Our Uber back to the hotel wasn't filling so the owner offered to drive us on his way home but thankfully we managed to eventually get a taxi. Great place, worth a visit for sure.

Lobster bisque - small and I didn't see or taste any actual lobster. There were plenty of diced tomatoes and a sliver of green onion in this. The taste was ok though. Duck breast - this was an okay dish. My avid hunting colleague asked me what type duck is it, so I had to look up what type ducks Maple Leaf Farms typically utilizes. Turns out it's the White Pekin ducks, due to their mild un-gamey flavor. They are supposed to be tender but a few if my slices were a bit chewy. Either way, it was a decent dish, but Im not a huge fan of risotto and would probably order something different next time. I was also tempted to order a dessert, because I was in the mood and was curious what a cashew cobbler was. It turns out that it's a lot of ice cream and just a bit of mashed up nuts. It was interesting to say the least. My colleague said his meal was ok, but he was having stomach issues after the first bite, due to something he ate earlier in the day so he ended up not eating another bite and had to throw the rest away, unfortunately. He did say the pork chop was a bit dry anyway.

When the lasagna came, I initially thought wow that's a lot of cheese, but it really was not an overwhelming amount. And the taste of the sauce as well as the meat in the lasagna was fantastic. I don't know what I expected, quite possibly the same generic type of lasagna you get at most places, but this was far from it. Very different than many other lasagnas and tasted as if a family member made it with an old secret family recipe. The restaurant is very clean and classy. My server was very polite and attentive, but not overwhelming. I didn't get any bread, which was a bit of a disappointment, not because I need bread in the least, but I do enjoy trying different breads at different restaurants. However, that takes away nothing from the dining experience for me. I won't even remove a star for it. This is five star all the way.
