I had never even heard of Boba Bear until one of my friends, who is a Invincible fan, told me they were doing a special pop-up experience. I do not usually make the drive out to K-Town, but since tickets were only $10.20 per person, we figured it would be worth checking out. Even though I don't really know much about Invincible, I still had a lot of fun. The space is completely transformed with different scenes from the show and there are plenty of photo ops whether you're a fan or just tagging along like I was. It definitely felt more immersive than I expected. The food and drinks are on the pricey side, so we shared a few items instead of each ordering our own: We tried the Monster Girl Matcha, which came in one of the collectible bottles ($20) my friend wanted. The drink itself was okay; not bad, but not my favorite matcha beverage. We also ordered the Invincible Power Wrap ($15), which tasted good but was honestly much smaller than I expected for the price. My favorite thing we tried was definitely Atom Eve's Energy Acai Bowl ($9). I love acai bowls and this one was refreshing with dragonfruit, strawberries, lychee, coconut flakes, and granola. I would order that again. We also shared the Viltrumite Training Cookies ($9). They were basically buttery sugar cookies but came in a pack of 3. Parking was probably the only annoying part. The shopping center seemed to only have valet, so I ended up finding free street parking in the neighborhood and walking about 10 minutes. One thing I thought was really cool was that the employees told us they completely change the theme every few months. They have done collaborations with Godzilla, Final Fantasy VII, and Arcane. Overall, I had a really good time, even as someone who is not familiar with Invincible. If you are a fan of the show and like experiential dining experiences, I would say come check it out. read more

They had a very minimal menu.. he came for the drink flask collectibles. They were $20 each and came with a juice drink inside. He also wanted their sugar cookies with the theme but they had ran out for the day. We also went upstairs where they had some picture props and a claw machine that was a scam lol $8 for 1 token for 2 tries and the many coins we got and played.. the claw would pick up and drop right before moving towards the drop.. shake my head. Came here for the Invincible collab, they have $5 valet parking only! No self-park. The cookies were already sold out at 5pm and they only make about 60 a day ... just a heads up! They specialize in drinks and boba, they don't have a diverse food menu! There is an upstairs photo-op area. Plenty of merch available! Everything is dimly lit inside for a nice ambiance. The matcha is not very good eeek! Food and drinks took a moment to come out, but our server was friendly. The alcoholic drinks are not very strong at all, but the flavor is still good! The açaí bowl was nice too. We opted to walk someplace else for an actual meal since the food here is more dessert-leaning and wouldn't be as filling in my opinion! :) read more

This was such a great experience. I loved how it was not crowded and made it feel like a nice family dinner. my son is a huge Godzilla fan so he was very excited. I recommend making a reservation I think this helps with avoiding a wait. There was Godzilla history everywhere making it fun to read and learn new things. It is not noisy at all. This place specializes in beverages and has a light bites menu. But I came here recently (early 4/2026) specifically for Godzilla immersive pop-up. The service here was great. They walked me through the experience and let me know what was available and about different things you can order, do, and look at. The ambiance? If you are a fan of Godzilla and kaijus, I think you would be pleased. It feels like a lot of thought and time went into the decorations and layout. I liked how the windows made it look like there was a nuclear wasteland outside. You book a reservation online and pay a $10 reservation fee. That fee goes towards your check though so it's not like it's an extra amount. I got there on the later side and I wasn't super hungry so I just wanted to get one of the drinks and a churro to snack on. The churro was a fun Godzilla breath attack theme and the drink came with a mug that you could keep. I chose the Godzilla one which was really cool because they had a whole dog and pony show with dry ice. I looked around and took some pictures and I bought a few things for my nephew because he's a big fan. I've been to the Demon Slayer pop up at their other location and really enjoyed that as well. I had the opportunity to attend a preview event before opening, and I honestly left impressed. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was energetic, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together. The themed collaboration was creative and made the entire experience feel unique. You could tell a lot of effort went into every detail, from the presentation to the guest experience. One of my favorite parts was the variety of drink options available. There were both alcoholic and non-alcoholic selections, making it easy for everyone to find something they enjoyed. I chose a non-alcoholic beverage, and it was refreshing, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It felt elevated without being overly sweet, and it paired perfectly with the food. Speaking of food, everything was fantastic. The acai bowl was fresh, colorful, and packed with fruit. The wrap was flavorful and filling, and the chips were the perfect crunchy side. Portions were generous, ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation was definitely photo-worthy. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Wow, went to Boba Bear to check out the Godzilla pop-up event and was blown away. The Big G's foot smashes through the ceiling upon entry, and the movies are on loop on the TV with destruction raging on the twin projection windows... all while classic Godzilla tunes plays on. Seeing all the posters on the wall for Toho's reign is my dream room. We opted for the Churro, which is beamed from Godzilla's belly right into your soul, as well as drinks in the ceramic Godzilla and Mothra mugs. For $25/$30, absolutely worth picking those up, especially as Godzilla's mug can emit 'smoke' via a separate dry ice compartment in his head. We skipped the sandwich, as it just looked like a Jersey Mike's sub but dyed green, and we weren't up for making our own ramen. Definitely keeping an eye on future events in the space! read more

