Just had a nice coffee with a few ladies this evening. We had great customer service from the barista. She answered questions we had about coffee and turned on the fire pit out back. Great view of the rock river. Bodacious brew will be my new found gem of Janesville to tell visitors about. Thank you for your wonderful service!

Cute coffee shop in downtown Janesville. Multiple level seating area along with an outside area. Offers some food items. Coffee was fresh but extremely hot.

Great new coffee shop in Janesville! I have only had some iced coffee, but I found the flavor to be enjoyable and unique.

WOW what a find ! I am usually pretty much a burger and fry girl, but I found several fun and tasty…read moreitems from McFarlane Pheasants. The best I have had is their pheasant pie can you say MMMMMMM. I also have enjoyed their alligator, rabbit, buffalo and so much more. This is truly a unique place to shop. If you are interested at all in exotic meats this is the place to go. Not only do they carry it right in their store, but you can mail order it too, that is great for gift giving. Plus they give you tried and true recipes to help you out. This neat store also carries various seasonings to help you make your meal taste the best it can. Now I really hate mushrooms, and my daughter loathes them...BUT I found a wonderful mushroom seasoning there that we just can't live without anymore. It is called 4Shroom and it is by P Dickey's. Not sure if it is available anywhere else but I know you can get it at MacFarlane's ! If you ever had wanted to try something different, MacFarlane's is the place to go, especially if you can get to one of their taste test days...all sorts of FREE samples to tempt your taste buds. Not to mention it is a great way of trying something new without the worry of spending money on something you might not like. I HIGHLY recommend MacFarlane Pheasants...and NO I am not a employee or owner, just a VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER :)

A quick Google search can reveal the depths of this scam...so can the movie Betting on Zero or the John Oliver newscast about MLMs. It's a scam. These "storefronts" are designed to get you in the door and get you to buy into Herbalife (with their "find out about nutrition" informational meetings and challenges). Getting people to sign up is how the money is made, not selling a product. The "nutrition club" storefronts, which is what Hometown Hub is, rarely last because it's an unsustainable business model. They will brand themselves as a "supportive community" for nutrition and healthy shakes. There have been no legitimate studies supporting the health efficacy of HL shakes. In 2008, Herbalife was sued after laboratory tests indicated that levels of lead in several Herbalife products were in excess of California state law and could lead to liver problems over an extended period of time. So yeah. LEAD. Much healthy. At the end of the day, Herbalife is a pyramid scheme designed to make those at the top rich and the rest financially beholden to the scam. Hometown Hub is not terribly clear about WHERE their shakes are from unless you ask them directly or you know what you're looking for when you're in their store. I'm sure the owners would give you a nice, typical Pyramid Scheme response in that "No, pyramid schemes are illegal. We are a multi-level marketing company....or we are a supportive nutrition club" It's all a facade. Most of these "businesses" fail because of the structure. So, the TLDR is this: Hometown Hub is a front for a pyramid scheme and probably shouldn't be supported.

There are stairs to get in the front, but it is level in the back where there is a parking lot as well! Our server was super nice and treated us well. They have pretty good beer list, but have a huge wine list surprisingly. They have many cocktails to choose from too! Our food was all delicious. They have a variety of options that span from fairly priced elevated "bar food" to gourmet dishes. The cheese curds came as cubes and were delicious! Super fun take on the traditional, and a must have for a bar in Wisconsin. For meals we got the hot honey chicken sandwich, tai chicken flatbread on cauliflower crust, lobster ravioli and DH burger! Everyone loved their meals. We'll be back for sure!

just passing through town, and as always, turned to Yelp. I would like to give 5 stars to bring up…read more the rating up because I think they're a 4.5 star restaurant. We were impressed by the Gray's root beer and ginger beer. Love them serving truly local brewed sodas. The root beer was a little vanilla heavy but I liked it because I don't like most root beer. The ginger brew was EXCELLENT, and I know my ginger beers. Now I have to find out where I can buy it. We consider ourselves calamari aficianados (self-proclained, of course.). We were stoked to try it based on all of the rave reviews. Alas, this is the dish that most drop the rating for us. The calamari pieces were very small, very tough and the batter blew off. Weirdly, it showed up so close to our ordering it that I wondered if something was wrong. Was the oil so hot that the usual cook time was now too long? We're they trying a new vendor and these very small pieces cooked WAY to fast. In any case, I suggest they relook at the quality control on that dish. Below I send a photo of all the batter that fell off in the serving dish. It was a nice sized order and tasted like very good rubbery, miniature calamari. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was delicious. It was so moist and I didn't know whether that was due to brining, sous vide, bone in, or just the best preparation I've ever had. And his plate was full of potatoes and brussel sprouts. Couldn't have been happier. I had the walleye (only on Fridays) and it was a beautiful, thick fillet cooked to perfection. The potatoes were delicious, albeit not as pesto as I expected. But skin on and purple potatoes showed me a commitment to quality ingredients. There was also a nice slaw on my plate. I like that their plates had a starch and a vegetable; kind of like the restaurant days of old. No nickel and diming the customer with ordering all your sides. Heck, skin on potatoes and the more-nutricious purple potatoes are like vegetables as well. Service was great and the restaurant was nice and warm despite it being a very cold day. That means a lot to me as an "older" customer We will definitely come back and even maybe try the calamari because our tiny ringlets and tentacles didn't look like any of photos I have seen.
