I love this pumpkin farm. They have soo many different pumpkins it's such a hard decision to make which pumpkin I should take home. I ended up buying two medium size pumpkins and two small ones. Got them for a great price. Highly recommend this location.
Located at 2900 Highway One S in Half Moon Bay Bob's is the place to get fresh produce. As a local Bob's is my go to for lproduce grown locally. The eggs from Triple D Ranch are farm fresh. The stand opens in April, in September and October the fields are filled with an assortment of pumpkins. Service is friendly, quality produce at a great price.
Looking for a simple pumpkin patch without the hayrides, corn mazes, and colorful slides? Make a day to Bob's for all of your pumpkin needs! If going down the 92 I would go early morning because it's a two-way road and traffic can build up over the day. I would leave the area no later than 2 pm, as well. At the farm there is ample parking and there was barely anyone at 11:30 am on a weekday. There's no admission fee and you pay for what you pick. There are wheelbarrows available to cart your pumpkins around while you take pictures on the haystacks and decorations. I can't emphasize enough that this is a no-frill pumpkin patch that offers pumpkins at a fair price. After perusing the abundant fields of pumpkins, we settled with 3 pumpkins (1 medium, 2 small) for only $12! What a steal! The cashier also informed me that they have produce during the spring time, which is sold at the barn near the parking lot. I'll have to return to see what is in stock during the Spring. If you're trying to enjoy Fall while staying within a budget, skip the gimmicky farms on 92 (unless you want that/have kiddos) and come to this humble pumpkin patch instead!
I've drove by a couple times after going to our go to pumpkin patch. This time we decided that after that, we would swing by. I gotta admit, the pumpkins are bigger, and they have more of a variety of them. They also have a bunch of farm animals that you can check out and don't have to pay for them.there is no charge for parking and you can just go in to take pictures and enjoy the patch. That's exactly what we did. We'll be back.
I loved this pumpkin patch! It was my first time here and I enjoyed the ample parking they offer and the amount of space there is for searching for the perfect pumpkin. They grow their pumpkins here and it's a nice experience to see how beautiful nature really is. They also had a few farm animals that are a great sight for kids! Bonus: next to the beach & accepts dogs!
I started coming to Bob's about five years ago. My family originally started coming here to check out the produce stand when we would drive along the coast. A few years ago, we also started coming for the pumpkin patch. Previous years we would go to other pumpkin patches in half Moon Bay, but we found Bob's to be less crowded and liked the idea of picking the pumpkins where they grow. Some of them are still even connected to the vines! The prices are also extremely reasonable, we spent $35 on 5 pumpkins this year, two of them being fairly large. They also have a few animal pens on the farm. They have pigs, chickens, and sheep and goats. All fun to look at and super cute. The farmstand is also fantastic, they have seasonal fruits and vegetables that are always fresh. I love coming at different times of the year to see the different produce that is currently in season.
** The following review reflects my experience DURING the COVID-19 pandemic. ** So I've never been here when the pumpkin patch is set up, just when they have the fresh produce in an open front warehouse mostly in spring or summer. Come fall and the produce disappears and the adjacent open field is freckled with dots of orange (photo: https://bit.ly/3lx7A3D). Only as you come closer do you notice the wide variety of shapes and sizes of pumpkins. There are also big wooden bins upfront full of pumpkins, some in different colors if you have a thing against orange. I like this no frills, no corn maze, no rides - straight forward pumpkin patch. No entree fee , no parking fees. Just pay for your pumpkins. $20 for a very large pumpkin. It's a pumpkin patch with views of the ocean and the ocean air.
10/31/20- Happy Halloween! No better way to kick-off the fall festivities than to visit a pumpkin patch. Such great weather today too! Perfect fall vibes with the exception of missing a cup of apple cider or chai latte in my hand. -Pumpkin farm- Bob's has a large variety of pumpkins to choose from! Big to small, they've got it all. At the entrance, there is a display of pumpkins with the approximate pricing (ranging $1 to $30), depending on their size. I thought the prices were very affordable/reasonable! No tricks with the value here and you're bound to find a pumpkin (or several) to your liking. -Vegetable stand- I was quite excited to buy some vegetables but I may be too late in the season. The stand was not open when I went today (Saturday), which was quite disappointing. Not sure if the stand is available on the weekdays or if all the vegetables have been sold. I saw several pumpkin farms on the way to Bob's that had more people (but less pumpkins). Bob's is definitely less busy, which is great for COVID precautions and you also get more pumpkins to yourself to choose from! If you're looking to just get pumpkins and don't care for other fall activities (corn maze, apple cider, hay rides), Bob's is your place. They do have a little animal farm with goats, pigs, and chickens as well as some large hay bales to play on. Could be fun for kids too! Overall, I was disappointed I missed the vegetable stand and wished they had some fall drinks available but Bob's is a great place to get great priced pumpkins with family.
Great pumpkin patch off highway 1 with plenty of parking that's free. Lots of pumpkins to choose from but likely best to go early in the season to pick fresh pumpkins off the vine. There are plenty of sections of the patch with autumn backdrops to take your fall photos with family and friends. We enjoyed our time picking the right pumpkin for our home and decoration as well as to cook. They have wheelbarrows available so you can load it up with pumpkins. They also have hay bails and also petting zoo too. Seeing this pumpkin patch with the ocean view is beautiful scenic area to relax at to enjoy a picnic as there are picnic tables available..
First time here. Love that everything is so spread out and not crowded. Kids love the hay climbing structure and the animals. Great spot to pick out pumpkins too and they have some really good size ones too.
This is our second year here and we love this place because they have giant pumpkins that are still on the vine. My husband and daughter love the experience of pulling them off vine. This place is huge with lots of variety to choose from and very affordable which is a huge plus! It's never very crowded with a view of the ocean, you can't beat that! Definitely a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be coming back every year! read more