I wanted to leave a place/location venue that would merit my best review to end the year and it ended up being so! Boba Bear in Koreatown usually hosts month-long events for whichever pop culture phenomenon is big at the moment. This time around, it was Final Fantasy VII's time to shine. Honestly, they went all out. I took so many photos, I had to select just a few, and even still, to fit the 10 pic limits, I had to combine several sets of 4 pics into one collage-like pic. I still don't think my pictures or short videos will do this event justice. 1997's RPG's masterpiece for the PSX was faithfully remastered for modern consoles just back in 2020, and this event brings the iconic Tifa's Seventh Heaven bar into Boba Bear. There are cutouts of almost all of the main characters (and a villain too, haha), except for Vincent, the 2nd floor has a small section with some free games, a la Gold Saucer, the menu is very interesting, and they event turned Sephiroth's iconic Masamune sword into an US$8.oo churro! (a bit steep, but it was worth it, it was delicious). They also sell plushies (buy the Chocobo one, they don't have a markup, it's the same price as if you were to buy them in Square-Enix dot com), Polygon Figures boxes (I got Barret in a Vol. 1 one), fridge magnets, pins, one kitchen apron shaped like a Soldier armor, knitted dolls, etc. etc. I went on Monday, Dec. 29th at 11:30am, after previously having made a reservation (the US$10.oo from the reservation are counted towards the total of your bill when you go pay at the end). There was just one woman being a cashier/server, etc. when I went, and her service was above and beyond, she was handling everything and she had a great disposition and friendly attitude 10/10 for that. It must not be easy to work a shift all by herself but she pulled it off. If you're into Final Fantasy, and consider VII to be in your top 3 entries (what is any Final Fantasy game released after XII, anyways? lol), this is definitely a must-see event. As for food options, there were instant ramen varieties with the toppings, at a bit of a markup, but also, not bad at all. All in all, a great event well worth the drive. 10/10. read more

My group went here after dinner as it was the last day of the FF7 collab and we had a few Final Fantasy fans in the group. The collab decoration was great! TV screens in the interior with scenes from the game, cardboard cutouts of characters signed by the voice actors, and a themed menu. They also had top hits from the game playing, though quiet enough that we could still converse without issue. They have reservations available, but my party of five was seated no problem when we arrived at 7:30pm. Service was fun and friendly and the servers were great. There's a QR code for the menu on the tables for ordering. There were two menus. One for the FF7 collab and their regular menu. We ordered from their regular menu and everything was disappointing. We got two bear cakes which were very cute to look at, but were fairly flavorless and lacking in texture. Their jam fillings were also just alright, like someone put a teaspoon dollop of Smucker's in the middle of them. I got an almond milk tea, which also looked cute as it came in a bear shaped cup. However, the tea itself was gritty like the almond powder wasn't mixed in well, only vaguely milky and couldn't taste the tea itself. The boba pearls were so-so. The theme was great and the staff were nice. From the few items we sampled from their regular menu, I'm glad my party ate dinner elsewhere. We all still enjoyed the atmosphere. read more

