The sweetest berries! I stopped here on my way to Northern California to bring some famous Ventura/Oxnard strawberries to my extended family. I found Bobalu because I was driving through Ventura early in the morning and Bobalu opens at 7:00 AM where most berry stands do not open until 10 or 11:00! I am so glad I tried this stand! The berries were the best. Perfectly ripe. Of course it is the peak of the season right now. The man at the stand was kind and helpful. I appreciate their early opening time. I bought a 32 oz. package of Bobalu strawberries because they looked so red and ripe on the outside. They were mostly white on the inside and hardly had any flavor. I doubt if I will ever try buying Bobalu strawberries again! read more

I purchased "Fresh" RED Strawberries from Walmart, in Owasso, Oklahoma on March 22, 2025 for $5.84. They are beautiful on the outside. The outside only! The inside of every single strawberry is stark white! And tasteless! That means they have been chemically ripened! It should be against the law to do this and sell them! Plenty of parking right next to the stand. They offer beautiful chocolate covered berries that you can pre order. I ordered Chocolate peanut butter strawberries for my family. The Strawberries were huge, love the chocolate but you really couldn't taste the peanut butter. I don't know where to start, other than their customer service, and the quality of the chocolate-covered strawberries were above and beyond what I expected. My husband had ordered the chocolate-covered strawberries for my baby shower as a surprise treat, and it was a last minute purchase. The baby shower was literally the next evening. He had received excellent communication from the manager, letting us know that the strawberries would be ready in time for my baby shower, and where to pick them up. We had absolutely no problems; in fact our order was handled so perfectly, even with the rush. We were able to pick them up in time, and when we opened up the boxes at home to view the strawberries, oh my word..... they looked absolutely better than what you saw in the pictures. Our baby shower guests were loving the strawberries! They kept commenting on how beautiful the strawberries were, much too pretty to eat. And not just the visual beauty of them, but the size and quality were excellent!!! Nice and sweet; and each was decorated beautifully. Even though we had lots of other treats at the shower, these strawberries were certainly one of the main highlights of the evening, and really made my night special because of how Bobalu Berries went above and beyond to make sure that our order was done properly, and on time for our event, and they looked amazing!! Strawberry festival in Oxnard means $15 admission, fare, expensive strawberries, and crazy parking. I've tried all the strawberries and honestly this place is solid gold. I was greeted by Dave and let me tell you he is the sweetest and most genuine guy I've ever had the chance to talk to. He let me try the strawberries and suggested on which ones would be best. I was originally going to buy two flats but ended up buying a lot more for family and friends. I'm glad I found this place and am looking forward to going again sometime soon for more! I really wish I took some pictures but I was too busy admiring his cute puppy. Btw, he was even kind enough to help me load all the strawberries in my car. Top notch service! read more

Wednesday I bought a 1/2 a flat of Jones' Bobalu berries on Vineyard. I gave some away and fixed some for dinner. The ones at dinner were not good. I threw the fixed berries that were left into the trash. Today I took the rest of them back to Jones. The response: no response. What should the possible responses have been: 1) Replacement. 2) Money back. 3) We're so sorry about that. Will I ever make the trip over there again to purchase their berries? Just wanted to post a quick update letting you all know that I was finally contacted a few months ago by the manager Gary, with a very sincere and sweet apology. Gary assured me that their customer service has been revamped and things like that will not be happening again at Bobalu berries. Gary offered me and a few friends to try their berries for free, so I could finally experience them. Although my first experience was an absolute horrible one, Gary made my next one great. My berries and friends berries arrived on time and were so delicious! If only this was my experience the first time, Bobalu would of had 5 stars. For my next baby shower I am going to try again and order. I'm sure I wont be let down this time. Thank you Gary! :) read more

Stopped to purchase strawberries to give this place a try, based on yelp review, although I have my usual place in Oxnard. I bought a flat for $22.00 but many of the strawberries underneath the top were going bad although the guy that sold them said they were in the cold box. The strawberries weren't sweet and many were rotten underneath the top layer. This place is not worth the drive. Guy that worked the stand had the personality of cardboard. I'm going back to my usual place, strawberries are sweet and the people are much nicer. read more

first time eating from Bobalu's at the citrus festival in Santa Paula,CA today we tried the: chocolate dipped cheese cake and chocolate dipped bacooon the cheesecake is from "The Cheesecake Factory" and it wasnt too cold when we got it, but the filling was creamy and crust was okay; dipped in chocolate made it rich and extra sinful ;) then the chocolate dipped bacon; first time havig this and omg was it amazing! i wish the bacon was bigger and thick cut like the ones the fairs usually have, but this was thing and small; still good though for my first time trying it, it was literally sweet savory and salty!! but bobalus is expensive, its was $6.75 for the cheescak and $5.00 for the bacon...total of $11.75! that is kinda ridiculous! considering the bacon wasnt top notch and the chocolate was just melted hersheys although i would pay that at the ventura or oc fair, at a festival like this maybe not again. i felt special too since i got the last cheesecake :) read more

I ordered these amazing dipped delights of heaven for my office team on Valentines Day 2015. Upon FedEx delivery, I found the box to be at the perfect temperature and the bserries looked better in person then the picture on the website. Not only were they the perfect temperature the berries were firm fresh and full of flavor, perfect for all the different toppings I ordered. I can't say how well they lasted in the refrigerator because they were so delicious they wasn't any left.
