    Inside rise and shine

We stepped at Bob Evans for a quick dinner before a night of tubing over at Snow trails. I was looking forward to having something high protein just to fill my belly to give me the energy and the stamina for the evening. Tori was her server. I think she did a really nice job of serving us as far as keeping their water glasses full in our food on time However, I was really disappointed in the menu and silverware in the glasses that have just shown a lot of aging it was a pretty full evening and the servers had to stay on top with a lot of people in there, but overall the place was clean and everyone seemed to be served in the appropriate time The rise and shine burger was to my liking just a good burger. The egg was a little over fried American cheese and a couple pieces of real bacon keeping the calorie count low. I chose not to eat many of the fries or the buns, but I did take a bite of each and I probably could've finished them, but I Knew The mystery calories and all that butter was not gonna be good. My whole meal came to 1499 which wasn't bad however basically it was just burgers and fries. Not sure if I would go back again. There are other options in the area. I just couldn't get past the glass and I choose not to use a straw, but I used the straw because I didn't wanna put my mouth on the side of the glass.

The food was amazing. Jeannine, our server was really sweet. She checked in on us often, but we were busy stuffing our faces. Apple berry splash, which is Apple juice with a splash of berry, was good. Double meat breakfast was really good. It came with pancakes that were very fluffy. Rise and shine breakfast was perfect as well. Nice clean restaurant and bathrooms. Thanks for a good meal, Bob

Passed on the home fries and got a fruit bowl. Biscuit/Sausage/Egg Plus Biscuit/Bacon/Egg Sausage Gravy in the side Mmmmm mmmmm good

Clean, fast, and friendly! Ordered the two biscuit sandwiches/ one with bacon, one with sausage. Great meats com Bob Evans Farms. Stopped here on the way to Indy. I wish there were Bob Evans in the Northeast!

This BLT was served to us. Assembled by a toddler and cut with a golf club.

This place is awful. No tipped Alexis after this hostess/waitress seated us and then ignored us for 10 minutes while taking care of tables she seated after us. My wife asked her to re-wipe our sticky table and then she just handed us some napkins. Instead of soup, we got a bowl of veggies and dry beef. SOUP HAS BROTH TOO, ALEXIS! My wife ordered a BLT, and this masterpiece was served. We had to beg for drink refills. Go to Cracker Barrel instead.

Went on a Sunday for lunch and they were packed. It was a 25 minute wait for 3 people and went up after we were on the waitlist. We also waited a bit for food as they were also short staffed. Typical Bob Evans decor and clean bathrooms, tables were cleaned pretty quickly too. We had a Southwest avocado omelet no sausage, southwest avocado chicken, and I think wildfire chicken salad. Omelet came with either toast or biscuits, but the other two came with bread or rolls. She did forget to ask what kind one us wanted. Omelet was good and filling. The salad was reminiscent of a taco salad. Sadly the southwest avocado chicken wasn't very flavorful and was shorted. Despite the name, they forgot to add the avocado and also the second piece of chicken. The cooks were reportedly new so we waited until the end of our meal, but no resolution so we asked if we could get a discount. The server was very apologetic and fully removed the meal so we were pleasantly surprised since I was just hoping for a couple dollars off. Sad the mistake happened, but not a big deal and they made up for it. We still tipped. Before the discount it was about $44 for 3 meals with 2 teas. Overall pretty standard Bob Evans, but don't go if you have plans to get to.

Decent food. Service was horrible. One of the worst restaurants service wise I have ever been at.

Finely tried a Bob Evans restaurant after seeing several in our travels. They were okay kind of like a Denny's.

Which turned out great, because she said the chef doing the steaks was really good, and she was right. I have very exacting preferences for steak done-ness, and this one was absolutely perfect. The Cajun seasoning and mushrooms & onions were a tasty garnish, and I subbed out the garlic mashed potatoes for the 4-cheese mac & cheese with bacon -- a winner again, rich and savory. The national chain nature of the restaurant means the beer selection is pretty lame, but the drafts are cold. The not so good parts? The host was on his phone in the waiting area when I walked in, and he didn't glance up as he yelled "How many?" When he asked me if I wanted a table or a booth, it felt like a challenge, and his "Follow me" was more like an order from a guard than an invitation, but fine. I wouldn't mention it but for the fact that the general manager visited my table as I was dining to ask if my steak was done right. I told him it was perfect, and he said thank you and left. No conversation, no interest in details, just a quick yes/no survey. I've heard that some restaurant chains have a "table touch" policy that requires managers to visit patrons' tables and ask about the experience. If this was an example, it was a bad one, because it couldn't have been more clear that this manager wanted to be doing pretty much anything else than this job. Last grouchy note: tableside devices to pay the check are fine, but when they double as distractions, entertainment devices (doesn't everyone carry one already?), and ways to avoid human contact -- that's a line I wish they would refuse to cross. End of rant.
