Nasty food all around. Sysco-type. Had the chicken alfredo, came ice-cold with tasteless chicken, watery white sauce, and nasty frozen veggies. Gross clam chowder with a greenish tint. Three adults and five children all very hungry. and the world's nicest waitress. The menu had many kids items and senior dishes. They allowed substitutions and happily brought extra plates for the children who shared. The prices were very very reasonable. Curly fries rock. read more

Bob's Cafe is terrible! Over an hour to wait for food. When we asked the waitress she was rude. We stopped because it was right off the highway and thought it would be a quick and good. We were wrong on both accounts service was not quick and food was not good - if heading west keep driving to the Perkins in Ellensburg, WA. Terrible service, waited over an hour and a half for our food. We were sat after only 5 min to get seated with no warning the kitchen was behind and waited over an hour and half. Servers acted like we were crazy for inquiring. When our food came, it was wrong, cold, and the staff was less than gracious. The entire restaurant cleared and empty in the time we were sat and waited for our food. It's totally understandable the business get behind and have off days, however the server told us, "yeah, it's always like this... It's a Sunday" ahhhh okkaayyy. Now we know. I'm used to working in restaurants and I wasn't greeted properly, my food was served to another guest, then when I DID get my food, it was cooked wrong after 20 or so minutes after they said they would have it out to me, sirloin med. rare, not sirloin med. Disappointing says it all. Waitress never took our drink order till we asked, after two tries we gave up on wanting a long island iced tea. The kids pizza was tasteless and gave our son an upset stomach. The spaghetti was mediocre at best and the garlic toast was simply that, not french bread just regular white bread with garlic butter. We have been stopping at bobs for a long time. The food has always been okay and seemed better than fast food. We stopped there this last Sunday morning and it was terrible, Food was just okay, service was poor. Took us over an hour to get our food after we ordered! Guess we will keep on going! Went to eat at Bob's today, my husband and I were looking to try something new, first our waitress seemed like she was either tired or wasn't interested in being at work, no greeting, no smile, we just got a " you know what you wanna get?".( Her attitude did get a little better towards the end of our visit) We ordered the steak sandwich, It was awful, just a dry flavorless piece of steak on dry toast, under the bread (not on the "sandwich") was dry looking onion, pickles, and a awkward piece of lettuce. The food was not bad, but it was certainly nothing to write home about. We had breakfast and the biscuits and gravy was canned white gravy with slices of sausage on top with hard, dense biscuits to finish it off. The omelette was not bad, but nothing special either. Went to bobs tonight for dinner with a friend. Upon arrival the service was speedy but it took a while for out actual waitress to get to us. She was new so no big deal. We put our orders in and ordered an appetizer which came with our meal instead of before. The chicken strips and French fries were like warm at best. My chef salad was a bunch of wilted iceberg lettuce with sliced tomato and chunks of ham with Kraft singles cheese on top. Needless to say I will not be going back there. I give it one star cause we talked to the manager and she comped our food. But only after telling us it was a"struggle". Very disappointed in what is supposedly the best diner in moses lake. I used to come here for the fried chicken. It used to be a plate full of large, VERY crispy chicken. Those days are gone. I've ordered the fried chicken the past two times hoping things would have changed. NOT! Small, itty bitty pieces of chicken with a greasy, crunchless crust is what you get now. My family and I love this place, the best veggie omlette ever made! The coffee is very good and the staff are very friendly. The price is fair for the food you get. The amount of food you get is very filling! The hashbrowns are fantastic! After reading some of the other reviews it is apparent to me that it is all a matter of oppinion. Went for a family breakfast Sunday and waited over an hour for our food. Aparrently they let the first round get cold while waiting on a plate. They served all the adults first and we waited for our 5yo to get hers 5 minutes later. I give it 2 stars because I have had good experiences in the past, but will have to go to the chain restaurant across the street next time unfortunately as I would put the food on par with them.When I complained to the manager, there was no apology or comps, just an aknowlegdement that they screwed up. read more

