We stopped here on a Wednesday our way home from Spokane to Bonney Lake. The parking lot looked busy but not full; Walked in right about noon. We we're seated quickly, the server stopped by right away and took our drink order( just waters for both of us) and said she'd be right back to take our orders. She did came back fairly soon, took our orders (writing everything down), she was pleasant and efficient. My Hubby had a salad which came out right away and then things went downhill!!!! After his salad, we waited about 30 minutes and asked about the rest of our food, we were told the kitchen was really busy and it would be right out, 15 minutes later we asked for our check so we could leave; the waitress pointed out that my food was up and hubby was being plated; she asked if we'd rather have it to go but Hubby is driving our MH with a car in tow; not able to eat while driving!!!! The manager brought us our food, we asked for the bill and gulped down our food. When hubby looked at the bill they hadn't comped us anything!!! Now we didn't ask; but it would have been nice and sort of expected that they would do something for such a long wait. This is your usual highway diner that also serves some of the local farmers based on who was in the restaurant at the time of our visit. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. Pricing is a bit on the high side but that can be expected being a stop just off I90. Service was efficient albeit not very friendly. Turned away on Father's day because we had 7 people in our group. We were long time patrons but new management or just this one lady ruined Father's Day for our group. Didn't give us any sort of options, just "we don't have room to seat 7" mind you this is an average size group for us, and we used to average once a week dining. read more

Bob's Cafe- first time visit to the Moses Lake area and found Bob's Cafe for a take out meal. Overall, it seems to have the feel of a truck stop/ local diner. We stopped in the beautiful area of Moses Lake late in the evening and looking for some sort of food options while on the road. Not sure if it would be dine in or take out. We had already stopped at a Mexican restaurant that announced they were closed as soon as we walked in, and then we found a Chinese place that had options laid out similar to a "Panda" next to Starbucks... one look at those dried out trays of steam table food made us about face! LOL! We found Bob's Cafe across the highway and decided to try a take out order since it was getting late. We were greeted by a twenty-something with a great attitude and a rather ironic sense of humor of a 60 year old veteran waitress! We decided to try the night's hot plate special- Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy, baked potato, side salad and a dinner roll the size of a bodybuilder's shoe! Price was reasonable and portion size was enough for two of us to share. Especially with that giant loaf of a dinner roll. Flavor was good diner quality. It was quite reminiscent of the old school TV dinner or school lunch, but in a good way. Hot, meaty, load of gravy. Gravy lacked salt, but ground beef was salty- so it balanced out. All in all a good take out meal at a pretty reasonable price. We want to try it for breakfast and eat in. We loved that the inside was decorated with lots of photos and memorabilia that represented the local community, with an emphasis on area youth involved with livestock and farming. That was nice to see! Couldn't help but notice the overall star average of Bob's is rather low. We are hopeful they can work on bumping it up and we are rooting for them because we believe in locally owned restaurants and businesses. Go Bob's Cafe! read more

Traveling through to Spokane and stopped here for breakfast. We ordered the #3 and added 2 pancakes. Our server was great- attentive and had the entire room to the right. She kicked butt for only one person! The food was fine (hash is very salty), however for ONE meal and one coffee we were charged 24$ and some change....... one meal. I was in complete shock and so was the table right next to us who was questioning their bill loudly enough so we could hear. The menu needs some work. Maybe add prices for add ons or maybe give people more options for breakfast as it was limited. We couldn't finish what we were given and we don't like wasting food. The service was great, the staff is welcoming, respectful and cheerful! Overall I did enjoy their company and brief exchanges! The Eggs Benedict however has so far been the worst I have ever had. Which is typically my consistent default. This being my first time I have refused to finish my meal is a glaring case and point. The hash browns had a delicious outer crunch and expected hue but the facade was broken after the first bite, mush, a pudding might be a better description. My last hope was for the eggs. But unfortunately I was disappointed again, the ham was seemingly pre-sliced/pre cooked. The English muffin was again seemingly bought from a nearby store. Based on all the reviews I've seen (well, 47...not like I'm expecting a diner in the middle of nowhere to have a ton), seems like the food can be hit or miss. Not only did did we have to wait an hour for our meals in a restaurant that wasn't busy, the steak and burger were supposed to be med rare and medium and when we got them. They were cooked beyond oblivion. Honestly the worst burger I have ever had. Was hard like a hockey puck, charred. Do not recommend, you are better off going with gas station food. read more