Final fantasy 7 x Boba Bear collaboration is a must go experience to any FF7 fans. This collab brings the magic of Tifa Lockhart's Bad "7th Heaven." Good luck finding parking because this place is next to Persian restaurant and Korean Grill. Inside is tribute with props and merch of FF7. Reservation is not required but recommended (Jan 26 is the last day btw). Menu are premade drinks with different color materia. Got all 4. there are speciality drinks and each comes with either FF7 Ever Crisis of Sephiroth tumbler. Got to have my man Sephiroth. Also order the masumune churro and chocobo booster cookie. They also have self serve ramen (you choose soup base and upto three toppings) Drinks come in a cute ball with cube lights, indicating the color drink. Cura materia (kiwi and passionfruit lemonade) is the best while the blizzarda materia (blue Thai tea) is bland and not even sweet. Masumune churro is must have for any Sephiroth fan. Package is like his sword with ores-coated churro is the blade and it's so good. Chocobo cookie is nice notch and must try Upstairs is Gold Saucer (tab must be paid before entering). Music is from the actual gold saucer. There is a church, selfies to take and actual entertainment. They have actual Booble Bobble from the 90's and it's free (Sadly one player), they have dart game but no darts to throw but the best one is the Masumune catching game (free btw) Overall, highly recommend on giving this place a try read more

I came by for the Godzilla pop up and let me tell you - this event is not worth it whatsoever. We showed up and walked in only to be told to go wait outside for the waitress to come get us. The waitress - who was incredibly sweet and hard working btw - was the only person managing all the tables. And this happened to every party showing up - being told to go back outside, most of the time the doors left open letting in the annoying bright light. You order one of three drinks for $25 in the godzilla ceramic mug, and we did not realize until we got home one of our mugs was all chipped and damaged. We ordered the boba which didn't even come with boba even though the picture showed it does, and the kiwi drink. The kiwi was much better but still underwhelming for such an event like this. We weren't told about any extra things like refills, the claw machine, etc, and I only realized it the next day when I saw videos online. So I feel like my time was a complete waste just sitting there drinking because nobody informed us of the extra activities. The food options were just said too - a bowl of "do it yourself" ramen and a school cafeteria looking sandwich. The decor wasn't much either, the posters were cool but the godzilla foot from the ceiling just looked stupid without any special effects actually making it look like it broke through the roof. read more

We came here for the FFVII pop up and the decor of the place was very cute. They had digital pictures for the windows and character cut outs with a lot of cute merch. However, be warned that there's a long wait even with a reservation, we had to wait 30 minutes to get seated. I think weekdays should be much better. The food was ok, self service ramen is what you'd expect and they include toppings which is nice, but the drinks left a lot to be desired. We really loved both souvenir cups and we ordered a materia drink and the mango drink but I would advise just getting the cups without the drink, they are all really sweet. If you are a huge FFVII fan I would recommend this but just be prepared for the meh food. read more