I've been coming here for over 10 years and it is my FAVORITE pumpkin patch in all of Half Moon Bay! It's simple, prices are very fair, they actually grow their pumpkins, they are so nice, and the farm animals are cute. Jumping off the hay bales are always fun too. read more
IMHO If you're looking to pick a pumpkin on farmland where it actually grew, this is your place! Located on Hwy 1in Half Moon Bay, there is plenty of room to park, admission is free, thousands of pumpkins to choose from, and plenty of wheelbarrows available to hold your choices. Believe me, if you're picky, you'll be rolling your wheelbarrow all over the place! Prices range from $5 to $50. Specialty pumpkins are separated into different bins for easy browsing. I chose a beautiful red-orange Cinderella pumpkin for $5! If you want to take pictures of the fields of orange for fall family pics, this is a great place to do it. It's selfie-central! Love that it's so spacious! You will not run into other parties. You can freely walk around to take a ton of pictures, and there are a couple cute photo ops. Parking was plentiful. There were a couple piglets and a few goats/sheep fenced off. All in all, super cute spot!! Glad we found it (and our pumpkin!) Pricing of each pumpkin was marked at the front as you enter. I'd say it's not expensive at all, considering you don't even need to pay an entrance fee. Def recommend checking this out next year! read more

I absolutely love this little pumpkin farm in half moon bay which is one of the few that are pooch friendly. So many pumpkins to choose from and lots of cute cute photo ops. Very socially distanced for covid as well! Pumpkins were appropriately priced. Only thing is cash only! Also in October get there early to avoid traffic in half moon bay read more
This place was awesome! There weren't really any attractions other than the pumpkins themselves. But that's what we came to half moon bay for! So it was perfect. I loved how vast the space was and it was covered with what felt like millions and millions of pumpkins. Very instagrammy. There's no tree cover, which I liked because you could take pictures with the pumpkins and have an unimpeded view of the millions of pumpkins in the background. It was also free to walk in. At the entrance they have example prices of the cost of pumpkins depending on their size. You can use a wheelbarrel to help you load the pumpkins into your car. So nice! We actually intended to go to Arata Farms next door but it was craaaazy packed and they had a fee for parking on top of an entrance fee. With how crowded it seemed it didn't seem worth it to do the mazes so we settle for this place which was next door! Just a tip in case you're feeling defeated by the crowd and limited parking like we were. This was our saving grace! read more

Me and my boyfriend loved this place!! No entry fee and really good priced pumpkins! We got two large ones for $20!! The workers were very nice and welcoming!! The pumpkins sold at arata's pumpkin patch are so expensive and they charge $30 for just one large pumpkin. I definitely recommend coming here for the beautiful view and perfect priced pumpkins!! read more

