Decided to order from this place based on a few reviews. Sadly, I was displeased with most of not all of it. Where do I start? The rice was not fresh. It seemed to be reheated from yesterday's batch or two days ago. Some was hard and literally a teaspoon serving of it was mush. The fried calamari was way over cooked, fries were soggy. Lomo saltado was try and oily. The green sauce was delicious but I ordered 6, paid for 6 .50 per side and only received 3 in my delivery. Over all, I was disappointed. I'm hoping it was an off day or possibly it's due to stress of the covid-19... but as of today's experience, I will not be ordering again. read more

Very nice new option in a neighborhood that doesn't have many good healthy food spots. Highlights were the ceviche mixto which was full of great seafood and excellent spicy lime juice. Instead of tortilla chips, comes with crunchy Peruvian corn and some sweet potato. Also excellent was the papa rellena with nice chunks of steak and delicious spicy green aji sauce on the side. The papa a la huancaina was a bit disappointing in the quantity and quality of the potatoes for the price. Fried plantains were on point. My boyfriend was ecstatic because they have the green spaghetti and steak which is weirdly hard to find at Peruvian places. I will be back... and am hoping the owner can move away from styrofoam and use some biodegradable packaging. read more

4 stars for the taste, quality, temperature and customer service I've gotten the PAST times I've been here. HOWEVER, today was different which is why I feel compelled to leave a review. We spent $50 today on food which is why I'm quite upset with the customer service we received. Normally, the lady at the counter that helps us is very kind and attentive. Always makes sure before we leave that we have everything we ordered and to our liking. Today was different. It was a gentleman, that to me looked like the cook, but he checked us out. #1 - Upon ordering our food, we were told it would take 40 minutes because they were very busy. We get there 30 minutes later, and come to find out, not a soul is there and he stated our food was ready 10 minutes ago. (Let me add, we were surprised we were told 40 minutes because they're normally very quick making our food) Already, I was bothered. But when my boyfriend pulled the food out to feel the temp., it was still hot so we let it go. I ordered a lomo saltado with extra papa. Something ive ordered here before plenty of times and all other Peruvians restaurants I frequent. We get home, unpack our food, and I'm literally given dry ass fries with no sauce just thrown on top of my meat and rice. We laughed because I've NEVER seen this before. When I request extra fries, it's to be mixed in with my meat, IN THE SAUCE. Oh, but my meat had very little sauce so the fries that already do come with the meat, were also dry. The food was delicious so I thought, maybe I should let this go and clarify next time EXACTLY what I want. Something I've never had to do before but don't mind doing. So I think about it some more, and I think no, I'm going to communicate with the restaurant and let them know my concerns. The gentleman that answers, somewhat takes a bit of a defensive tone repeating the fact we ordered extra fries. So I begin to go into detail regarding the matter. I seem to be getting NOWHERE with this person because he keeps reiterating himself that I asked for extra fries with my meat. So I stop trying to explain what I meant and asked him how he intends to fix this and what I should do. THISSSSSSSS is the part that gets me. THIS. With a very CONDESCENDING TONE, says, "pues madre usted mixeleas uste mismas ahí en su casa. Agarre algo con que mixear." I was left speechless. Obviously, his customer service skills are non existent to say the least. So I tell him, I don't need LITERAL instructions on how to mix my food, I want to know what YOU are going to do to fix this. So he says well you ordered extra fries. So at this point I hang up because I can't deal with him. I call back to get his name and asked if there's anyone in charge I can speak to. He says no, just me, I'm a server, we have no managers here and the owners are never here. They never come. So I said, so if I had an issue, how am I ever suppose to speak to management or someone that can help me? He said, you can come and leave a note for them. I'm just BAFFLED. He asks what my problem is and what's going on? I told him I didn't like how he handled my situation and the customer service I got. He said, "I offered to give you sauce." Regardless, I'm sad because I've had nothing but great experiences here, the food is delicious always. Very consistent, but this left a terrible taste in my mouth. I had a lomo saltado and it tastes better than other Peruvian restaurants around the area. I ordered to go and it came with a small soup which was also very good. The only downside is no parking but no biggie. read more

I was curious to try this place because I was around the area. I looked around and noticed the people there were not Peruvian. I did however, gave them a chance because I thought and hoped the cook might be Peruvian. I ordered a lomo saltado and a chicken "their version of a rotisserie" When the food arrived and it was tasteless and had no flavor of not even a basic Peruvian condiment. Their chicken was so dry and it seem it was placed on hold for ages. Indeed the only thing there that was Peruvian was the Inca Cola. The entire environment of the place looks very strange like if it was a bar or something. There was another lady that ordered a meal there and complained about the flavor too. It is really embarrassing how they are putting down our country serving this type of food. This is not a Peruvian restaurant. Not sure if they are just saying it's Peruvian to bring in costumers. Not good! I feel bad because probably people who are not Peruvian might think this is the way the food is suppose to be. But they cannot trick a real Peruvian! Please change the name or change the cook and stop putting Peru down! read more

Came here during the week with the family. Did not want to cook so made sure to fine a good place close to home. The food is good and had a lot of flavor, there is better out there but you will be in LA traffic for over 45min-1hr. This looks like a family owned restaurant waitress was very attentive and friendly. read more

They gave me a little chicken rice soup while I waited for my food. Delish, lovely marriage of species, perfectly cooked rice, and the chicken broth was on point. I tried the yucca fries as well. A little too hard to for me, but yucca is different. The mixed ceviche!! Delicate white fish in tart lemon with a kick of chile (let them know if you are into spicy) perfectly cooked sweet potato and corn. Bomb. I also tried the maracuya drink, refreshing and sweet for a summer day. Lastly for later, arroz con leche, which was still hot. Tasted a bit because I couldn't wait, oh yeah. Only reason it's not five stars, is I wanted to try the papas a la huancaina and they didn't have it yet. I had to wait a bit but it was worth it. The server was very nice and the food comes out fast. However, that's the ONLY good thing about this place. I really don't want to be mean but we couldn't even eat anything we ordered it was so bland / bad quality. We probably took two bites of each dish and paid and left and went to Wendy's. read more
