Milk tea with boba and matcha foam
    Mystica M.

My absolute favorite boba shop! The quality is consistent! Boba is always fresh, sweet, and chewy. They have a decent sized menu, tons of boba other options if you don't like traditional, and different teas! I enjoy their seasonal menu a lot as well, when they have the strawberry matcha I'm in there at least once a week! I love the workers, it's always the same sweet lady every day, she is extremely kind, and very gracious! The price is incredible, I normally get a regular sized milk tea with boba and I pay about $5, it's about $1 more for the large.

Boba Cha is basically your family owned neighborhood boba shop. We stopped by for our single day in Cincinnati and weren't disappointed. We were intrigued by the Golden Tea - usually it refers to Golden Oolong, but it wasn't the case here. The cashier said it was lighter than black tea but more caffeine than oolong. We went ahead and got it. Golden Milk Tea, Large, Less Sweet (50%), w/ Boba - It actually has a light coffee flavor so I guess it might have been Oolong mixed with a small amount of coffee. The drink was perfect sweetness for us at 50%. The only issue was that the boba was quite soft. They did use a smaller type of boba than other boba shops, so perhaps it's just a characteristic of that type. I guess they kind of make up for it by giving you a LOT of boba. The drink was also very affordable at $5.70 - about a dollar less than most other places. I think it was a good drink in general and I would definitely go here again if I'm ever in town again.

The best boba place in Cincinnati. I am not exaggerating. The tea is all brewed fresh. The flavors are always the right amount of vivid and/or subtle. The people who work here are always so kind and helpful. And back to the boba - just absolutely delicious. Perfectly made, the right amount of chewy yet firm. There aren't a lot of places to sit down and wait, but that's how most boba places are in Cincinnati. I like the chalk board designs and the music that they play. If you have time to go here, I highly recommend it.

This is a little shop slightly removed from most of the Over the Rhine businesses in a more residential area. Nonetheless, they are able to offer a large menu, including various different ways of getting your tea, fruit, and soymilk as well as delicious toppings. You can do a milquetoast order like strawberry and banana or something more exotic like mango and lychee. What separates them from most bubble tea places is that they don't upcharge you for everything; mine was a delicious but also cost-efficient tea with melon-flavored popping boba. The menu was a bit confusing in terms of some of the special combinations, but I wouldn't mind coming back to figure it out.

This was the best Boba I've had. The woman that helped us, I believe is the owner, and she was very sweet and genuine. Her interaction and appreciation to every customer is something that you rarely see. My friend only speaks Spanish and when I attempted to translate a few words, she began speaking in Spanish to him. All around impressive woman and business owner and fantastic boba.

Boy you turn me like this. Just like you did with Diana Ross.

