We stopped here for boba on our way home just to take a break from the long drive, and I honestly wasn't expecting too much from this place in the middle of Modesto.. but it was surprisingly not bad at all! They had a variety of flavors for their milk teas and smoothies. It was strange how small their menu was though, on tiny photo frame-sized flyers on the counter...maybe they're still working on that. I asked what the "Nagasaki" milk tea tasted like, assuming it must be in the same "flavor family" as the Hokkaido and Okinawa milk teas popularly seen in other shops. The guy told me he honestly has never tried it. Even if you haven't tried it, you should probably know what the flavor is at least... our drinks came out and mine was without boba despite paying for it, so I went back to the counter and he said that I did not order it. He checked the receipt again and apologized and made my drink again, and even let us keep the first one without boba. The Nagasaki milk tea tasted really good! The boba itself wasn't the best but I did enjoy the flavor of the milk tea. It's not as sweet as your typical Hokkaido or Okinawa but still has hints of those flavors. The watermelon milk tea was also really good - although you can tell it's artificial flavor, it was pretty good and not too artificially sweet. read more

Have been here a couple times, both times have been okay. Came in today 08/01/19 at 6:40. Ordered 3 items, a smoothie, milk tea, and a mango, I was called up for 2 of my items and went back to ask about my other drink the cashier told me I should've ordered the drink when I ordered my other items when I specifically asked for it, i was not given a receipt and I am currently still waiting for it is now 7:16 never coming back again. and the correct way to have dealt with the complain wouldn't have been to tell someone to order the item when they ordered everything else, maybe try apologizing. They also made the milk tea wrong. read more

It was my first time coming to Bobalicious and from the start the two ladies that helped me were extremely friendly and welcoming. I ordered the hot Cheeto corn, the mangonada, and the mango and it was DELICIOUS! Even my mom who is extremely picky loved it. Totally recommend coming here! read more

1st time here: The hot Cheetos corn is to die for, been craving this spot for a while now and it's everything I've expected. Apparently I got the last corn of the day since they had ran out, thank goodness because if my pregnant ass got dressed and left my air conditioning home to come here and no corn was given to me I would had flipped my wig lol on my husband of course not the employees. I also had the cookies and cream rolled up Ice cream and it was amazing! I am one happy lady and so is this baby inside of me... read more

Tried this place for the first time, yesterday, after stalking their Instagram for a few months... It was a little bit of a let down but I'd still come again. I got the strawberry yum yum ice cream and it was delicious. I'm usually not much of an ice cream person, but I ate it all. And I also got the small taro tea with boba. I wasn't impressed by it; I've had better, and didn't appreciate the fake powdery flavor. The overall atmosphere of the place is super cute and a great hang out spot. My only real complaints are there is no AC- Just a huge fan in the back of the room. And they don't list prices on the menu, so you don't know how much you're paying until you get the receipt. Other than that, I might come again, when the weather cools off. read more

The boba is so sweet and fresh it brings a smile to my face. The lychee pearls are super sweet it will make your cheeks tinGle! The inside is neat and the staff is friendly, no complaints here. read more

Went in there the other day , the girl's there seemed to have had a rough day or something, they're attitudes sucked, it was my first time there, had no help with the menu, they were almost completely out of everything, even boba!!! So I got a mangoniada which is pictured with pieces of fruit in the drink, I received nothing but chamoy and the damn slushy... probably won't wast my money there no more. But the hot Cheetos elote is worth the try, but there is better places for hot cheeto corn, with more appealing faces to look at read more

I was super satisfied with my order today. Although the cantaloupe milk tea was out, they were kind enough to call me about my doordash order to have it replaced. I also got the hot cheeto elote and it was amazinggg I loved the crunch of the outside. My mom got a pina colada milk tea and asked for a splash of Tajín which they provided. We both will definitely order again in the future. read more

Good drinks still continue to purchase from them even though one day when it was raining and my daughter was waiting for me she was waiting inside and they told her she had to leave I don't like that but I do still purchase their drinks because it's the only boba in town. Really wish they had better customer service. read more

Couldn't wait to give this place a try and oh my ... mouthwatering to think about the delicious rolled ice cream I had. ( In love with the Coco ) I believe was the name of it, I highly recommend it! Such friendly staff and was even asked if I would like to watch my ice cream be made. I also had the Hot Cheetos Elote and I was SO impressed, it was warm and just all around amazing. Very clean place and smells good as well, nicely decorated and again wonderful staff. Can't wait to go back! read more

So cute and great desserts. I've had better rolled ice cream. They used syrup for the strawberry flavor as it was not real fruit, and the whipped cream and confetti made it super sweet, which was a bit too much for me, but still good. Loved the wallpaper and all the desserts they have to offer! read more

Excited to try a new boba tea place.. the place was cute but kind of empty looking. Not much by decoration around store or on the walls. There was decent options and some pastry. I got jackfruit milk tea, my sister got taro smoothie and my daughter got taro milk tea. We also got some macaroons and cassava pudding things. I was pretty disappointed.. for the most part it was ok but the flavor was so mute.. I could barely taste the jackfruit flavor nor the taro. The macaroons had no flavor either and the cassava cake again no flavor and worse the next day it was covered in mold!! I don't think I'll be coming back any time soon! But the cup my drink came in was very cute!! And the woman working was very nice.. read more

