Always a great service and food! I love the salad selection!! soooo yummy! The wait staff is happy and fun!

I'm sick of giving Applebee's on Sherman a chance. Every time I think they'll do better they just let me down. We stood there for a good 5-8 minutes waiting to be seated and no one ever came so we walked out the door and what's ridiculous is it wasn't busy and servers saw us standing there. I think it's time to be done with this restaurant! read more

It's been a while since I've been to this Applebee's. It was a great place. But this time, it was a bit different. It was lunch time when we arrived, so I expected the place to be crowded. Far from it! There were only 4 tables that were occupied. The host, who was very soft spoken, asked us to follow him. As we walked around the bar (which was empty), the music overhead was blaring and the host started asking us questions. I don't know what those questions were, because I could not hear the guy. After we were seated, the server came around, asked for our drink order and said she'd be right back to take our orders. She disappeared for 9 minutes. Upon her return, she apologized for the wait. She took the order and the food arrived 12 minutes later. Food was mediocre at best. After we finished eating, we proceeded to wait another 12 minutes for our server to bring our check.....or at least check up on us. Keep in mind this place is like empty. I don't like to bad mouth a place, but mediocre service+ mediocre food, does not warrant a return trip. read more

This place needs to be sold, fire everyone and revamp this place. I stopped coming here 5 yrs ago after service went down. The good bartenders left. Such a high turn over rate. Management sux!! The kitchen staff does not know how to cook. The food is gross!!!! Save time and money and go to McDonald's. This place has not changed one bit. Only change is high employee turn over rate. KITCHEN STAFF SUX!!!!!!! FOOD IS GROSS!!!! I will NEVER return unless another business comes in. read more

Tried to eat supper there on Memorial Day which took two hours from the time we sat down until we finished. Super slow service and of the five orders not one was correct. The steaks were like shoe leather/over cooked and everything was cold. Took almost an hour just to get our drinks. This Muskegon Applebees is definitely a restaurant to stay clear of!! read more

Sure it's Veterans Day, sure it's busy...but waiting for our food 45 mins, while our neighboring veteran waited over an hour, was ridiculous! I ordered a strawberry chicken salad. Chicken was cold and I couldn't wait for another because I had a child to pick up. My vet husband had to pack up his food and couldn't enjoy his lunch either. My daughter ordered a hamburger and she also had to pack it up. As a side note, we were there a couple of days ago and the same kinda service. My husband's steak wasn't cooked right and the chicken on my salad was cold then too. Probably be the last time we go there. Oh, and the other guest said the hour they waited wasn't worth the food and service they received read more

It was black stuff floating in my water the waiter practically ignored me I even raised my hand at one point. Then our food came out which we had chicken and bacon sandwiches with fries the bacon wasn't all the way cook and our food was cold. The only thing that was good was our drinks. It was a waste of $30 honestly. read more

service was terrible by the girl working at the bar name Amber she works there on Thursdays late evenings she do not like African-Americans. We had to ask for everything we wanted we never got asked. Did we need anything or not even a menu we had to ask for it ! And when we did ask for things that we needed like forks, knives and spoons and extra napkins, we had to ask for it twice when she asked the other people did they need napkins, forks, and spoons But let alone the people who look like her ((white )) she was interacting with them, where they did t have too ask for nothin But hey ,, The service sucks that's why I'll keep taking my business elsewhere where people interact with customers and do their job! read more

KALLIE was so good to me.best swrvice ever.l love Applebee's I would recommend this place any day of the week

Visited here at Applebee's on Sherman 2 weeks ago and was very disappointed with our waitress, service and food. The waitress we had never smiled one time even though we kept smiling to her and continued to say happy things. After seated we didn't see her for a long time to order than I spilled my full glass of tea and got up and told a waitress at a station and after a few minutes ended up getting towels myself and cleaned the mees up. It covered the whole table. We never saw our waitress until to bring our bill. Very disappointed. Will not go back. btw, there wasn't hardly anyone there, so it wasn't like they were busy. waitress want rude but just seemed like she didn't want to be there. read more

Terrible service! Terrible wait time. Waitress let us wait 24 mins before acknowledging that we were there. Our orders were wrong. Our bill was wrong and waitresses couldn't remember a thing we ordered or asked. This was a terrible experience. I've never had such a terrible experience. I recommend the Applebees in Lansing. But I will never come here again. read more

Great food, amazing team that worked together. Fun and happy place to hang out. Awesome happy specials. Good for friends and family

First of all, we were waiting so long just to be GREETED by our waitress and for our drink order that two other employees asked us if we had been helped. Finally our waitress arrives takes our order and leaves. Then a four person table sits in the section next to us, with the same waitress. They get drinks and appetizers and their food way before we got our food. Even though we were there first? We didn't get any appetizers either. When the food DID arrive it was another random employee who wasn't our waitress. Threw our food on our table didn't see if we needed anything at all took off before i even got a look. i bit into my broccoli to find it cold. I thought maybe it was a fluke took a few more bites, Nope that was cold. I bit into my steak, the Parmesan shrimp steak to be exact and the cheese or sauce stuff that comes on it? Cold. EW. I didn't take another bite. I sent my food away and they asked if i wanted anything else like i didn't just wait that long for it to be that gross. I wasn't going to waste any more of my money or time there. They weren't even busy. We literally saw them on their phones. Id give zero stars if I could it was ridiculous. read more

