Located on Hwy 1in Half Moon Bay, there is plenty of room to park, admission is free, thousands of pumpkins to choose from, and plenty of wheelbarrows available to hold your choices. Believe me, if you're picky, you'll be rolling your wheelbarrow all over the place! Prices range from $5 to $50. Specialty pumpkins are separated into different bins for easy browsing. I chose a beautiful red-orange Cinderella pumpkin for $5! If you want to take pictures of the fields of orange for fall family pics, this is a great place to do it. It's selfie-central! My family and I have come to Bob's for our pumpkins for the past couple years now. We love Bob's because it has, by far, the best selection of pumpkins we've found in the peninsula! And it somehow gets better every year - this year, they had a whole new section full of pumpkins that wasn't there last year. Not only that, but the pumpkins were even bigger and healthier looking. They grow their own pumpkins here, and it's fun walking through and actually seeing some pumpkins still growing on their vines! Bob's doesn't have most of the "extras" of some other nearby patches - no rides, no corn mazes, none of that (although there is a small zoo with farm animals for the kiddos, which my little nephew thoroughly enjoys). But if you want to find the best possible pumpkins for carving or decoration, Bob's is as good as it gets. Not only that, but the parking and admission are free, pumpkins are very affordably priced (especially for their size), they have an unobstructed view of the ocean, and the people working there are as friendly as it gets. Looking for a simple pumpkin patch without the hayrides, corn mazes, and colorful slides? Make a day to Bob's for all of your pumpkin needs! If going down the 92 I would go early morning because it's a two-way road and traffic can build up over the day. I would leave the area no later than 2 pm, as well. At the farm there is ample parking and there was barely anyone at 11:30 am on a weekday. There's no admission fee and you pay for what you pick. There are wheelbarrows available to cart your pumpkins around while you take pictures on the haystacks and decorations. I can't emphasize enough that this is a no-frill pumpkin patch that offers pumpkins at a fair price. After perusing the abundant fields of pumpkins, we settled with 3 pumpkins (1 medium, 2 small) for only $12! What a steal! The cashier also informed me that they have produce during the spring time, which is sold at the barn near the parking lot. I'll have to return to see what is in stock during the Spring. If you're trying to enjoy Fall while staying within a budget, skip the gimmicky farms on 92 (unless you want that/have kiddos) and come to this humble pumpkin patch instead! read more

I've drove by a couple times after going to our go to pumpkin patch. This time we decided that after that, we would swing by. I gotta admit, the pumpkins are bigger, and they have more of a variety of them. They also have a bunch of farm animals that you can check out and don't have to pay for them.there is no charge for parking and you can just go in to take pictures and enjoy the patch. I started coming to Bob's about five years ago. My family originally started coming here to check out the produce stand when we would drive along the coast. A few years ago, we also started coming for the pumpkin patch. Previous years we would go to other pumpkin patches in half Moon Bay, but we found Bob's to be less crowded and liked the idea of picking the pumpkins where they grow. Some of them are still even connected to the vines! The prices are also extremely reasonable, we spent $35 on 5 pumpkins this year, two of them being fairly large. They also have a few animal pens on the farm. They have pigs, chickens, and sheep and goats. All fun to look at and super cute. The farmstand is also fantastic, they have seasonal fruits and vegetables that are always fresh. I love coming at different times of the year to see the different produce that is currently in season. read more

Only as you come closer do you notice the wide variety of shapes and sizes of pumpkins. Great pumpkin patch off highway 1 with plenty of parking that's free. Lots of pumpkins to choose from but likely best to go early in the season to pick fresh pumpkins off the vine. There are plenty of sections of the patch with autumn backdrops to take your fall photos with family and friends. We enjoyed our time picking the right pumpkin for our home and decoration as well as to cook. They have wheelbarrows available so you can load it up with pumpkins. They also have hay bails and also petting zoo too. Great pumpkin farm. As soon as you drive up, you can see a giant field full of pumpkins. Grab a wheel barrow and get rollin. Towards the front, there was a large amount of small pumpkins. Head towards the right and you'll bump into some barnyard animals. Prices were very affordable. We walked away with multiple pumpkins and ended up cooking them once halloween was over. read more

At the entrance, there is a display of pumpkins with the approximate pricing (ranging $1 to $30), depending on their size. I thought the prices were very affordable/reasonable! No tricks with the value here and you're bound to find a pumpkin (or several) to your liking. -Vegetable stand- I was quite excited to buy some vegetables but I may be too late in the season. The stand was not open when I went today (Saturday), which was quite disappointing. Not sure if the stand is available on the weekdays or if all the vegetables have been sold. I saw several pumpkin farms on the way to Bob's that had more people (but less pumpkins). Bob's is definitely less busy, which is great for COVID precautions and you also get more pumpkins to yourself to choose from! If you're looking to just get pumpkins and don't care for other fall activities (corn maze, apple cider, hay rides), Bob's is your place. They do have a little animal farm with goats, pigs, and chickens as well as some large hay bales to play on. Could be fun for kids too! The best pumpkin patch we love to come here every year. Great pumpkins, animals and photo ops

