I'm generally not a fan of chucks of goo in my drink, but my daughter loves boba! We saw some food trucks in a lot and stopped for a bite. She spotted this place immediately and ran over to check out their options. Their menu was expansive for such a small spot. She chose a peach smoothy with 'crystal' boba and said it was the best she's had yet. Pretty impressive from a connoisseur like her. I actually liked it myself. When you want boba, you get boba! I came to try the food carts but once I saw this truck I had to get a drink to pair with it. Boba is especially refreshing on a hot day like today. I got a peach mango with the honey boba in it. I have not been adventurous enough to try the flavored pearls but they offer a variety of different flavors. They have the boba offered in different ways, blended, iced, with milk. They also have teas which you can have unsweetened or flavors added in. The owner is really cool and friendly. Unfortunately they were out of a popular item the corn on the Cobb with seasoning . Very few times have we encountered such poor quality of food at such a high price. We paid around $40 for one plate of poke, three corn on the cob and three Boba drinks. The tuna poke Was questionable and even had some hues of Green on it, the corn on the cob absolutely Not good. Bobas were pretty good and doesn't have that artificial flavor. I had a green tea passion fruit with rainbow jelly. It probably lasted on 5 min. before it was all gone. Not bad for the only boba place in town and they work out of a food truck. read more

Bobablastic is the only food truck in the food pod that has steady hours and you can always count on them to be open. We moved to Newberg almost two years ago from Beaverton where there are a lot of place you can get bubble tea. Sadly in Newberg that was not case. We were stoked when Bobablastic opened. Since then we have been multiple times. Here and there we run in to a small issue like they didn't stir the drink but really that is it. We have had both hot and cold drinks as well as a variety of flavors. Personally my favorite is a iced Taro Milk Tea with Custard or Boba. My wife prefers green teas with popping boba. Customer service is normally very friendly. Occasionally the music is a little loud and it makes it hard to tell them your order but it's not that big of a deal to us. Guys this was sad. For starters- these were thee most expensive boba drinks I've ever purchased and I have a no tea badge from yell if you're picking up what I'm putting down. Truly shocking considering that the drinks were wrong and gross I think these are franchised so keep that in mind- bc one location that was in the parking lot of Washington square was so bomb. I enjoy the avocado smoothies so much, but they are pretty sweet. I usually have them leave out the extra scoop if white sugar and it's perfect! $6.15 is HIGH priced for what you get, but I love it so much I have it as a meal (it does have a whole avocado in it), so I justify it as lunch! My kid get the blended boba and love it, but they really LOVE sugar... They run of stuff from time to time which is frustrating, but not a deal breaker. read more

By my 5th time at Bobablastic I had ventured beyond my normal milk tea order. Anything other than milk tea is disgustingly artificial and way too sweet. Pineapple lemonade, mango boba, etc were all crystaly in texture and too sweet to finish. Stay away unless you order just a milk tea. Nice to have a boba tea place in Willamette Valley! The milk tea is good, but I would recommend asking for 50% sugar otherwise it's really sweet. There are hot, cold, tea and nondairy options. I have gotten Bubble Tea here about 4-5 times and each time it has been delicious! My favorite flavors are Milk Tea and Rose Creamy Tea! Also their Honey Boba is soft and fresh! It's GREAT to finally have a Bubble Tea place in Newberg P.S. I haven't tried their food yet. read more

I was not expecting this food cart in Newberg to have a vegan option, but I am so glad I asked! For a vegan option, I recommend ordering the tofu poke bowl with poke sauce, no fish eggs, no crab salad, no mayo, and asking for extra seaweed salad in place of the crab salad. After these modifications (which the kind employee was happy to make), the bowl was made up of: white rice, lots tofu with poke sauce (which is vegan), corn, avocado, seaweed salad, some dried seaweed, and cucumber. We got there around 2PM, went to the window to order that was open with no one inside. Then a girl with painted eyebrows gets into the truck and closes the window and says she is closed while on her phone. No explanation or anything so we left of course. I have to say I'm really disappointed. When this truck first came to Newberg it was awesome, but now I'm done giving it chances. Not only was our drink order wrong, but the poke bowls were terrible, especially for $12 a piece. Half my rice was overcooked and chewy and they were very stingy on the toppings. I basically paid for a bowl of old spicy rice, ate what little toppings were there then threw it out. If you eat here be prepared to pay a lot for very little. read more

Soooooo.. came to this place today craving a poke bowl before we even arrived, so we were pretty excited to see they had that as a food option. We immediately ordered the poke bowl they have. My partner went and got Thai food from another completely different food truck. I got my food very quickly. It came with rice, seaweed salad, ginger, corn, avocado, crab and poke. The presentation was okay, looking at it it looked good. But getting into it- the avocado on top was brown, the rice tasted old and was crunchy, the poke was warm!!! It's was disgusting, it made me feel like I was going to get sick off one bite.I'm from California and have eaten a lot of poke and poke bowls and this one was by far the worst one I've ever had, I hardly ate any of it. Not worst $10. Luckily my partners dish from another food truck was absolutely delicious and we were able to share, I didn't even want to take it back and get anything else from there and the young man working was on his phone the entire time. I came here a few times and all those time I was very satisfied. Today 08/02/2017 today was a white girl and it was the worst ever. First of all, she was full of attitude! She did not say any and just waited for us to talk. My sister in-law ordered a milk tea with boba and she was like "we don't have boba's today, it's too hot and I'm not going to make any boba' s." Okay? I get that it is very hot, but the extra attitude wasn't necessary. 2nd our drinks didn't come out right at all! I ordered a blended coconut drink and it taste like nothing but WATER! I also ordered two blended honeydew and they came out looking like melted slushies! My sister in law also ordered an iced milk tea and it came out with no ICE! Don't get the 9.50 teriyaki bowl....it was just one of those frozen bowls you can buy at your local winco or grocery store.
