We stepped at Bob Evans for a quick dinner before a night of tubing over at Snow trails. I was looking forward to having something high protein just to fill my belly to give me the energy and the stamina for the evening. Tori was her server. I think she did a really nice job of serving us as far as keeping their water glasses full in our food on time However, I was really disappointed in the menu and silverware in the glasses that have just shown a lot of aging it was a pretty full evening and the servers had to stay on top with a lot of people in there, but overall the place was clean and everyone seemed to be served in the appropriate time The rise and shine burger was to my liking just a good burger. The egg was a little over fried American cheese and a couple pieces of real bacon keeping the calorie count low. I chose not to eat many of the fries or the buns, but I did take a bite of each and I probably could've finished them, but I Knew The mystery calories and all that butter was not gonna be good. My whole meal came to 1499 which wasn't bad however basically it was just burgers and fries. Not sure if I would go back again. There are other options in the area. I just couldn't get past the glass and I choose not to use a straw, but I used the straw because I didn't wanna put my mouth on the side of the glass. read more

Went on a Sunday for lunch and they were packed. It was a 25 minute wait for 3 people and went up after we were on the waitlist. We also waited a bit for food as they were also short staffed. Typical Bob Evans decor and clean bathrooms, tables were cleaned pretty quickly too. We had a Southwest avocado omelet no sausage, southwest avocado chicken, and I think wildfire chicken salad. Omelet came with either toast or biscuits, but the other two came with bread or rolls. She did forget to ask what kind one us wanted. Omelet was good and filling. The salad was reminiscent of a taco salad. Sadly the southwest avocado chicken wasn't very flavorful and was shorted. Despite the name, they forgot to add the avocado and also the second piece of chicken. The cooks were reportedly new so we waited until the end of our meal, but no resolution so we asked if we could get a discount. The server was very apologetic and fully removed the meal so we were pleasantly surprised since I was just hoping for a couple dollars off. Sad the mistake happened, but not a big deal and they made up for it. We still tipped. Before the discount it was about $44 for 3 meals with 2 teas. I am very disappointed in my last two interactions with Bob Evans. I ordered biscuits and gravy April 13th through the Bob Evans App. They delivered it and only gave me the gravy. I called and spoke with the manager and I was told I would get a certificate for $5 in the mail. I never got it, but thought whatever. Tonight we ordered Bob Evans again for delivery. My husband ordered a burger with avocado and loaded fries. The burger he got had no sauce (which it was supposed to have), no avocado, and cold, plan fries. We got no syrups with our French toast, the biscuits were rock hard, and my bacon was mostly raw. I will never return to or order from this Bob Evans ever again. read more

This location may be found at the interchange of I-71,and rt 13 in Mansfield ohio , and so far is another gem in the link of the chain of this vintage eatery . The local premises are clean , the menu items usually cooked as ordered , and the wait staff at the time that I had lunch , Cordial and efficient . As one might expect , the delivery of Food orders may be prompt , or sometimes not so prompt depending on the time of day and the amount of diners in the room . Ditto drink refills . As far as the physical plant itself ...... This is one food purveyor who pretty much assures that all of its properties are in convenient locations and it's restaurant exteriors picture perfect . This particular location currently is a noticeable example of employees who care , and as a result customer service is "usually"excellent . However , That being said , remember that things do change as servers come and go , but hopefully this location will continue to please it's patrons in the months ahead as it has in the past . So ,As of this visit , because of slower than normal drink refills , only a four star review ..... For Now at least ! It's obvious that the Bob Evans corporation has partaken in lean management. This particular location is a dump. The foyer smells worse than sitting next to the toilet facilities. I know because that is where we were seated, despite the nearly two dozen other empty tables. I would have hoped these spots to be naturally eliminated under the COVID restrictions The floor is filthy and I saw just one bus boy, but he neither cleaned tables nor swept while I was there. The "dinner rolls" were hamburger buns. The food is all canned, frozen, or otherwise preserved for the long truck hauls from wherever the distribution warehouses are. Perhaps most displeasing was the INCESSANT phone ringing and absolute disinterest in either answering it or making it stop.. My family were regulars at this place until we were refused seating at a different table that was more family friendly, we will never be back especially after we were treated, they didn't care what we wanted or about losing our business. The have a circular table there that is hard to hear people at, my wife is hearing disabled so I simply asked to sit at a square table, the hostess told me I can't do that because I have a booster chair for my baby, the restaurant was not full at all I asked her if there was any other table we could sit at other then the round table, I was told no. So I said we can't eat here if you can't find us any other table to sit at, she said sorry. We have eaten at several different tables over the past year as we were weekly customers almost every week we were there for a meal. Talked to the manager he didn't seem to care. A late lunchtime visit to this location with my Mom brought us to this location overlooking I-71 & Rt 13 outside Mansfield. While we were seated almost immediately it was 10 minutes until we got a server to stop by our table to tell us we were being served by someone else. OK our server shows, takes our drink and lunch order. In good time out orders came out. My order a BBQ Bacon Burger & Fries, a decent burger topped with Memphis spice-rubbed bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and Wildfire sauce on a brioche bun. Yes, messy beast like any good burger but so greasy that the bottom bun was a soggy mess. Then the splash of fryer grease across my plate and spots around the edges of the plate made me question the basic quality control of the kitchen of this location. My Mom's Half sammich was decent but the Cheddar Baked Potato soup had what she described as still having semi/uncooked potatoes in it. Our table service was spotty at best with drinks going dry as one waitress was trying to pick up the slack of our waitress that was obviously unable to handle the size of the section management had assigned her. I can only hope this visit was the exception but in my opinion I've had better food and service at other Bob's. read more