And if you wanna online date seniors, it's OUR TIME If you wanna only date the rich, BOURGEOIS TIME If you wanna do it drunk, STELLA ARTOIS TIME But if you want a lovely Boba, it's BOBA CHA TIME! And if I pull my d*** out then... oh crap I went too FAR TIME. WHAT So I finally had the chance to try Boba Cha. It has almost the identical same name as Cha Boba, which is my favorite bubble tea shop down in League City Texas. Anyway it was worth the wait! For two reasons. Well 3 actually because I exploded in the bathroom after holding my bladder for a hundred miles so that was worth a wait in a totally different way. But there were two really important ways that this place delighted me. First and foremost the drinks! I like the milk tea so much that even though I was only planning to get one drink I ended up buying three. I also got their sea salt coffee and their strawberry black tea. All of them were excellent and their Boba is sticky and sweet and perfect as well. Which I wasn't expecting. They really know how to make that stuff here. I actually didn't get boba in my strawberry drink even though I wanted it because a guy came in and was heartbroken that the last Boba had been sold. So I told them if they hadn't made my drink yet, which they hadn't, to go ahead and put that boba in his drink. I'm from out of town and can only come here once a year or so, and had never been before, so I think that was pretty nice of me, to give the regular the last boba. I think I made his day. She upgraded me to a large instead of giving me any kind of a refund but that's okay because these guys were super nice and their products are spectacular. And on the other note these are probably the most friendly people I've ever met in Cincinnati. I know that might not be saying much but they are really really good people. Both of these women felt like genuine friends and they seem really really sad that I was giving away my Boba to one of their regular customers and I really had to put pressure on to talk them into it and persuade him to accept it cuz everyone was just being way too nice. I don't care if one of my drinks doesn't have Boba LOL! I've already tried the Boba in the other two drinks LOL. No point in me being greedy. After all it's not like I'm Ariana Grande. Although I wish I was. Although I'd be way more promiscuous if I was. Than her I mean. Not than me. I'm more promiscuous than anybody. But I didn't say that out loud did I. Anyway one of the problems with this place is that it's in an iffy neighborhood which is really being improved lately but it means they have to put signs up to make sure nobody's using the restroom that isn't buying stuff and to tell people that they can't have any drinking water. That's fair enough considering the circumstances because I see who's hanging out on the street outside. The other big problem with this place is the hours. The reason I've never managed to try before even though I came to Cincinnati many times is that they close at 6 p.m. I'm usually just getting started at 6 p.m. I usually don't get to Cincinnati till after that. So it's sad that I've never managed to try it before now because it is actually really good - every bit as good as I hoped that it would be. And it gets worse in the winter time as they reduce their hours to only being open on Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays! I'm fine with it and it works for them but it means I can only be in Cinci 3 days out of any given week if I want to try this wonderful barber shop! I mean Boba shop but now that you mention it I do need a haircut. Between this place and Milk Jar which is brilliant as well but with crappy Boba and of course Poke Hut which was my original Cinci Tea love (originally I thought it was the best in Ohio, but now it's been relegated to the lower regions of the top 10), I would say that this is my favourite of the three. The best in the Cincinnati area. And one of the top three in all of Ohio. So congratulations to them for being so awesome and long may that continue. I have a lot of love for the friendliest people that I know in this part of Ohio. I always will. So it took me many years and several visits to Cincinnati before I was even able to try this damn thing. I'm so glad that I waited it out and I finally got to try it because it's one of my favorite Boba shops in all of Ohio. In fact I might even say it's my favuorite

Super cute little place! Big selection of drinks and also snacks. The lady who took my order was very nice

Passionfruit tea + passionfruit boba and peach ginger tea + mango boba

We got a passionfruit tea + passionfruit boba and peach ginger tea + mango boba. So good and refreshing!

Mango snow and watermelon snow. The place was nice enough to give us each a taste of each others (:
    Dalenna D.

This hole in the wall place is perfect for the boba lover like myself (: The selection is great with seasonal flavors like watermelon! I was lucky to be in the area this Summer to be able to try a watermelon snow drink with boba. We got the watermelon snow and mango milk snow and finished both by the time we got back home. So worth it!!

This is a cute shop near UC and they have post it notes to draw and decorate the shop. They were not busy, I ordered on a kiosk and my drink was ready within minutes. The boba was nice and chewy. I drink was average overall, I wished it had more ice, the flavor was average.

There are many options for the drinks (milk-based tea or fruit base, etc)..and, if you want, you can customize it however you like your drinks (ice, sweetness, topping, etc), too. I had a large brown sugar milk tea and thought it tasted good. I don't like my tea too sweet, and I found 30% sugar perfect (not too plain and not too sweet either). The boba that came with it was still bouncy and had the right chewy (and not soggy) consistency. The tea itself was probably around $7. But for the whole grand scheme of how fast prices are rising these days due to inflation, I thought the prices were still more stomach-able (is that even a word?) among students /crowds looking for quick snacks/something light. The only things that may be less optimal were: 1) small store size (there weren't many seats inside the store; so chances are you are going to take it to go) and 2) they didn't seem to have hot options (you can sure ask them..but I'm not sure how that will taste)..so this shop may not be a great idea when it's super cold outside/in the winter.

Today, though, one of the bowls we received which was supposed to have chunks of 1x tuna and 2x salmon, something we always get, had one spoonful of what looked and smelled like one part canned cat food mixed with four parts of store brand mayonnaise that had sat in the sun for two days. It was rancid and a health hazard; it had clearly gone bad. No one there seemed to care it smelled like garbage that had sat on the curb for two days and would put someone in the hospital if they tried to eat it. We walked the bowl directly to our outdoor garbage can because the smell in the house was making everyone sick. You could smell how bad it was from two stories, through a closed door. There is no way any restaurant would be ok with serving this. This wasn't just an unfortunate flavor; we could have sued them if we'd been stupid enough to eat it. So, I guess just ask if they plan on giving you literal garbage and then shrugging if you complain about possibly getting food poisoning before ordering because they do not care after you pay and have the item in your possession. I'll be contacting the Cincinnati Health Department when they open. This place is going to hurt someone who tastes the food without knowing better.
