I figured out why when I got an email right after the guy left with *36* photos and videos of my system. First time they ever did that. Overkill, much? That same week I had one of their guys out to give me a quote on a fairly significant plumbing project. I've never used Waggoners for plumbing, but this is a big enough job I wanted to get more than one quote on it, and it seemed like a thing to do. The gentleman came to my house, I showed him what I had in mind, we discussed options, and he said he would put together an estimate for me and get back to me. Days and days went by, and I had just about given up on hearing from them, when the guy contacted me that he had my estimate ready. He came to my house and walked me through it and it seemed reasonable. I asked him to please send me a copy of the quote by email, and he said he would do that. He left me a catalog to peruse, and said he would be back to pick it up in a couple of days. I told him I'd be happy to send it back with their A/C tech who was coming the next day, but he said no, he didn't trust that he would get it back if I did that. Readers, I never heard from him again. I never got the quote. He never picked up the catalog (which, btw, had NOTHING to do with the work I was asking for). I don't know what to think. I have a service contract for another HVAC maintenance, and I'll probably go through with that, but if things don't get better, I'll probably be moving on. It's a shame.

We had an issue with the washing machine drain backing up in a toilet. The crew came out and went to great lengths to try to find the clog, they were on the roof, pulled the toilet up (and found a problem and repaired that while they were at it), and the problem persisted. So they came back out with a camera and finally found the issue. All of this combined cost less than half of what a previous plumber I used charged to run the camera. I'd trust D and D with any plumbing issue I ever had. And I absolutely know that the price I will pay him will be significantly lower than what you'd pay the guys that advertise on the radio all day.

I was initially told it would be $350 to remove the toilet and fix the leak. Once the toilet was removed I was told it needed a new flange which was an additional $420. When I asked about the price I was told the initial price of $350 only covered the wax ring and closet bolt and did not cover the flange. Since a flange can be picked up at Home Depot for $12 and the toilet was already removed, incurring an additional full labor charge was unfair at best. In the end I was billed $350 to replace the wax ring and another $350 to replace the flange. As a veteran, I try to support my locally owned veteran businesses. This is one that I will not be using in the future and will definitely not recommend to anyone.