I door dashed 13$$ breakfast. I was very happy with the way everything tasted. My medium eggs were medium, Hash browns were cooked perfectly (one complaint I do have is I couldn't add notes to my order cause i really wanted gravy on my hash browns.They were good regardless tho.) The Ham was a nice thick slice, My bacon was a little crispy I kinda like it limp but it tasted fine. The french toast was oh man you just gotta try it. The food was made fast, and door dash delivered fast(was still warm when I got it). The packaging was very nice that the food arrived in, there were plastic silverware, napkins and condiments. For what I paid the quality and quantity of my meal was amazing. I will definitely be ordering food from there again in the future. Maybe I will have them again for dinner :P read more

You would think we would have learned our lesson with Bob Evans. Three times in the past year we ordered Bob Evan's Door Dash, all three times they were late, food was missing and what did arrive was ice cold. Most recently showing up 30 minutes late, missing 6 biscuits and sausage gravy. I called the store manager who said I had to go pick it up (apparently the 3.99 delivery and additional tip didn't count, and what's the point to have it delivered). I asked for a full refund and return the food. I drove it down to be told Bob Evan's needed Door Dash to refund me. I called Door Dash who said Bob Evan's needed to refund me. Spoke to Bob Evan's manager and was ensured corporate would refund me. Been 10 days now and still nothing. I've left messages with Bob Evan's corporate and haven't heard back. It's despicable, corporate robbery. I'll be contacting the Attorney General next. read more

I've been to this Bob Evans before but after this past weekend I won't be returning. I ordered the Farmer's Choice Breakfast which includes: choice of one fruit crepe, two hotcakes or two slices of French toast served with two eggs*, Bob Evans® Sausage or bacon and hash browns, home fries or grits. When our waitress (Jenn) took the order I said I wanted the pancakes topped with blueberries (never offered the crepe), scrambled eggs, sausage (they normally ask if you want links or patties, she didn't) and hash browns (no mention of the grits). My order arrived, I had blueberry pancakes that weren't cooked all the way (nor what I ordered), sausage links, scrambled eggs and uncooked hash browns. Obviously, I complained. She proceeded to tell me that I didn't order the pancakes with the toppings (my friend I was with confirmed I did) and she couldn't help how the food was cooked because she just took the order. I informed her she took it wrong. She snapped out that she wasn't going to argue with me even though she got the order wrong and walked away. They brought out new pancakes which were still blueberry pancakes drenched in so much topping you couldn't eat it because it was so sweet and still uncooked hash browns. Even my friends got new hash brown orders because theirs was raw and the "new cooked" version wasn't much better. The manager did discount my friends breakfast and I got mine for free (all I was able to eat was the eggs and sausage), which was appreciated, but due to the lousy service, I won't be back. read more