Zero stars, absolutely zero stars, actually one because of the servers, kinda... The people in the back making the food are just there for a paycheck. I never in my life have had to send back a steak anywhere. My girlfriend and I decided to go out to eat and we picked Applebees. ohh sounds exciting right? No. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye medium well and she ordered a 8 oz sirloin medium rare. Well ours both came back and her steak was gray and wayyyyy over cooked! Mine came back and was purple...? Yes a purple steak! How tf... anyways we send them back and wait for them to comeback out hopefully cooked right. Nope, not at all! Still terribly cooked! I decided to just bring them home to my dogs.. almost didn't even want to feed them this steak. Anyways the bill was wrong also I shouldn't have had to pay 73 dollars to Applebees for such terrible food! I hope this place closes or those cooks in the back or whatever you want to call them get fired! read more

great dinner awesome drinks! We were served quickly and our food was hot! We love Applebees half off apps at night!

First time here in years. Had a gift card from Christmas and the all you can eat (shrimp, wings, rib-lets) looked appealing. Wait time was acceptable 20 min. Greeted by waitress immediately.Wings and shrimp were good and the fries were amazing. The wait time for the food was terrible and the waitress never came to refill our drinks even after we asked for more water. I understand why their rating is only 2 1/2 stars. read more

If I could do negative stars, I would. Shame on you Applebee's In Muskegon, shame on you. Worst experience ever. Came in on 8/11/19. Ordered a drink and they carded me. I gave them my state ID. Then for some reason, the waiter said that he could not accept my identification. Then he calls over the rudest manager of all time who basically had her mind made up already and was like "give me your ID". I hand over my ILLINOIS DRIVERS LICENSE and she didn't even look at it. As most of you know, some state DMVs are issuing paper identification cards and sending the plastic one in the following few weeks in this mail. Illinois started doing this along with other states. That paper identification along with my expired one IS MY IDENTIFICATION. I am legally allowed to use that to board planes, buy firearms, go to the bank, everything EXCEPT Applebee's. Applebee's is a secret society apparently where you need to show your social security, state issued ID, birth certificate and proof of income and promise your first born son. She was like "well you're not drinking here today so whatever you want to do is fine with me". Her rudeness alone had me embarrassed. I am a human being and expect to be treated as so. This establishment is in hospitality, I don't expect sass mouthed managers named Corrine to be rude and roll her eyes at me like she did a few times. She stated that it was "Applebee's policy" and didn't explain further what the actual policy is after we asked her what it was a few times. We promptly got up and paid for the drinks we did not drink because they wanted to be petty and charge us after they said they couldn't serve me. We would have still eaten there if she wasn't so rude. Here's a tip: learn about what legal identification is not just in your state but others too if you're going to judge on who to serve alcohol or not. But she definitely seemed to have it all together and try and play like she knew better when she clearly was uninformed and just fronting like she knew it all. I am 34 years old, I'm not going to print up an ID get sloshed at an Applebee's. If I were you, I would steer clear from this place and the chain altogether since they have Corrine stating their policy but actually cannot tell me the policy. If she's representing the Applebee's brand with her rude behavior and wrong information, then I am good. Plenty of other places who need your money. read more

The server was very nice and service was fast. The food was good. My only issue was the group of kids near us being so loud at times we couldn't even hear each other talk. But all in all in all I always enjoy the place. Been one my favorites for many many years. read more

The service here is horrible to say the least. The manager failed to introduce himself by name, which should the be the first rule of making your guest feel as if their problem will be resolved. From the hostess skipping our group while knowing we were sitting at the bar and can not hear any names being called over the loud music (a speaker system would help) to finally being sat and waiting 15 mins with no greet. Shauna was extremely nice once she did greet us. David, the manager, needs to go back to customer service 101. read more

First time ever that I had a bad experience at Applebee's. We waited next to a father and daughter and they were seated. Five minutes later we were seated. Half hour still waiting for food for two people. Saw the father and daughter had eaten and left already. We finally got our food after 45 minutes. It was so cold. The restaurant was only half full. I understand that places are understaffed. The other tables across from us also had cold food. What a waste of time. I like the fact the cocktails are to go now. But unfortunately this specific time I went didn't go well. First used Yelp to enter the waitlist. Said I would be seated by a specific time. I waited over an hour to be seated. Then we ordered the special drinks and received them in Togo cups to dine in. My steak was undercooked. I asked for onions for my salad I didn't get them until I was done with my salad. I will say it was steady business and they can't ask people to leave. I really feel we were skipped because we used the Yelp access. read more

If you'd like to be accused of lying - this is your place to eat! My mother ordered a salad and when she go home, there was no dressing.