Very friendly. Always asking if we were going okay and if she can refill our coffee. Our glasses were never empty Huge portions for the price. Friendly, efficient service, the prices were more than reasonable, and we all three enjoyed everything we ordered. ( Club sandwich on croissant, waffles with sausage patties, and your basic hashbrowns and eggs with gravy...and they had a really lovely blackberry syrup :) ) Plenty of everything, and the staff was on the ball with the coffee refills. I had the senior chicken strips and fries. The strips were obviously frozen and of Walmart quality. The fries were also frozen (in Grant County?). The tarter sauce was terrible. My wife had the grilled turkey sandwich. It had a kind of funny (not fresh taste). My wife thought that her sandwich came with lettuce and tomato. When it didnt my wife called the waitress over to tell that my wife thought the sandwich came with L&T. The waitress, instead of saying that the menu did not call for L&T and offering to bring some, goes and gets the menu and show my wife that it did not have L&T. "Ok" my wife says, "may I have some L&T?" Off the waitress goes and a few minutes later she brings a plate with some kind of wilty looking lettuce (no tomato). Then when the bill comes, we see they had charged us 75 cents for the lettuce. No big deal but definitely not customer friendly. Not worth it. The food is extremely overpriced for what your get. The chicken strips looked the the ones served at a high school cafeteria. The French dip is so sad. You get a few pieces of dry meat in between a even sadder roll. BUT worst of all is the Caesar salad. They use iceberg lettuce mix that must of been 3 days old because the lettuce what so soggy. The chicken on the salad was completely unseasoned and over cooked. They charge 15.00 dollars and the salad didn't even come with crouton?? Save your time and money; go somewhere else. Support your local business! It's the American thing to do. We read most your reviews, and rather than finding the nearest exit we opted to give them a chance. I'm glad we did. Husband ordered the Tuna Melt, I ordered the BLT, not gourmet nor from my kitchen, but it was good. The fries were not greasy and the sandwiches were tasty. What surprised us the most was the quickness in serving our meal. A lot of the bad reviews mention lengthy delivery of the order. Was it during rush hour? Was the restaurant slammed at the time? Hmmmm... just wondering. Furthermore, we like real cream an honey in our coffee, all we had to do was ask...yay! One negative. The bathrooms needed considerable amount of attention. On a recent trip up Highway 17, I needed some Yelp to find a hearty breakfast. At the urging of Georgia's review, I had to stop at Bob's. This place was exactly what I was hoping for, CLASSIC diner fare. I ordered a sausage and cheese omelet and added mushrooms. I substituted a pancake for the toast/hashbrown combo - and I am here to tell you, I could not finish. The omelet was perfectly cooked; the cheese and sausage melted tastefully with the fresh mushrooms. The pancake was definitely homemade, not a frozen rubbery wonder from the chain restaurant across the street. My waitress was friendly and efficient; my coffee was always full, but she never once bothered me with too many questions to check in on me. Before I left, I bought a few treats for the road. They have GINORMOUS cookies, brownies, and rice krispie treats for just $1.75. Overall, this was a great 'travel' experience. Great service, classic taste, big portions, and friendly service. This is a nice stop, they have free magazines and newspapers and roomy booths to relax. The wings were a no go. No sauce, no spice at all, just fried wings with ranch sauce. Disappointing. The cheeseburger was good! Or maybe I was just hungry. Came with legitimate toppings, fresh onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a tasty 1000 island type of sauce. I also got a side salad. Which was iceberg, croutons and ranch. Pretty plain, but it was perfect to me. The more I think about it, the more I loved that ranch. Wish I knew what it was. My father and I went for dinner last night. Normally we only have breakfast, but it was a prime rib night. We both ordered a 10oz cut with a baked potato and salad. Pretty hard to mess up. First, the salad was nasty iceberg lettuce that was discolored. But after the first bite I realized they don't spin it after washing! I had a soupy salad and couldn't even deal with it. The waitress was inexperienced and brought us our prime rib, but didn't clear the salad plates, ok, I can deal it isn't a fine dining place. The medium rare cuts were ice cold! My dad wasn't even given a cm of Au jus. So we asked for more. 15 mins. for her to bring it out. The plate came with vegetables. First time trying bobs and unfortunately the experience wasn't a good one. Dirtiest bathroom and floors I've seen in a restaurant in a long time. On top of that, it took over an hour to get breakfast and the food was not good. French toast was cold and the biscuits and gravy was the so bland.