This was our first time here and we ordered a couple things. What lured us in was the tamarind covered mango. We ordered a tamarind covered mango and apple, we also ordered 3 macaroons chocolate, raspberry and mocha (mocha was our favorite) my husband had a green apple slush(very refreshing) and I ordered a mocha with reg boba(not too sweet, which gives them extra points in my book) . Everything was great except the apple we couldn't even taste it. When we cut it up to share we noticed it was bad inside that's why they get 4 stars from us... We might give it a try next time and have them cut it there just to make sure... Will definitely be going back for some boba. read more

I came to business when they first opened in Ceres. Loved everything I got. I've purchased the rolled ice cream, the hot Cheeto elote, the boba in the light build, and the macaroons. Location says Modesto but it's Ceres. Not a local so if that's the same thing to other people then no biggie! Loved the inside! Nicely decorated, music playing, and very organized/Clean. I ordered the tasty taro and it was the BEST taro ice cream I've ever had! Definitely coming again. Not sure if who was talking to me was the owner or not but very friendly, made conversation which I enjoy. Can't wait to bring more of my friends to try this place. read more

This is one of my top favorite Boba places I've tried and I will continue to make some routinely visits ! I'm very picky when it comes to flavor, variety, and let me say this again...FLAVOR! Their variety of desserts is phenomenal and even includes regular/creative food items like Hot Cheeto elote(Which I will be back to try myself!) This stuff is as good as it looks guys. If you haven't stopped by or curious on trying something new..this is the place to stop by. The ladies in the front who helped me out were amazing as well, very homely and welcoming experience. First timers! Location: Near Hatch and Mitchell. Next to Sabaidee which is an also tasty place. It was nice inside. Spacious with plenty of seating for you to enjoy your treats. The menu had plenty to choose from, mostly drinks and some eats. The staff was friendly and the environment was chill. What we got: Two fruit teas (cold) and one banh mi. I've never had a fruit tea but I must say it was enjoyable. I like the fact that they add jelly, fruits and wasn't greedy about the portions that went into the tea. The banh mi was good although they should consider looking into get bread with better texture to compliment the deli and veggies. Other than that I'll definitely go back to try other items. 4 stars for the banh mi not being on point in my opinion. read more

If I could rate 0/5 star I would. I've been coming here since they opened back In 2017. This used to be my favorite spot. But now this place has seriously increased in popularity & an attitude problem. I went in the other day for the first time in months with my boyfriend. We ordered our drinks but I was still looking at what to order because they had run out of the Thai tea. "Are you ready to order" was literally all I kept hearing. While two girls had gotten two larges. Of the same one I had ordered yet they were some how "out of tea" how ironic that they would be out of tea when there literally known for teas. "Milk teas" to be exact. But these two girls were rude. One of them was so focused in flirting with a customer that's why the orders were taking forever while the other one just stood there for a good while. We waited for our drinks while they were on the counter the whole time. I was watching them and they didn't budge to tell us they were our drinks because there was people in front of us. I waited and our "blended drinks" were more like water downed drinks. So I decided to call and the lady "Tina" with an attitude. Described them as one being Mexican & one being Asian. Said "I can't do anything if you don't tell me which one it is." Mind you I'm not sure which one was Mexican and which one was Asian. Because they probably could play off as sisters. I told her "the shorter one". She went about saying "they are both short" acting as stupid as the word dumbass. so I said "again the shorter one" because she was shorter she then said "there both the same size" I then said so your not going to do anything? She said "no I can't" I found this very interesting. Because 1 our drinks were shit. 2 the boba was so stuck together it made you not even want the drink. 3 the customer service was completely unacceptable. I'm sad that I'm even writing this review. But the lady on the phone "Tina" seemed to not give a shit. So why should I? Please bobashitlis if you could improve on your customer service & hire new people that would be great. And another thing I'm not coming for every person who works there at this point. Just the ones who worked on 3/27 around 8pm & Tina with an attitude. I don't lie about food places because I'm a foodie but when your as rude as Tina you ruin it for everyone. If voices could kill I would be 6 feet under. As for the drinks they got thrown away. And there not the cheapest place to go to. When we went back they were closed so yeah I couldn't get a refund that night. And when I called to complain Tina went all in. Protecting the employees with shit customer service won't do you any good Tina the ticking bomb. Try hearing people out. And actually offering them a better experience for next time. Thank you. Off to king fu tea I go. read more

First time i went was fine it was a woman and a little girl working and they got my order right. Second time it was a man and a little girl and they got my order wrong three times. First time i ordered a peach smoothie and mango boba and then they gave me a strawberry smoothie with these brown jellies and it was disgusting. When i saw it i could tell that it was wrong and they told me it was a strawberry smoothie with strawberry boba, but thats not what it was lol they couldnt even tell me what they made. Second time i ordered the same thing and they gave a peach smoothie with strawberry boba, i wanted mango boba but i took it because i was tired of waiting for them to make it. Idk if they didnt have mango boba or something but they just couldnt get it right lol. It wasnt busy either so idk what the deal was. Customer service is lacking. This was our first visit there and it took 25 minutes to get three things: honeydew slush, s'mores crepes, and vanilla ice cream without fruits. They showed lack of organization and competency when it came to customer service and providing a decent product. The honeydew slush was a bit sour. The s'mores crepe was diabetes in each bite. A crepe is a flat desert with filing. As for the vanilla ice cream, they lost our ticket and the girl that was doing the ice cream could careless. She ended up finishing the order after us which had three ice creams rather than interjecting our order since we were there prior. It gave the first time visitor the sense that it was being ran by high school students that was there because they needed a dreary job. read more