Spent $34 for three dinners and it was not good. I got shrimp and potatoes (like nine pieces,,). They were both hard and cold. Didn't receive my green beans or tarter sauce. Another dinner was all mixed together and partly cold. If I am going to pay that much it could still least be warm and everything given. Last four out of five times I have been here the food has really went downhill. Don't recommend eating here. Have complained before but falls on deaf ears. No changes made. I was seated right away, and "coffee'd" with a option of flavored creamers. I like flavored creamers!!Waitress brought me a mason jar of water to drink with my meal. I got the sausage gravy breakfast, with biscuits and hash browns. It was good. Not a culinary master piece but this is a chain with a cookie cutter menu. But the food was hot, fresh and delicious. The waitress must have know that I was from out of town and driving. I was also alone. She gave me a to go coffee. My bill was under $10 bucks. Everyone was pleasant and I took advantage of the candles they sold 3 for $25. Gonna make a few good gifts. If your hungry and want a decent meal without surprises. Go here. We just ate there for brunch. My hubby's food was great, no complaints. Service was good. My omelette was not as good. Not enough spinach & too many onions. My husband and I walked into the Bob Evans establishment off Rt 13 in Mansfield. It was about 15:00-15:30 and not very busy.....as in there may have been 3 or 4 customers. There was a waitress on the phone taking an order, one waitress taking care of customers on the right side(as you walk in) and another waitress taking care of the left side. My hubby and I stood at the "wait to be seated sign for over 5 mins. NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGED WE WERE THERE!!!!!! No " just a moment, no, I'll be right with you"...... nothing. My theory is, they saw an older white man and a black woman together and felt we were not important enough to help. But what they did not realize is my husband and I are well established physicians and we are making Ohio our new home. I promise, we will Facebook 20 of our friends ( that's 40 for those who are counting) and they will ALL tell 20 of their friends. With the world we live in today (anger and hatred), my husband and I always believed, people can put their differences aside and come together over a nice hot meal. We got there at 10:15am , it did not seem too busy. We were seated at a table that looked like it had just been wiped down. It was gross though as the table was very wet and smelled like a too old kitchen rag. It was too wet to put anything like a phone or keys on. I got up to ask if we could get the table dried off and instead of helping me out she handed me some napkins for me to dry off the table! I will put this bussing experience on my resume! I was ok with all of that until I got the juice I ordered and the outside of the cup was covered with dry food particles it was really bad and when the waitress came back she was even grossed out by it . It made me think... I saw some pretty bizarre people leaving as I came in....am I touching the leftover already chewed biscuits and gravy from them? Hmmmmmm....gag...She apologized and took the juice. About a minute later she brought back my original cup and it was dripping with water; she told me they rinsed it off! Needless to say I went without a drink for breakfast. My hash browns came and were brown on top and barely cooked on the bottom and my scrambled eggs were dripping with cooking oil. I will not be back. This used to be a family favorite but the quality experience just isn't there or worth the $25 for two for breakfast. I hate to do this because I really like Bob Evans, however this was an awful experience. As we first walked in, there was trash and food on the floor everywhere. I wish I would have followed my intuition to leave then, however, I decided to give it a chance and assumed they were really busy. Waited for a while to get greeted, when we did, it was clear we were an inconvenience. Got our drinks after 15 minutes. Placed our order including soup and salad that was supposed to be out before the meal, never came, not even with the meal. Order was completely wrong, waitress asked if we could just eat it. Ugh! That offended me, but we agreed to "just eat it". After 1 hr and 15 minutes, we got up, asked for our bill and the manager told us to have a seat and our server would bring it when she had time. No refills, no clearing of plates, nothing. 1round of drinks, no refills. When we finally did get up to leave, the manager named Bob said to another employee, he wishes he could lock the doors, he was tired of people. This was very obvious from the appearance of the restaurant and the horrible service. Unfortunately, this Bob Evans really let me down. My Daughter and I recently ate breakfast at Bobs in Greenville,Ohio. We have eaten there many times, but it is getting so we are reconsidering about going there. My food was ok, but a small serving of hash browns instead of the usual, and it was all just slightly warm. My Daughter ordered the new bacon omelet with home fries. She didn't like the omelet at all and the potatoes were not cooked enough, still hard. She did order an English muffin and was told they weren't on the menu anymore. With coffee her bill was over $11.00 for a bad meal only about a quarter eaten and she didn't want to take it home. We used to really enjoy going there, but with the changes, no coffee pots, smaller portions cold food, not completely cooked pancakes, and no English muffins, we will rethink our choice for dining there. Horrible experience! Walked in at 4pm on Thursday, no hostess was "looked at" by 4 servers who ignored us. After 5 minutes a hostess came from the back and sat us. Waited another 5 minutes and was never acknowledged by a server. Walked up to register where I encountered manager last name Sweeney and explained what had occurred so far and that we were leaving and going across the street to Cracker Barrel. He said sorry about that. No attempt at service recovery, no attempt to get another chance to serve us. This has happened before...won't happen again, not going back! read more
