The usual Cheddar Baked Potato Soup with extra large cuts of potato as in the menu was disappointing. The potatoes were VERY small cuts and also under cooked which surprised us as we usually enjoy the soup. Also, we waited a long time for service, finally asking for a server to take our order......surprising and disappointing. read more

I haven't been to a Bob Evans in like a decade. Usually get breakfast, but I'm there late morning, so I decided to order lunch, although the menu states they serve breakfast all day. I remembered getting a pot roast sandwich once that I thought was pretty good. They still had it on the menu, but was listed as over 1000 calories. Since I was going to have a big dinner later on, I went with their friend chicken breast. It was part of their Dinner Bell Plates menu. The chicken was 8.49 and included mashed potatoes/gravy. I substituted brocolli for the corn. The restaurant patrons were all middle aged to seniors. No young patrons to be seen during this lunch hour. I figured that odd since this place in located in a very busy retail district. But there are many other dining options. Although the restaurant was busy, there were a few empty tables, so seating was no problem. Service was great. My server seemed to have a section with about 15 tables, but she kept up with them and was extremely pleasant. Food arrived after about 15 minutes. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone. We got there and it was busy, bit of a wait but it seems they were short staffed. Kudos to the manager because the team, including a sweet older woman from the kitchen, were keeping it under control. Stopped in for brunch while my car charged next door at the Supercharger. I had hoped to get in out before my car would get to 100% but I was mistaken. The service was so slow. When the food came out it was not as good as I've had at other Bob Evans. The eggs, scrambled, were dry and flat. The sausage patties, over cooked. The hash browns cold. The service is absolutely horrible. Bob Evans used to be one of my favorite places to go. Not any more for a number of reasons. You can never get a refill on drinks. The sweet tea is always on the sour side that's because they do not pull the spout apart and clean it so you get the slimy nasty build up from the spout in your drink. Food was good. Wanted to get some pie to take home for later server just put the check on the table and just walked away. Be awhile before I try going there again. Worse part there was only like 10 people in the whole restaurant. And we were the only table that server had. Two of us and could not get a drink refill. read more

The service has gotten terrible. I was in there by myself for braskfast and they waited first on people that were seated after me. Those people had gotten their food and were out the door before I got my food. Then on a different day the same week I went in and ordered takeout as I was recovering from surgery. The Assistant Mgr was determined that I wait behind everyone else. No mercy for me. I asked for my money back after waiting a long time and she was refusing to do that and was telling me I would have to come back the next day to get my money. At that point, I am really pissed and say "You will give me my money back". They got my order together and I got the food. They need better staff. The thought of over in there again raises my blood pressure so I don't think I will be back any time soon. read more

Ordered to-go breakfast for pickup for my elderly grandmother - the food smelled like a fart in my car...not the normal "gassy egg smell", but more like a dog had bad diarrhea smell. Bathrooms were dirty with filthy toilets that are not being cleaned properly. Staff was friendly and helpful. read more

i haven't had BOB EVANS in years! Unfortunately the day I decided to return I was disappointed in the quality of the sausage biscuit and gravy I received. Although the customer service was fine, the gravy was WAY too salty. I could barely eat it and wished I'd checked my bag before I left. I hope the kitchen improves soon. read more

Quick to seat us at peak times around here (6pm on a saturday). Normal waits are around 30-40 minutes at this time at other restaurants in the area. So if you're looking to get at a table quickly, this is probably your best bet. The service however was slow. They didn't seem to have much of a hurry to get things done. Even a table sat without being bussed pretty much the whole time we were eating. Our waitress seemed like the only one trying to have some hustle. Otherwise being preoccupied, she was pretty impressive. The 3 course dinners are nice. It's a good reason not to get their breakfast items. I had the wildfire chicken and didn't really care for it though. They bill it as a marinated chicken breast, but it's a grilled chicken breast with a BBQ sauce on it. Potato soup was very good. The rolls were good. The house salad wasn't particularly impressive, but house salads aren't usually. read more

I came here for a brunch with my sister last week after having discovered a coupon online. I was surprised at how busy the restaurant was even before noon on a weekday. We didn't have to wait for a table, but the restaurant was essentially packed. I ordered a combination plate with sausage patties, two eggs (scrambled), three slices of french toast, and hash browns. The sausage patties were awesome - Bob Evans makes their own sausages, so it was flavorful and moist as I expected. The eggs were standard, and the french toast was a bit thinner than I wanted, but was still okay. The hash browns weren't as brown as I would've liked. I got to taste some of my sister's breakfast potatoes, which also weren't as brown - maybe it's me and not the potatoes. Service: Our waitress was very friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly. Bottom line: Standard place for some breakfast that won't cost you an arm and a leg. If you come, definitely order the sausage! You won't regret it. read more

Overall this was a good experience. We arrived with the church rush, had about a 15 minute wait. The server was nice although did forget the toast on a order. The food was ok. Nothing to special. Fair for the price though. I can see myself coming here again. read more

We love Bob Evans, but this location has serious customer service issues. We were seated for 10 minutes without so much as a hello or glass of water. The hostess walked past us three times and at least four different waitresses looked at us and ignored us. I tried to get someone's attention but they could not be bothered. Very sad given how much we like the Bob Evans franchise. I should also note they were not very busy. read more

So... the online ordering experience was fine. Unfortunately you can't cancel or change your order. I was able to deal with a problem with them not showing the address on the ordering page. Anyway, after paying $11 for the pot roast hash, I received an INCREDIBLY small bowl of food. That should have been 2 or 3 bucks for the 2 eggs and couple off pieces of potato and meat underneath. We only order carry out so I don't know what dining in is like. They have several family meals that you can call ahead. I usually call when I am about 15-20 minutes away. It's 10 times better than stopping by the drive thru of a fast food restaurant and the price is about the same. I highly recommend the family meals when you don't have time to cook. We came in and it was not busy, seated right away, ordered right away...but food took a longer than usual time to get to table, No order was complete...Border scramble omelet was so runny, no sour cream with loaded hashbrowns, had to ask twice and was luke warm as was all orders. Ham and cheese omelet luke warm, no toast until after my meal was done even though I asked twice and a side of macaroni and cheese was not brought out until I had to ask for it .
