For starters, I stoped by randomly to see what the menu was about and was instantly impressed by the selection of both small bites, and main dishes. The corn was absolutely nothing short of impressive, as well as the chicken skewers that blew me away! Delilah had amazing suggestions and guided us through the menu. I ate the 2 Kings as my main and my friend had the PadSee Ew. The presentation alone was very vibrant, elevated and was very easy on the eyes. I later received a call from my friend who ate with me as he reminded me that he hadn't enjoyed enjoyed a memorable Thai meal in quite some time and that he had ranted to his co workers about his meal. Was super excited to try the Taiwan-based Bobo Thai restaurant in Silver Lake! We made a reservation ahead of time for our Friday evening dinner. There was a good amount of availability early in the evening, but the restaurant definitely started filling up later in the night. We were blown away by how spacious and beautifully decorated the restaurant was - I loved all the pops of pinks! There's also a lovely patio in the back. Service was very attentive as well and all the dishes were beautifully presented. What we tried: - #4 Easy lover - a pad thai with green curry. I love how they have different versions of pad thai. The pad thai green combo was yummy - definitely a good choice if you enjoy curry noodles - #6 the 2am - drunken noodles. Definitely hit the spot and had quick the kick! - Green papaya salad - can customize the level of spice. A perfect refreshing pairing with the rest of our meal - Bobo shrimp toast - comes with 2 pieces and their house plum sauce, super yummy and a unique an fun dish!! I'll start with the pros: - the space is beautiful (both the indoor dining area and the back patio) - the food we ordered was delicious (garden pad thai, grilled pineapple, and green beans with garlic) - the staff was friendly, and the bathrooms smelled like lemongrass and were immaculate. Cons: - there aren't too many options that are actually vegetarian. I believe there was one pad thai, one noodle, and one rice bowl that were veggie or vegan. There were more options in the small bites section, but it was a bummer that the green papaya salad didn't have a non-fish-sauce version. - both cocktails were...fine. They each sounded more delicious and flavorful than they were in the glass. So that was $36 for an ok set of drinks. - while dining on the back patio, there was an off-leash dog running from table to table, and another party had their dog's front paws on the dining table! I love love love dogs, but not at a nicer restaurant and certainly not on the table itself. If the staff noticed, they didn't say anything. - the server really stumbled over trying to explain that there could be cross-contamination in the kitchen when I said I was vegetarian. I said it wasn't an allergy but that I would only order items marked as vegetarian. The whole exchange was odd - he mentioned twice that the kitchen was small, so if I had a food allergy, I'd think twice about going there. - and, womp womp, both my friend and I felt tummy ill within two hours of dinner and both were sick overnight and into the next day. read more

By far one of the best Thai restaurants in LA! I was out with my family and randomly came across this hidden gem. Not knowing they had just opened not too long ago. The service was phenomenal. Our waiter was great but can't remember his name! The food and drinks were amazing. I had an espresso martini and was more than satisfied. The pad see ew was so delicious, also the pork belly skewer. They had a special that day where you get a free beer based on the order. Beer was good and smooth. I highly recommend and will definitely come back! The food is so rich in flavor!!!! I came across this place via an Instagram ad promoting a new restaurant in Silverlake and when my friend said that she could get reservations on a Friday (2 weeks after opening) afternoon I said let's go! There wasn't much about it online so I figured it was like a quick service restaurant. For 6:30pm on a Friday I was surprised how little people were there. However, I was pleasantly surprised that you're actually seated and a waitress comes to order your food. They also have a back patio, which has pretty cute vibes. I was a little disappointed with the food. It was good, just not what I was expecting. Think Thai curry fusion. I came here yesterday and wow what a dining experience! The food is so flavorful and such a unique take on Thai food. The flavors are vibrant and the food is cooked to perfection, the Two Kings was my order and it blew me out the water! Probably one of my new favorite Thai spots to hit in LA! The chicken wings are a must, especially with their lime sauce they bring to the table, and the pad Thai wasn't too sweet and had the right amount of seasoning. I'm an old fashioned kind of guy and their old fashioned was . Our server Andy was very attentive and quick and the manager Daisy was friendly and hospitable. Absolutely incredible meal and amazing service! Went on a double date with friends trying to support the new neighborhood spot but not sure what to expect. Every dish was better than the last - tofu app, fries, green beans, papaya salad, and pineapple were all amazing apps. 2 level spice on the papaya had a decent kick so 4 would probably be fairly spicy. Yes! We love our Thai restaurants in Silverlake and it would only take a place that is terrific to meet the standards of the other two beloved establishments... and this place ROCKS! We added some fried soft shell crabs to our pad see yew and it was pad see you on cloud nine! So glad this space has a restaurant worthy of the location and space. My only complaint - put some edgier art on the walls. Otherwise the music was cool, the outdoor area has great vibes too, the service is on point. Best mango sticky rice I've ever had. We were shopping in Silverlake and happened upon Bobo Thai. What a treat! We wanted a light lunch and decided on the Shrimp Toast and The Easy Lover Pad Thai. The Shrimp Toast, along with the sweet dipping sauce, was delicious. The Easy Lover, with it's green curry was fresh and tasty, with just the right amount of heat. Only one bummer - we live in Sacramento and have to wait until our next trip South to enjoy BoboThai. read more
