He said that he some other jobs already today and asked if he could come by in the late afternoon. That worked out perfectly for me. He said he would call back when he was on his way. As promised, he called when he was on his way, and he even apologized for the delay. It wasn't a delay from my perspective, but I appreciated that! A technician with AAA found Bob's # on his phone and said he would be able to reprogram my fob/remote and jumper my car. I called Bob and asked for an estimate and was told that he could not give me one without coming out to see my car. He sent Derrick ( his technician) out who tested the battery and said it was the alternator. He said a dead battery is never the cause of a dead fob. He handed me a bill for $175 - I was shocked, saying " what are you charging me for, you did not do anything?." He said he had reprogrammed the fob and I asked why, if he knew it did not need to be? A neighbor that was waiting with me saw how very surprised I was at this receipt given to me when he was done. I was just in a panic or I would not have paid this amount for no help and a wrong diagnosis. I am a 74 year old female, shafted. I will take this to small claims court and take my witness with me! (It was reported to the Better Bussiness Bureau that an estimate had been given to my neighbor that I agreed to ...FALSE! ) The problem was a sensor; a subsequent AAA guy said it was not the alternator. read more

Just closed on a new place and needed to have the locks changed. The house had a mess of old locks and keys that did not work very well or at all. I called Bob's lock and key and was happy to talk to Kevin who was very knowledgeable and courteous so I scheduled an appointment.