Thanks to Instagram and overly positive reviews, we were pretty much catfished into visiting the Godzilla Pop-Up. My nephew is a HUGE Godzilla fan and was really excited to go, so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown from the DIY ramen to the mediocre sandwich. The only real upside is that the RSVP fee is credited toward your meal. Overall, the food quality reminded me of theme park food at Magic Mountain or Knott's: very bland. I did enjoy the churro, though. There is a second floor filled mostly with Godzilla movie posters and a claw machine. The ambiance was just okay, with plenty of hardcore Godzilla fans, but the decor could have been much more creative and immersive. Lastly, while the staff was extremely slow despite serving a limited menu of sandwiches, churros, and ramen, they were genuinely kind and sweet. It made it hard to be upset they clearly tried their best to get to everyone, but the operation was poorly coordinated. Came here around 6pm for the FF7 pop-up and stayed for a while -- overall a really fun experience, but definitely not without flaws. The vibe is great, especially if you're a Final Fantasy fan: cute themed decor, solid photo-op areas upstairs, and it genuinely feels like an event rather than just a themed menu. The immersion started immediately with a digital window that acted as a portal, showing characters wandering through the world as if they were just outside the shop. My friend and I arrived, me in my handmade cosplay, which made posing with the character cutouts & exploring the numerous photo ops even more exciting. While the space was a bit more intimate than I expected, they packed it with detail--from a massive merchandise section to an upstairs gaming loft featuring a stunning lit-up display and digital screens made to look like windows that synchronized a breathtaking fake fireworks show. The attention to detail extended to the menu, where I tried a striking spherical glass drink filled with glowing ice cubes that tasted like a refreshing blend of kiwi and strawberry. For those looking to linger, they offered Korean liquor, snacks, & a cozy instant noodle station with hot water ready to go. I had never been to Boba Bear before, but came for their immersive Godzilla experience since I'm a huge fan. I ordered a specialty tea that tasted a lot like Jolly Ranchers, and it came in a fantastic Mothra mug I could take home. I also ordered the cool-looking sandwich, but apparently they're out of the black bun, so it was kinda just a sandwich. There was nothing vegetarian on the menu (including the ramen broth), so I asked them to make the sandwich without the turkey, and the very sweet server said she'd ask them to double the cheese, which was great. The sandwich was tasty, not terribly expensive, and the manager gave me a keychain to apologize for lack of vegetarian options, which was awesome of them to do. The space was COMPLETELY Godzilla'd out, and the upstairs area had a cool photo op spot and a couple games, which made it all feel like it was attached to a theme park in a way. I was informed the this location was converted to Seventh Heaven from FFVII. It's a cute little set up. The first floor was the bar and the second floor was converted to the Golden Saucer. I ordered the Thai tea that was blue and served in a circle bowl in the shape of the materia and tried out their churro. The drink was ok. What made it fun was the light up ice cubes. The churro was also just ok. The service was pretty good. We went early on a weekday and the place was empty for that time which is great. I've heard stories of long waits during peak time. It feels cheap, lazy, and thrown together just to charge people. There is nothing immersive about it. And the food is even worse. Instant ramen quality with a self-serve water station. You are paying restaurant prices for something you could make at home for a few dollars. This place is completely disorganized, poorly managed, and all hype with zero substance. Review is based on their collaboration with Arcane. We came twice since the first time around they didn't have the shimmer vials. Parking both times was atrocious since they do valet parking and we didn't want to pay, so we tried to find residential parking which was basically impossible. Setup was very nice, but drinks were overpriced at around $20 for each flask. Drinks without flask were around $9 served in bear bottles or the ceramic mug if you didn't want it in the vial. We got both the peach apricot tea and watermelon green tea. The watermelon green tea was better in my opinion but both tastes like what you would expect out of these types of experiences. The lights on the shimmer vials stop working after awhile and there's no way to really replace them since they're hot glued to the bottom of the bottle. read more

Slightly upset my phone died because I couldn't take pics of my drinks, but honestly they were too cute not to mention. I got a Too Good To Go bag and received two drinks in the bear cups, which I've been reusing ever since. Since they were a surprise, I called to ask what I got once I was in my car and the staff was super helpful and nice about it. They turned out to be the passion fruit green tea and the house milk tea. Service was quick and smooth once I checked in, no issues there. The passion fruit green tea was really refreshing with what tasted like a hint of lychee, which I loved. But the house milk tea easily stole the show. Before our trip to Los Angeles, I saw that Boba Bear was having a collab with Arcane until February 28th. My boyfriend and I have been watching Arcane, so this was perfect timing! We ordered the Arcane Shimmer Vial Peach Apricot Tea and Watermelon Green Tea. The drinks were okay. The souvenir vial you get with the shimmer drink is hefty though! It lights up and is glass. I liked the plastic bear container that we also received with the other drink. It was cute. read more

We attended the Godzilla pop-up event 4/19/26 and it was the most disappointing, distasteful, bootleg knockoff Temu experience ever!!!! First, we arrive 30mins earlier than our reservation to be met with many groups of people awaiting the very well-expected Godzilla experience to find that no one actually knew what they were supposed to do to check in for their reservation. My fiancé spoke with one party who had a 7:45p reservation but had still been waiting at the time of our arrival. While they didn't get called in until close to 8:30p we had not been called in and seated until around 9:15ish for our 8:30p reservation. On top of that, we get in to see a couple knockoff Godzilla figures, a Godzilla movie playing and some music and a few tables. You see a few merchandise items and that's about it. Very low budget. Very underwhelming. We then proceeded to scan the QR code to find a few things on the items, no biggie because we knew there weren't a lot of options but ohh boy, what we did discover was very disappointing and quite insulting. First off, we waited another 15-20mins to be approached at our table to get our order taken to order the cool Godzilla mugs which came with a dry-ice show (def a point there), 4 ramens, and 2 churros (which was by far the best thing there). The ramen is brought to the table to then be told that we must fix it ourselves--but that's not the kicker...THE RAMEN IS BULDAAK!!!! Wow!!! $9 for something we could've just had at home. And they didn't even have the decency to disguise it or anything!!! 2nd, the bathroom was disgusting. The upstairs "model" was terrible and low budget!!!! Just everything was terrible!!! And what makes it even worst is that it is more than obvious that the owner/manager blatantly set this team up to fail miserably. They clearly bit off more than they could chew!!!! Me and my family will NEVER support anything that this company does again because they clearly do not care about their business model or their team because per the reviews, it is clear that this has been a recurring issue and there has been absolutely nothing done to rectify the situation. it's okay if you're craving boba well past 9pm cause everything else in ktown is closed. i will say that the boba is disgustingly sweet, which makes sense because it's a smoker boba place, you know? but DAMN, i smoke too, and even my taste buds aren't all that messed up. the service is amazing, seems chill, and isn't really busy inside everytime i go. i do revommend getting your boba 50% sweetness or less because the 50% tastes exactly like how 100% sweetness boba tastes like at other places. also, so sad they replaced the bears with plastic now!! istg back in like 2022 and before, the glass cups were free, but they charge now. i'm fr like cheap asl, and i used to collect the lil glass cups from here read more

