In less than 10 minutes, I was told that the battery is fine, but the alternator is faulty. To my surprise, I was not charged for the diagnostic check that they performed. In my mind, that is unheard of. (So, just for fun, I called another auto shop and asked how much they charge for diagnosing a "battery light" on the dashboard. They quoted me $180.)
