I LOVE coming to this bar in the summer on a Sunday afternoon. They have an amazing layout in the back. The inside is cool because the building is literally an old firehouse, but it's SO loud in there and super dark. I personally prefer more of a dive bar. This place always has food and popcorn free. Prices are fine. I just can not stand going here on a weekend night. The place gets PACKED, and I mean packed. It's it's full of 21 year-old 'college kids' and the loud 'I'm here to get wasted!!!!!' crowd. And the bathroom situation sucks. That's why it gets 4/5 stars. Does have games and pool tables and darts and the whatnot. Careful tho! The popcorn is spicy and it'll make you want to drink more. read more

Its my favorite bar! Firehouse is great if you want plenty of space, a friendly staff, and a large outdoor area. I like to go in the afternoons in the summer and Sunday nights. Happy hour they have large draft beers for cheap! I used to love firehouse until there was a woman there who had clearly been over served and felt like taking her top off multiple times. None of the security guys or the owner were concerned. After watching this woman take her shirt off and let people rub their faces in her boobs I once again expressed my concern for how much this woman had consumed with no reaction from any of the security guards. Moral of the story: Firehouse is where they will let you get over served, make a fool of yourself in public, be the trashiest bar in Siouxland, and not give one shit about your personal safety. read more

Since my reviews seem to interest so many people and they take time out of there life to bother themselves over them (even though they have nothing to do with them ) I've decided to once again set the facts straight about this bar apparently so many feel is the ultimate bar around here. Fact : The owner didn't like a simple review i did over his bar (like everyone else did ) and instead of just kicking me out like a responsible adult and owner proceeded to cross the street (when i hadn't even attended the bar that night) and inform me if i wrote another review he was going to break my legs ( and not in those exact words by the way) instead of talking things over with me when i was in the bar like you would expect a adult to do. I've never said two words to the owner since i had been going and had given him no reason in the world to threaten me with physical violence anyone that knows me knows I'm a honest person and knows about the owner of The Firehouse so you have nothing there people. Next a employee of the Firehouse ( who i had also never said a word to in the past and never even met) took it upon himself to again attack this review ( that no one else cared about by the way and hasn't affected there business one bit) and continue to belittle me until i had to deal with him personally and his employee with him holding his hand. And about the attacking pregnant woman i mistaked her for someone else and have since said nothing to her. There have been another bar that kicked me out and managed to do it in a adult fashion and shockingly not get so upset over a review. If these reviews affect the bars so much and the small minded men and women who wish to defend them they should eliminate there review page all together or only mention that you can say what they would like to hear. They have gotten plenty of bad reviews since and had shootings so trying to defend a place like that is a lost cause. Now if anyone has any farther problems with my reviews might i suggest you tell me about them in person instead of lying behind a review page only proving to people how small you are. I was in town this weekend for a wedding and after the reception was over the wedding party made their way over to the Firehouse. By the time we got there it was a little after midnight and the place was shoulder to shoulder packed, which I suppose I can understand since it was a Saturday night. Some of the clientele in the place were less than savory however. There were quite a few dirtbags and gangsta wannabees in the house. The bride had a few times where strangers would go up and grind on her right in front of the groom. Pretty classless but by looking at some of the people there I wouldn't have put it past them. Drinks were cheap though and the live band that night invited the wedding party up on stage and they whipped through a badass rendition of Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues. For the situation it was a cool place to go but if I lived in Sioux City I'm not sure I would frequent the place. read more

This place was exactly what my wife and I were looking for in a football gameday atmosphere. Friendly staff, free brats and burgers, free nachos, great drink prices, handed out prizes to customers. The owner even bought us shots. An awesome time all around. Will definitely be our go to place next time we are in town. read more

i have been to the firehouse a few times and every time i go i have a great time!...wether it be out side or in!....only one time did i get mad when i had to go outside to use my phone cuz i couldnt hear and they would not let me back in! that frustrated me! all my friends were inside! and i understnd the fire codes w/people and all but yet there were lots of people coming out!...o well no big deal! i got over it! and i will continue to tell people how fun ot is and to go! and hopefully we will make it there tonight!...yeah! read more