1 star for the cool FF themed event. 1 star for the nice wait staff. The drinks looked cool but tasted absolutely awful. Basically, just sugar water with a little flavor. Instant diabetes for every drink. Minus more stars for the rude Asian guy that kicked people out while we were waiting for our table. We weren't told that we couldn't come inside while we waited for 30 minutes. I went in to get a closer look at the merch to decide what I wanted to buy. Telling us that it was crowded and politely asking us to wait outside is totally fine- but he was super rude and even though I immediately began walking towards the exit, he bumped into me and tried to scoot past me to run to the door. I have a fractured knee and was walking at a decent pace 5 feet away to the door, it was uncalled for to rush and bump me. Additionally, after we got back outside, he slammed the doors shut loudly to the point where others waiting outside verbally said that he had frightened them. Whoever that guy was needs to chill the f out and treat people with some common decency. Even the nice servers don't make up the sourness left by that interaction. Probably have only been here once or twice years ago since it's not very local but definitely had to check out the Arcane popup collab they were doing! Parking is pretty bad, small lot and there was a line of cars when we got there. Decided to park at a structure down the street which was basically $30 since we had dinner out here as well. LA parking is awful. So we walked a few blocks to get here! Made reservations a whole month in advance due to popularity. They have merchandise such as posters from the show, awesome decoration, cute themed mugs and vials. It was a great experience and they were playing music from the show! They had a tv playing season 1 of the show as well. I loved their "Rio's Elixir" which was a Taro Milk Tea and added boba to mine (they have great, nice, and chewy boba pearls). I wanted a vial but they were unfortunately sold out. You can bring your receipt in to get the same price next time but I ended up just ordering through their site to ship to my house since shipping was super cheap. Little did I know, they didn't even BOX my shipment. They slapped a label on the vial bottle box and the box got damaged (see photo). Luckily the bottle itself was undamaged but not happy for collector's sake. Staff were great, there's a punching bag machine in the back to fit the theme of Vi's character. Overall had an awesome experience and the drinks were delicious! Highly recommend the Pow Pow cocktail! Would love to come back in the future and hoping they do more collabs like this. Most Random boba spot. This is definitely an adult hang out spot. The dining area is closed off and used as a hookah lounge. Have to go down the hallway to place an order and it's hot and humid in the hall way. We finally got our drinks and it's nothing to rave about. The boba is not soft and chewy, the boba cups are super cute. Most likely will not be returning to this place. Can't say much about the service, it's a self serve kiosk, the lady put the drinks on the counter and call our name. By the time we reached to the counter, she's gone. read more

I, personally and IMHO, did not find their drinks very flavorful. Unless you call extra sweet a flavor. There is a note on their menu that says "we make our drinks less sweet", so I left mine as ordered. Just a plain milk tea. I had to ask for it to be remade. They remade the drink for me and were very nice about it and It was less sweet. But not enough tea flavor. My hubby said that his almond milk tea was a bit chalky. I love that it came in a cute bear container but the price was $6.75 and I added a tip. Sorry but I don't think I would come back. Plus side is that if you bring back the bear you get a little discount. I think it is 60¢ off? They had an event going on so it looked nice but it seemed pricey for what it was according to my son. read more
