cheapest in price compared to other spas (about $60 for 1hr, in others it's at least $80 to $90). always falling asleep when i get my massage here. i want to stay awake so i can feel the massage but it's also just too good so i tend to fall asleep during the session. had my facial gua sha in my last visit along with the 1hr massage and my face felt lifted, sculpted, and soft somehow after. i see in their menu board that rhey have a weekday promo for $125 massage + facial package, i wanna try that next time! shoutout to Cindy, i think u guys should request for her. she's a nice massage therapist and my lower back pain went away when she massaged me in my last visit.

I've been a loyal customer for years and have always appreciated the quality of service, which…read moremakes this experience even more disappointing. I left a message around 4:38 PM today, requesting a 7:00 PM massage appointment with a specific therapist. I received a callback at 4:41 PM confirming both the appointment and therapist availability. However, at 6:30 PM, I received another call saying they had "just received" my message and asking if I still wanted to book. When I explained that the appointment had already been confirmed earlier, I was then told that the therapist had been booked for another client about 10 minutes prior and asked if I wanted to move my massage to 8:00 PM instead. My answer was no. Situations like this are the easiest way to lose long-time customers. Confirming an appointment and then failing to honor it less than an hour before scheduled time reflects poor customer service and poor coordination. While I have enjoyed coming here over the years, there are many other places offering the same service with far better professionalism and reliability.