Love that it's so spacious! You will not run into other parties. You can freely walk around to take a ton of pictures, and there are a couple cute photo ops. Parking was plentiful. There were a couple piglets and a few goats/sheep fenced off. All in all, super cute spot!! Glad we found it (and our pumpkin!) Pricing of each pumpkin was marked at the front as you enter. This place was awesome! There weren't really any attractions other than the pumpkins themselves. But that's what we came to half moon bay for! So it was perfect. I loved how vast the space was and it was covered with what felt like millions and millions of pumpkins. Very instagrammy. There's no tree cover, which I liked because you could take pictures with the pumpkins and have an unimpeded view of the millions of pumpkins in the background. It was also free to walk in. At the entrance they have example prices of the cost of pumpkins depending on their size. You can use a wheelbarrel to help you load the pumpkins into your car. So nice! We actually intended to go to Arata Farms next door but it was craaaazy packed and they had a fee for parking on top of an entrance fee. With how crowded it seemed it didn't seem worth it to do the mazes so we settle for this place which was next door! Just a tip in case you're feeling defeated by the crowd and limited parking like we were. This was our saving grace! read more

Super cute pumpkin patch with outstanding selection of pumpkin varieties in all kinds of shapes, colors, and sizes. We had a family outing with two small children and one of our dogs (allowed on leash). Everyone enjoyed the pumpkin selection process including the wheelbarrows, and the farm animals were a great attraction. We bought many pumpkins and also some of the fresh eggs that were available. The BEST pumpkin patch ever!!! I have been coming here since I was a little child for over 30 years and it's now tradition to go every first weekend of October. I now decorate my front porch and inside my home with tons of pumpkin and have lined my truck bed and wheel barrow full of pumpkins without breaking the bank at all! Skip the expensive farms on 92 or in Gilroy and come to Bobs! They have hundreds(no joke) of pumpkins to choose from and are always so friendly. Came here for pumpkin picking at 11 on a Wednesday morning. There were about five other small groups there. There was so much space to roam around - it was really beautiful. There are fenced animals to say hi to - chickens, goats, pigs. There are also lots of hay bales to climb and jump on. The pumpkins were really good quality and a lot of them are big!! Lots of opportunities for photo taking. They also sell hay bales and corn stalks. We got 4 very large pumpkins, a couple of medium ones and about 7 smaller ones and 1.5 hay bales for about $75 - it was a great deal! The guy working there helped us get the hay bales up into our truck. As far as Covid guidelines - there are signs requesting patrons to wear masks. If you're looking for a simple pumpkin patch, no bouncy houses and no kitsch, Bob's is your place! It was a short drive south on Highway 1 out of downtown Half Moon Bay-well signed and easy to find. Large lot and free entry. We had amazing views of the pumpkin patch, hills to the east and the Pacific to the west (along with some coastal cows grazing on the opposite side of the highway.) Before scoping out the pumpkin choices, we spent some time saying hi to the goats, pigs, bunnies and geese and then climbing a bale of hay (because it was there to climb!) They had a wide variety of unique types of pumpkins at some very reasonable prices-I never realized all the kinds out there! I ended up getting some mini pumpkins that had some unique coloring and only paid $4 for my mini pumpkin haul. With the scenic vistas, cute farm animals, colorful & quality pumpkins and a peaceful low key scene, Bob's is the only spot I'll venture to in the HMB area for my fall pumpkin adventures. They have a large area where kids can climb the hay bails and jump right off into a pile of hay if they don't might getting some in their pants. There are goats, chickens, and pigs to see. There's a few picnic tables if need that. Walk on over to the pumpkin farm area where pumpkins of various sizes are scattered across a wide field for you to choose from. Finally you can end your trip here with some fresh vegetable stands for sale under the hanger. I came here for the pumpkin patch this year and I have to say I was quite impressed. This was the first pumpkin patch where I didn't feel like I got ripped off with super high pricey pumpkins. I'm sort of new to the whole pumpkin patch thing. I mean I've probably been to one as a child but this was my first time visiting one as an adult with my own kid. I liked this pumpkin patch because it wasn't as crowded as other pumpkin patches. This is probably because it does not have any hay rides, a bounce house, corn maze, or haunted house but IMO that kind of makes the whole experience a bit cheesy anyway.... but I'm sure I'll think differently once my daughter is old enough to enjoy those things ;) The pumpkin selection here is good with a lot of unique looking pumpkins of every shape, size and color. There are also a lot of good photo ops here: with the tractor, with the mountain backdrop, with the pumpkin sign, etc. Aside from the pumpkin patch, there are some bales of hay to jump on, local produce for sale and a small animal petting area (I didn't see this though) Not sure if this place is worth driving OUT to since it is small and there isn't much to do aside from take pictures and buy a pumpkin but if I was in the Half Moon Bay Area again I'd choose this pumpkin patch over the others in the area.
