Classes are good, but the cancelation window of 3 hours is not desirable. I think as long as you cancel in a reasonable way that other students can take your spot, that makes sense. If I can cancel half an hour before class, someone can still use that. So up to half hour cancelation window without any late fee would be great. I have had last minute cancelations due to family/work reasons, I think that's common. read more

I have been taking classes at Bode Flatiron for about a month now. I started off with their new student 21 day special. It was an incredible deal at $49 for unlimited classes. I was hooked! I've taken both 90 minute Hot Yoga and the 50 minute Hot HIIT classes because they fit my work schedule. I am truly impressed by both classes and find the teachers to be welcoming and thorough in their descriptions of the various poses or exercises. I purchased a class pack after my 21 days were up in order to continue and found the prices fair and competitive. 105 degrees is a challenging temperature to get used to, but after a couple classes I was used to it and never once was made to feel bad about taking a breather or stepping out of the room for a moment. The heat really takes the effort you put in to the next level. I leave class feeling lighter and stronger. I will continue to return! read more

I just wanna say your employee Kevin is very nice and professional. He is easy to talk to and was very welcoming to the 23rd st studio. I've been to many yoga studios and I definitely think front desk people also make the ambiance of the studio good/bad. Kevin definitely made it good! Also, your yoga teacher Maja was also very nice. She was very warm and welcoming and easy to ask questions. I really appreciate that because I've had a couple of yoga teachers at different studios in the past who were just really mean and gave off negative vibes. Yoga is about good energy! read more

I love this studio! The desk staff are always so helpful, the space is an oasis of peace, I love the diversity in the crowds that come and the instructors I've studied with are all phenomenal. I adore Paul and Olivia's classes - they are genuine and honest and excellent instructors. Hot Vinyasa is one of the most healing practices I've ever found, and love being able to take it in such a healing space. I was intimidated by Bikram but have fallen in love with the 60 and 75 classes (I haven't the stamina to handle the heat of 90 minute classes yet.) I'm a dancer and teaching artist so my body takes a beating so whenever I have pain or inflammation I know Bikram and hot Vinyasa is the best medication! Balances my mind body and spirit. Clean two level walk up on 5th with one studio space on each level. Awesome deal $49 for 21 days includes mat, mat towel, bath towel and wash cloth. Classes with Omri and Paul are great. They keep you focused and in the present throughout the class reminding you how to maintain alignment. This studio does not push you and encourages you to practice within your boundaries. read more

I won a free unlimited month long pass here from the Flatrion 23rd st Partnership prize wheel. I haven't done hot yoga ever and haven't done regular yoga since 2001. This place is not inexpensive but absolutely FANTASTIC. I brought my own yoga matt and towels and it was not looked down on. I found all the instructors and employees there extremely friendly and welcoming. The Bode NYC app is very easy to use and there are many classes daily you will always be able to find a class to match your own schedule. (Several evening classes available every weekday was very convenient for me). The classes itself were very good. You can take the Bikram yoga class even if you are a beginner and do a simple pose during the difficult poses. You can even sit and relax if you are getting too hot. Overall I do recommend hot yoga here for anyone interested. The locker room and showers were nice too. read more

I signed up for the intro 21 days. I loved attending Luke's class. He is very energetic verbally and did a good job correcting my posture.

I generally love most thing about the studio but guys the three hour cancellation window policy feels a quite predatory. This is NYC and a lot of us are business owners and have kids and many things can change within three hours. I just tried to cancel two hours before my class and now I'm going to be charged $10? That's a little irresponsible and insensitive to your customers I think. I pay a monthly membership of $160 and don't appreciate being charged an extra $10 if I need to cancel two hours before class which I think is more than enough time. Also I forgot one of my yoga outfits behind and went to travel. I was gone for a week. When I came back I was told my clothes had been thrown away And that the studio only keep things left behind in locker rooms for one week. Again as New Yorkers, some of us travel a lot and might be gone for a week The day after we take class. Might I suggest holding yoga clothes for two weeks? Yoga clothes are expensive. I paid $120 for the set That was thrown away and I had worn it two times. We're already paying a nice amount of money to attend this studio if you could be more considerate of your customer's wallets that would be great. read more

