Saw an instagram post about this restaurant and was excited to try it. We get there around 3 on a Sunday, saw many people in tables with no food so I thought they were probably done eating and just chatting. Well, I was wrong!! We waited 30mins to get our drinks, soon we realized the people in the tables had been waiting to be served their food. So we decided to wait another 30mins for our food since it was super hyped on social media. The cebiche is by far the worst we've tried ever!! The aguadito is s soup and you would think it would be hot but no not hot/lukewarm, it was cold!! The lomo a la pobre was okay but I didn't enjoy it since the service was terrible and the wait for subpar food made it worst.

    LOMO SALTADO!

If you have not been to this amazing place, you are missing out! The food, the service all amazing! We drove over 3 hours to get here and it was well worth the drive! If you want truly authentic Peruvian cuisine, look no further! Can't wait to come back and try more deliciousness!

    Pollo a la brasa

I came for the pollo a la brasa, and i was disappointed chicken was super dry sauces didnt help at all. So sad i cant find a good peruvian rotisserie chicken. The tallarin verde was good. The maracuya was delicious! The service was great we had a nice waitress. The place is nice but small and parking was limited. Will try and come back next time and try the Seafood platter.

    Very good food

The food is very good would come again The drinks are very good the staff is very helpful The restaurant feels very much like home

$3.20 for using card. BRING CASH

The unassuming charm of this Peruvian gem left an indelible mark on my culinary senses. Nestled inconspicuously, it may not flaunt the sophistication of places like Cabra, known for its enticing Lomo Saltado, but it far surpasses expectations in flavor and authenticity. Every dish bursts with meticulously crafted flavors, demonstrating an unparalleled dedication to culinary classics that your taste buds will undeniably appreciate. The service, though warm, could benefit from more efficiency, and the restroom needs a functional lock. These minor issues, however, don't overshadow the remarkable dining experience. I'm already planning my next visit later this month. Truly, I'm hooked. Bring cash. They charge $3.20 for swiping a card. Also parking is limited.

    1. Is the rice cooked in chicken broth or beef broth or plain water? 2. Is lard or crisco used in the beans?…

I'm not sure if the rice is cooked in chicken broth for the most part it is steamed rice.

This restaurant came up on my IG feeds... looks awesome... we were not disappointed! The restaurant does not take reservations online. We came on a weeknight, found a street parking right infront and got seated right away (scored!) They have 4 tower sets: crew set ($109) serving 1-2 persons, chief set ($159.99) serving 3-4, master ($219.99) serving 4-5, captain ($299) serving 5-6. They also have a la carte, hot pot, etc. We had crew set which includes 1.4 lbs Manila clams, 2 whole shell oyster, large clams, shrimps, mussles, scallops, octopus, potatoes, served with korean ceviche, steam egg, pancake, spicy rice cakes, korean noodle soups. There are 3 different dipping sauces which are delicious. It is a lot of food. You definitely get your money worth here. The staff is friendly and attentive. They cooked the seafood at the table. The air ventilator is pretty good but I probably won't wear my must dry-clean clothes to dine here. Overall, Burnin' Shell did live up to its hype!

Holbox is a Mexican seafood spot inside Mercado La Paloma and the quality of the food seriously speaks for itself. You can tell there's real care and freshness put into every dish. It absolutely deserves all the recognition it gets as one of LA's standout seafood spots. I had the ceviche mixto with rice and a shrimp taco and both were sooo good. The ceviche was bright fresh flavorful and packed with seafood. The shrimp taco was perfectly balanced and honestly one of those tacos you think about later. My partner got the smoked kanpachi taco and a shrimp plate that neither of us can remember the exact name of but the sauce on it was INSANE. We were literally talking about it the whole meal. My daughter got the coctel and loved it too. Even the lemonade was electric... refreshing flavorful and honestly one of the best lemonades I've had in a while. Everything tasted fresh clean and thoughtfully prepared without feeling pretentious. The whole meal felt comforting while still being exciting and unique. Overall this place absolutely lived up to the reviews and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in LA. Holbox is officially worth the hype.

First off, the all you can eat is a set basket of food, meaning you get mussels, shrimp, clams, crawfish, potatoes, garlic noodles, corn and their daily basket. Just for us to order, a bit disappointed honestly. The food arrives decently fast. I dig in, Mama B is hungry y'all! The shrimp is cheap, okay. Small, fishy, rubbery Walmart type of shrimps. The corn plasticy, cheap and just disgusting. The potatoes, poorly cooked and under seasoned. The clams... no notes. Now at this point Mama B is scared y'all...I wasn't trying to get food poisoning. I'm disappointed, honestly the most flavourless seafood boil I have ever had the displeasure of eating. What's horrifying is the bill was $91...$91!!!! I feel like this math is just not mathing. I believe the tax is ridiculously high and possible charged for water cups? I really truly could've made a mean Walmart seafood boil for a cheaper price, that'd actually be seasoned... Not Mama B approved, go elsewhere.

First of all, their prices are amazing! They have lunch deals that you simple can't beat for the quality of food! In addition to getting their hot food, you can also get raw seafood to cook at home. It's a great 1 stop shop for your seafood needs, and they even have cajun seasonings for purchase. I always get their catfish and shrimp platters.
