Update: I'm DONE with this place, was not aware Sean gave me a discount on my membership because he felt bad for me (reason for him feeling bad for what exactly was unclear) And I was running my mouth and saying that he was charging me extra due to our past and personal bias and he once again for the second time got up in my face and started getting aggressive, if you're considering picking a gym go to COMMON GROUND FITNESS! I just moved into the area and when looking for a gym I came across King's Gym this place is heaven. Have modern and older equipment and all of it is wonderful. Everything is well taken care of and they have a back section that is all plate loaded machines and iron dumbbells are just amazing. This is definitely a quieter spot and personally I love that, must try if you are at any other gym. read more

I recently switched to Kings Gym from Planet Fitness, and the difference is night and day. At Kings, there is a competitive, motivating energy that isn't found at PF. When I step into Kings Gym, I put my best foot forward so I can have the best workout possible. There is no shortage of variety with the machines and equipment found here, almost none of which is found at PF. The different areas are all clean, well maintained, and each have their own purpose. My favorite area is the free weight section, there are so many different and unique stations to give you exactly what you're looking for. Members at Kings are kind and uplifting, making it a great place to come if you're experienced or a new lifter. I highly recommend Kings Gym! read more

SCAM! Recently noticed money taken out of my bank account by King's gym haven't had a membership there in several years so I called them and they explained they updated their system and it just started taking money out of everybody's account when I stated well are you going to refund me they said no because how do we know you haven't been coming I said you have a door scanner... Classic Gym done right! Awesome for a casual or serious workout. Clean and well equipped.

I've belonged to almost every gym in this town (not Body Shoppe) and I like King's best. Unpretentious. it's a GYM gym. weights. cardio. no-frills, budget friendly. Go. work out. Leave. NO classes, but TVs for ALL cardio equipment (unlike the Y which has an economic hierarchy for equipment- plebes don't get TV). and tanning? Don't you know that should be illegal because it gives you cancer??? I'm not kidding. read more

Kings Gym is a great place to work out - if that's what you want to do. There are no kids running around and it doesn't cater to self absorbed women who are used to complaining about every little thing, like tanning bed bulb wattage. A definite plus and may be why membership has "blown up" and I would expect that any business at "peak times" would be more crowded than usual. read more

Good afternoon. Kings Gym takes $25 out of my bank account every month for a membership - which is fine. But what is not fine is upon trying to submit my application, i clearly read at the bottom of the page Kings Gym does not discriminate agains race sex origin or any of that matter. However, Kings Gym has explicitly stated they will not hire someone who identified as a Male. They have said to their own customers faces, "Men are lazy, and can't get anything done" I find this statement extremely offensive. No business has the right to deny someone's application because of the way they identify themselves. I'm currently attending college with a 3.54GPA in a business major. Id say I'm the opposite of lazy. It hurts me to have to write this about my own gym but it's the gods honest truth. Sean King, and Robin King of Greenfield Massachusetts are the MOST unprofessional, disrespectful, rude, and unpleasant business owners in all of New England. It's hard for me to recommend this place because of the owners. The machines are amazing but the owners not anywhere close. read more

The new place at 330 Chapman St. in Greenfield is GREAT! Lots of cardio machines, A larger free weight section and a large section with workout machines similar to Nautilus machines. Plenty of free parking. They are still working on the place but it's open and very clean. Staff is great and very pleasant. The price is great and if you want a place to workout without the frills of classes, which get very old, this is the place to go! Other places come and go and Kings is still here. The only other place that stays is WAY over priced. read more

This gym is an oasis in this rural desert, a perfect getaway from my day to day grind. It's a large building tucked away a bit, so parking is easy and free. The gym is already quite large, but they're still currently renovating and expanding it, even though I think it's already great. I'm a serious lifter, and this place knocks the socks off any planet fitness. If you're looking to gain size and strength, this gym is THE BEST in the area. Lots of other stuff here as well, for folks with different fitness considerations. They have two power racks, the most important thing in my opinion. Plenty of other equipment as well, free weights that go up to 130lb per dumbbell, and weight machines and cardio machines. They're adding in battle ropes and expanding the functional training room. The locker rooms are super high quality and there's even a shower, a weight scale, etc. There's a water fountain in the free weights area, maybe there's more I've only been there for one workout so far. The water fountain is one of the super good ones and the water taste perfect. The staff was pretty cheery and very informative, easy to talk to, professional as well. They sell smoothies and a wide array of workout drinks, bananas, audio jack headphone for like seven bucks, the lobby is nice and spacious, the air all through the gym is fresh and cool, and I'm super excited to watch the gym grow. It's already awesome, but I'm happy to know they're constantly updating it. read more

I've been a long running member here (roughly 9 years), and it's a gym with everything you need. If you're into circuit training, the machines are all there. Into cardio? They've just added more equipment into their existing line up. Into free weights or power lifting? Head downstairs for everything from single benches to power racks and alternative bars, chains, etc. Whatever your goal, they have the equipment, and everyone is treated equally by both staff and members. Just cancelled my membership. At $25 per month I wasn't expecting much. It is a bare bones facility with machines, free weights. It offers no classes. It is crowed during peak times. Membership has blown up since the Leading Edge closed and now it is over crowed. With an influx of cardio machines salvaged at public auction from the other gym closing, you now have the experience of having other people sweat on you when you work out. The cardio machines are one on top of the other. The owners have been providing poor customer service. Robin is self absorbed and can't be bothered to get off the phone long enough to even greet customers. Sean has been rude and disrespectful to multiple long term members from the stress of this increase of business. I was a customer and asked a question "when will the water cooler be fixed" be told "it will be fixed when it is fixed." It is your business Kings how you speak to your members and while I realize I am but one $300 per year client I am taking my business elsewhere. Expect others might too. Be advised the "contract" requires a 10 day written notice to cancel the EFT so I will finish out my contract and be taking my business elsewhere in April. read more
