I never thought I would be writing such a negative review, but I have been given no choice. I'm a business owner myself, and I try my hardest every single day to keep my customers happy and to only get perfect reviews. So far so good. But here's a story for you.
My family has been going to this mechanic with our 4 cars since they opened a few years ago. Their customer service was never great, but they always knew what they were doing, it is a nice, clean shop and it's located only a few blocks away.
Last weekend my brother took his car for an oil change and a tire rotation. Somehow one of the technicians installed the oil filter incorrectly. On Monday morning, my brother was driving to work and his car eventually died, the oil was all over the engine bay, since the filter sort of points up at an angle. My brother called towing right away and had the car taken to Bobak's.
By the time my brother arrived at Bobak's, their technicians reinstalled a new filter, which was sparkly clean, and they made a hole in the back of the oil pan, and said that my brother must have ran over something (driving backwards, I assume), and the oil magically flew up from the oil pan onto the top of the engine.
An argument escalated pretty quickly and the owner, Paul, kicked them out of his shop and made physical threats.
The car is getting assessed at another shop right now, and the new mechanic confirmed that a hammer had to be used to make the repeated dents on the oil pan.
I think it goes without saying, DO NOT GO THERE! read more
