Although…read moreit was mentally and at times physically challenging, it was truly a blessing to participate in. The hosts were very kind, and the guests were inclusive. The accommodations were very comfortable. I had everything I needed. You have to be mentally prepared to commit, and open minded or you will not fully appreciate the experience in my opinion. It's not for everyone. There was a great deal of sitting, group participation, and patience required. The agenda is pretty full and subject to change, so not a lot of downtime, but that is what you came for. The food was delicious and all vegetarian. There is no alcohol and no alcohol allowed on premises; not a complaint just a disclosure. Whether you are new to the practice or consider yourself an expert, I think you will gain something from this place. If you're ready to go inside and you are not afraid of what you might find, I highly recommend Setu Vermont.

He's really gently encouraging, kind, and yet the class is challenging physically. His explanations are straightforward and pacing is just right. I tend to be someone who either wants to exercise (boot camp, body pump, boxing) or meditate (sit on a cushion), but this class actually combined the two well. I did not realize that was possible. I also like that the class was a full two hours. I also felt that I learned a lot, despite having done yoga fairly regularly for over a year now. I feel so grateful for this experience. Practical information: The studio itself is simple, no-nonsense, and decorated nicely. I really appreciated that. The costs are reasonable and schedule accommodating. There's parking nearby, as well as a lot to do. Their logo has a cat... quirky! I like :)

It's a little Bernie utopia (LOL) - locally owned shops, united community, and beautiful nature surrounding. We practiced at Bhava Yoga off Main Street. 2 hr vinyasa class with the sort of instructor (Peter) I wish I had for every yoga class I ever took/take: HANDS ON, non judgmental, nurturing, and encouraging...he was just so profound. I could only imagine how much I could accomplish in mind, body, and soul if I had a teacher like him to practice with full time. Feeling truly uplifted and inspired!!!

A class with Jenny worked for my schedule. She had a class planned out, and I appreciated her forethought. But as an instructor- meh. She gave minimal corrections of alignment and position. Minimal. Nor did she offer any hands on corrections, so far as I could tell. But I kept my regular yoga instructor's corrections in mind, and felt better for having made time for the class while out of town. I'd go back. And try a different instructor.