Always a fun spot to stop and pick up veggies from year round. And come Autumn a great pumpkin patch to visit and find the perfect pumpkin. Don't leave before visiting the animals. Adorable pigs, goats, sheep and chickens. read more

If you're looking for a simple pumpkin patch, no bouncy houses and no kitsch, Bob's is your place! It was a short drive south on Highway 1 out of downtown Half Moon Bay-well signed and easy to find. Large lot and free entry. We had amazing views of the pumpkin patch, hills to the east and the Pacific to the west (along with some coastal cows grazing on the opposite side of the highway.) Before scoping out the pumpkin choices, we spent some time saying hi to the goats, pigs, bunnies and geese and then climbing a bale of hay (because it was there to climb!) They had a wide variety of unique types of pumpkins at some very reasonable prices-I never realized all the kinds out there! I ended up getting some mini pumpkins that had some unique coloring and only paid $4 for my mini pumpkin haul. With the scenic vistas, cute farm animals, colorful & quality pumpkins and a peaceful low key scene, Bob's is the only spot I'll venture to in the HMB area for my fall pumpkin adventures. Truly an unexpected gem on the coast. Cash or check only and well worth the drive. read more
Came here for pumpkin picking at 11 on a Wednesday morning. There were about five other small groups there. There was so much space to roam around - it was really beautiful. There are fenced animals to say hi to - chickens, goats, pigs. There are also lots of hay bales to climb and jump on. The pumpkins were really good quality and a lot of them are big!! Lots of opportunities for photo taking. They also sell hay bales and corn stalks. We got 4 very large pumpkins, a couple of medium ones and about 7 smaller ones and 1.5 hay bales for about $75 - it was a great deal! The guy working there helped us get the hay bales up into our truck. As far as Covid guidelines - there are signs requesting patrons to wear masks. I would say most adults were wearing masks, most kids were not. There is hand sanitizer at the check out stand. A beautiful, quiet pumpkin patch with great ambiance and tons of pumpkins! read more

Awesome pumpkin patch!!!!! I got to take a ride in a wheelbarrow!! There's so many pumpkins to choose from! My boyfriend likes to choose weird shaped pumpkins to carve for Halloween and there's an endless assortment to choose from here alongside the perfect shaped ones! And while you're exploring the vast land for your perfect pumpkin you can take your kid for an exciting and bumpy ride in the wheelbarrow or come with a big strong guy and hitch a ride in it yourself! See pumpkins growing on the vine on this picturesque farm. It doesn't have mazes, jumpers and attractions but it does have old fashioned charm, wheelbarrows and hay bales. It made us think of Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin. Bob's pumpkins looked better (better color, shape, health) and fresher than the other pumpkin patches in town. The pumpkins tend to be larger than most places and their prices are about half of Arata's Farm up the street. In addition to the standard pumpkins, they had sugar pie, sweet meat and Cinderella pumpkins. Pumpkin prices start at $1. Ample parking, fewer crowds. Cash only. read more

This place is legit. It's about a 30-45 minute trek from the city depending on traffic, but it's so worth it. We went on a Friday morning in October and there were maybe 6 cars in the massive parking lot and just a few groups of people in the actual patch. It's not crowded. This place is huge and there should be no issue with finding great photo opportunities with your loved ones. If you're the type to take seasonal fall photos with your friends and family, this is definitely the place to do it. We bought 2 pumpkins that cost us less than $10 and we took well over 100 photos that turned out beautifully! I uploaded them so you can see. No bouncy houses, no that many kids, but so much fun. read more
An adult-friendly pumpkin patch with acres of pumpkins. No crazy kid rides or petting zoos. This place is a "side of the road" gem that is both a pumpkin farm and a fruit stand. I loved it! They have the assortment of perfectly round and bright orange pumpkins in every shape and size. If you're looking for something a bit less orange, they have those pumpkins too! Decently priced means you can get an array of pumpkins for around $10. It's in a great area too. Just off Highway 1 (you'll see it from the road), you get to pick pumpkins while smelling the ocean air. Pretty perfect. Just a heads up: it's cash or check only. No credit cards here. read more