Bob's was recommended by a close friend as one of the best. Well...not for us!! The restaurant was packed and appeared to be in chaos. It took over an Hour..yes.an hour to get our food!! AND..when we did get it, my hamburger was Missing the top bun AND there was a very LONG hair in my food..yuk!! I can say NEVER again....4 different meals......not one was good. Shrimp fried so far beyond they turned to dust....the rest of the seafood platter was awful. A omelet and hashbrowns that tasted bad, toast not even toasted. Turkey sandwich that had been thrown together, like a after thought.....a burger that had bacon on it that had been cooked hard right to the burned stage.....fries that were not even 3/4 way cooked. Not one of the 4 dinners were finished, no comment from waitress even after sending shrimp back. And my last gripe.....fill my drink glass!!! Only been there once and will never go back. First off, I had to wipe all of the crumbs off of the seat before I could sit down. The server came about 5 minutes later and finally wiped off the table top which had been cleared of dishes but still had crumbs and wet glass rings from the last person's drinks. We finally started to order and when the server saw me looking at the list of milkshakes, this happened: She: "You don't want a milkshake, do you?" Me: "Why, what's the matter with them?" She: "Well, we only have chocolate and vanilla." Me: "Then I'll just have water." Stupid woman! She just lost 4 orders for $4 milkshakes because she's obviously too lazy to make them and so she lost the tip on $16 (about $3) -- and how many times does she do that in a year?? She also never came back to check on whether our food was OK, or to refill our drinks. She didn't do any favors for the restaurant owner, and I don't care to ever go back. read more

Over 45 minutes to get our food, no special requests, all right off the menu. There is nothing special about it, in fact low quality for a diner even. Crinkle cut fries that seemed to come from the freezer section of the grocery store, a party melt that was not anything like you would expect, seemed like a frozen patty like McDonald size and quality, thin bread and not much for grilled onions. Taste is what you would expect from these ingridients. Definitely would not stop here again....I eat healthy and rarely out so when I do, I want it to be good. read more

Great service. Great food. We had the hot turkey sandwich. They use the "real deal" turkey like you would have at Thanksgiving -- not the processed stuff you get at most restaurants. Their mashed potatoes and gravy were also the real deal. My mom said, it tasted like Thanksgiving -- only better because you don't have to cook it all day. Bob stopped by to see how everything was. After reading all the great reviews we decided to try this for breakfast. That morning, they were incredibly busy but we were seated right away. However, it then took at least an hour to receive our food. The food was pretty basic, no frills, nothing fancy. I ordered eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toast. You can't really mess that up. Everything was just okay (except for the toast which was cold & overly dry). It seemed on the expensive side for this type of place. Our waitress was SO busy and in SUCH a rush that it was rather unnerving and took away from the entire experience. I'd have much rather waited to be seated and had someone who had the time to listen to our order. The benefit is that they are open 24-hrs (I'll bet the food seems way better at 3am). Also, they have a separate bar area so that's kind of unique. We didn't go back the next morning, but instead were much better satisfied at the chain restaurant down the street. read more

I have been eating at Bobs for 20 years and recently the quality has declined severely. The French dip had one slice of roast beef, and the mushroom omelette had raw mushrooms on top only. When I mentioned it to the manager there was no acknowledgment to the fact that the meal was very sub standard. I would have been much better off going across the street to sherries or Denny's..... which is a shame as Bob's café has been an institution for years in moses lake. read more

Must have been an off day or something after reading some of the other reviews. The waitress brought me a budwieser or some equally crappy beer, definitely was not the beer I had ordered. She seemed as though she had better things to do than wait on us. Aside from the poor service my burger was raw, I thought it was going to run away from me. Awful food. Stopped there this evening on the way back home to Seattle. I had no expectations of a gourmet meal - just basic diner food. I ordered the tuna melt and subbed a dinner salad for the fries. The salad was sent back because it was so wet the dressing mixed with water on the bottom of the bowl creating a watery iceberg lettuce soup. The replacement salad was drier, but still soaked with so much dressing, I didn't eat it. The tuna melt sandwich was just gross: soaked with mayonnaise, dripping out of the butter-soaked bread like clam chowder. The tomato on the sandwich was mostly white (that core stuff you see inside an unripe tomato) and tasted like water. I told the waitress it was "awful." She was sweet, apologized and asked if I would like to speak to a manager, but I said no - I wasn't in the mood to talk to a manager . I was surprised that the sandwich I sent back to the kitchen was still on my bill. My husband's "Classic Turkey Dinner" was south of mediocre. We won't be back. read more