To start I loved my instructor, she was attentive and added humor to the class. All my three stars go to her. However the front desk staff is extremely rude and condescending. And the room was too crowded which significantly added to the heat and humidity in the room. Also the floor beneath my mat was lifting up. It was kind of dingy looking. I will not be back. read more

This studio is amazing. I've now been to the 90, 75, and 60 minute bikram classes, along with Yin Nidra 75 and every meditation session, has surpassed my highest expectations. Diversity in types/lengths of hot yoga classes offered, daily schedules, studio locations, etc. is unmatched elsewhere in the city. The instruction always feels so individualized and communicated in a way where everyone in class feels compelled and committed to reaching their next highest level of practice. The staff is always friendly and understanding, and the mobile app makes scheduling across all four locations incredibly easy! I am beyond excited to make Bode a permanent part of my life in NYC at the end of my new student trial period! read more

I used to love bode. I wanted to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience bringing a friend of mine as a guest. I tried to sign her up online but couldn't since I couldn't register her with my free guest passes. I called the flat iron studio twice with no answer, then again and left a voicemail, sent an email and received no response. I then arrived 45 minutes early to discuss this with the front desk and add her to the wait list. I showed my guest card to the front desk staff member who wrote down her information on a post it note so that she could be added to the waiting list. They did not however add her to the wait list and 10 other people who walked into the studio after me were added. The lineup getting into class was an aggressive zoo and absolutely anti- any sort of calming environment one would hope their yoga studio could provide. Her credit card was taken for a water charge, but she was subsequently charged for an introductory 3 week offer which she did not request, plus I had paid for the class with my coupon. She has since emailed and called the studio to have this charge dropped since she was unhappy with the studio environment, and no one has responded to her. read more

I have been taking the HIIT classes. It is sometimes overcrowded but it's always a great, fun workout. I would not be able to push myself as hard if I was working out by myself. The heat helps to get the blood moving and sweat extra. Definitely bring a change of clothes and leave enough time to shower after. read more

I have been to many many Bikram/hot yoga studios, from London to LA to SF to NY and I think Bode is my favorite (I go to flatiron and the upper east side). Great variety of teachers all of whom are very good. I love that they have so many classes as well it means I generally get my yoga in even on a crazy busy day. read more

I tried the 3 week deal that bode nyc has and would highly recommend! All of the instructors and staff have been very friendly and welcoming. The classes are great for all levels, I've taken less than 10 yoga classes in my life and it hasn't been an issue, the instructors have been very helpful. Their hot HIIT classes are my favorite, I just wish they had more of them! There are also showers there (4 or 5 of them) with toiletries. read more

Bode is the best hot yoga studio I've ever been to. They aren't afraid to truly CRANK up the heat!!! After all, as much as it "sucks" that's what we want right?! I've only ever tried the Hot HIIT classes at Bode and they are great. They encourage me to do specific interval workouts that I wouldn't normally do at the gym. The room is heated which makes you SWEAT - which is awesome. The class is broken up into strength training (planks, arms, abs, squats) then cardio (burpees and other creative movements that really raise your heart rate). Both sections are done in intervals either working for 20 or 30 seconds with a 10 second break. Some teachers are definitely better than others. Scott and Regina are my favorite during the week at the Flatiron location. Almost all teachers that i've had who teach Hot HIIT over the weekend at Flatiron are good as well. Most teachers inspire you to push yourself harder. Locker rooms are fine nothing fancy but i think they are clean - they have showers and lockers that you can bring a lock to. Towels and matts are given for your first time, but after that matts are $5 and towels are $2. Overall, i love the workout for building tone and muscle. Easy to see results after 5 classes - but you'll definitely be sore after your first. read more

I have regularly been taking classes at Bode Yoga for the past 2 weeks and it has been a very enjoyable experience. The teachers are knowledgeable, thorough, patient and supportive and I actually learn something new in every class. The rooms are beautiful and can hold a crowded class without feeling claustrophobic. The only thing I don't love is the commitment to 105° heat, it's a little too much for me. Although some teachers let the room cool down after the standing series, which helps a lot. read more

Bode yoga is the perfect workout. It is especially good because it slowly strengthens the muscles and fascia and the increased blood flow promotes healing. The practice is very meditative and that calm strength infiltrates your daily life and decision making. Since the rebrand to Bode from Bikram the entire attitude of the studio has changed; its feels more inclusive, supportive, and kind. read more
