I'm going to try and not make this review a comparison between the two. The location isn't the easiest to get to, but parking is ample. It's also connected to a family fun center and a bowling alley. Right across the lot is the city's minor-minor-minor (I don't know the official term) baseball league home. It's all next to an ice rink that is used for sports and recreation. It's a great family-friendly area of Sioux City. Food is the same as the SSC location which is wonderful. They have the BEST burgers in town. I also LOVE their fries. The only thing not making these restaurants my favorites is the ranch dressing. They just use generic, bottled ranch. It's not good. I'd kill if they made actual 'restaurant' ranch. I've literally brought in my own ramekin of ranch when I'm craving a meal I usually eat with it. BUT, the brown gravy and queso are to die for. It would be a part of my last meal. Staff is great. This area has a smaller bar than the SSC area, but the bartenders whip up everything the same. I don't drink, but they're down for their margaritas. This place is kinda like a locally-owned Chilis, but with better food. A great place for even a couple drinks and some poutine.

This is on the bottom floor of a modern residential building just on the outside of downtown and once inside I thought it was a fairly large sized restaurant for this particular city. The menu consists of many dishes which I typically order, just not sure I would order them in Iowa, that's the only thing. We were sat right away, but when we were led closer to our booth, the hostess held us up while she checked on a nearby computer to make sure the table was in the right area I'm guessing. It was and she motioned us to go toward the one open booth in the center of the restaurant in an area behind the chilled wine cabinets. The interior seems to be a combination of mcm and modern, but I liked it. I ended up choosing the duck breast dish and a cup of lobster bisque. Lobster bisque - small and I didn't see or taste any actual lobster. There were plenty of diced tomatoes and a sliver of green onion in this. The taste was ok though. Duck breast - this was an okay dish. My avid hunting colleague asked me what type duck is it, so I had to look up what type ducks Maple Leaf Farms typically utilizes. Turns out it's the White Pekin ducks, due to their mild un-gamey flavor. They are supposed to be tender but a few if my slices were a bit chewy. Either way, it was a decent dish, but Im not a huge fan of risotto and would probably order something different next time. I was also tempted to order a dessert, because I was in the mood and was curious what a cashew cobbler was. It turns out that it's a lot of ice cream and just a bit of mashed up nuts. It was interesting to say the least. My colleague said his meal was ok, but he was having stomach issues after the first bite, due to something he ate earlier in the day so he ended up not eating another bite and had to throw the rest away, unfortunately.
