My parents and I had a fabulous lunch here after a visit to the royal greenhouses, and it might have been my best meal in Brussels so far.
The restaurant was rather fancy on the inside, but they didn't seem to care that we were dressed very casually. The crowd was decidedly elderly, something that even my septuagenarian stepfather commented on. Service was rather fast and friendly for Belgium, and prices were reasonable. Three main courses, a dessert, and three cappuccinos came out to less than 80 euros.
The food was delicious. The lasagna was excellent. I had a vegetarian pasta dish (I forget the name of it, but it's kind of like a rolled up lasagna), and it was incredibly flavorful, probably the best choice of our group. We were all impressed by how flavorful they were able to make the eggplant taste. The portions were generous, and we had plenty of leftovers to take home. For dessert, their tiramisu and espresso drinks were great.
I will absolutely be back if I'm in the area, and I'm even thinking about going out of my way for this place. read more
