Bob's has been working on our " new to us " refrigerator twice now. Reasonable price for parts and quick service.

Southwest Appliance - Dreaming of a new washer and dryer? Southwest Appliance carries the top brands of front load, and top load laundry appliances.

In May 2018, we purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer. The dryer had a steam function. When we…read morefirst used it, we had a waterfall in our dryer and it leaked into the pedestal. We called Southwest and Kyle came to repair it. He had to order a new nozzle and a few other parts. Each time he came to repair, the steam function still leaked and we would have large wet spots on the clothes. After 9 attempts, Maytag agreed to replace the dryer. Unfortunately, the new dryer did the same thing. The washer, also, would have problems. We did a sanitize that should take 2 hours. After 2 hours we checked and the machine said it had 12 minutes to go. 2 more hours later the load was done. So, a 4+ hour wash. Zac Sterling told us that they've sold 75 of these washer/dryers this year with no problems. We did some research and it appears that the high elevation (9,000 feet) can confuse the sensors. Never thought it would be an issue. The reason we are giving Southwest Appliance 5 stars is, because, Roger and Zac Sterling stepped up and offered to take the washer/dryer back and we could replace with anything we wanted. We chose a brand with less sensors and no steam. We only had to pay the difference in price. We thought that was, more than, fair. We have been buying appliances from Southwest for 10 years. Roger Sterling's commitment to excellent customer service means that we will continue to buy all of our appliances from them. Chris and Terri Evans

Listening: N.A. was not an active listener who cared about his customer. He did not respond with patience to my inquiry, which was actually a follow up to the information he and his colleague had given us. 2. Empathy: According to Forbes, "Empathy focuses on recognizing, managing, and responding to the emotions of customers as well as keeping your own emotions in check. Being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes and empathize with how they are feeling is a crucial part of providing excellent customer service." N.A. did not possess any of these qualities. Rather than put himself with empathy into my shoes, he defended himself and argued with me. 3. Professional courtesy: N.A. did not in any way act courteous or professional in our interaction. 4. Communication: We were given specific dates as to when our order would arrive. These dates passed by with no communication from Southwest Appliance. If Southwest Appliance cannot fulfill their date promises, then they should not mention specific dates to their customers. This is dishonest and manipulating. 5. Honesty: mentioned above, we were promised dates of delivery. When I followed up, questioning the dates they had provided, I received excuses and blame-shifting that they did not have any control over the dates. Yet they had given us promises. This is not an honest company to work with. Customer service requires patience, empathy, professional courtesy, and honesty. It would have been acceptable if N.A. had apologized for the delay and taken ownership of the promises he had given us. But instead, he gave rude, defensive excuses to my simple inquiry. I was assured that they were "giving me the best customer service possible". His rudeness was shocking. I would avoid purchasing from Southwest Appliance and I will never purchase from them in the future. My husband and I wanted to purchase locally to put our dollars toward a family-owned business and support locals here in Durango. Southwest appliance doesn't seem to understand that when locals shop there, they are doing it out of loyalty commitment to small businesses. It is much faster to head over to Home Depot or order online. We're showing them that we care about their small-town business. I would hope that the loyalty that their neighbors show to them by purchasing locally would be returned by displaying above and beyond service with gratitude for the locals who support their business. And Southwest appliance, while you're at it, include customer service training when you hire Associates. N.A., if you're reading this.... my husband did not want to place the order on that day we came into the store. He didn't like the vibe he got from you. I saw the photos on your desk with little children and I thought, "This guy could probably use a commission for Christmas gifts for his kids". I just want you to know I had your back that day and defended you to my husband. I saw a normal guy trying to make a living and I thought maybe we could give a hand. I am frankly shocked at your rudeness toward a local customer. Next time we will order from Home Depot.
