A truly beautiful community park with lots of great amenities. There are nature paths for walking, open pavilions for nice picnic gatherings, and enclosed pavilions that can be reserved year around for parties and family get togethers. There's the Maag Outdoor sound stage for outdoor concerts. United States military bands present concerts there in the summer. Townsfolk bring their folding chairs and enjoy the music under the evening sky. There are two outdoor play areas for children: Little Tykes for the Pre-Schoolers, and Kids Town for the older children. Each year in the Spring, you can enjoy hot pancakes and maple syrup offered for a small fee over two weekends. In the Fall, the park hosts the annual Octoberfest. Great park, very nice, park personnel are pleasant and helpful. If you have a dog fantastic dog park co-located, but absolutely beware of the worthy patron group that visit around 0930-1000hrs they are a horrible group that have park personnel on speed dial. So if they aren't accepting of your pooch the false complaints start. After 1200hrs the park is empty of that sad group of individuals. read more

Outdoor oasis for the entire family. While traveling, we stopped her for some kiddo fun time. Anyone will have a blast here, well, unless you hate the outdoors. Acres of green space that include: - playgrounds (1. large, wooden, all ages playground, 2. little tots playground, and 3. Great little community park. I stopped by for a short walk on my way through town and was glad I found this place. There are paved trails as well as nature trails, probably around 2 miles total. Even though Boardman Park isn't that big, you still feel away from civilization back in those nature trails. The entire park is level so all trails are easy walking. Hiking shoes aren't necessary for the nature trails. There are plenty of bathrooms and the park is well maintained. Shelters, benches and picnic tables are plentiful. There's a gazebo and a stage for events. It was a quiet Sunday morning when I was there but a group was packing up after camping in the park overnight (might have been a boy scout troop, I'm not entirely sure). Worth checking out whether it's for a community event, party or just a quiet walk in the park. Bring a friend, bring the family or just go by yourself. I can't see being disappointed here at all. read more

The park is normally clean, I've never seen any areas i thought needed attention as far as lawn maintenance or trash removal. The people there are always nice, never had an issue with bringing my dogs and daughter there. The playgrounds are clean, the events are always nice and organized as well as if you rent a place for an event it's always clean and organized. read more

Boardman Park is such a nice place! I grew up playing on the kids town area. They have a lot of options for having events such as weddings, showers, graduations, etc. the pavilions and lodges are really nice. St. James church is also lovely and historic. They often do a lot of community events such as the maple syrup festival and hayrides. It's a great place to go with kids and family. My family often picked up lunch and would picnic in the park. It's a great place to spend a sunny summer day. read more

This is a wonderful little park nestled in middle of the busiest area in the county! The two different play grounds are amazing, all my kids love them. There are also walking trails through the trees if you would like to enjoy nature a little more. Also at this park is a charming little white church and an impressive gazebo that are both avaliable to host weddings! read more

As an out of towner, I thought this was a great park for an evening walk/jog. The paths seemed nice and well cared for. There seemed to be quite a few people around since it was a nice night, but I didn't feel crowded since there were clearly plenty of spaces for people to enjoy. This was a much better park than I anticipated finding and made an enjoyable evening. read more

A great little park to take your little ones to play for an afternoon. They have a large and small play area with many different things for the kids to do. They also have a separate play area for the little ones under 4 yrs old. It was a fun time and they have pop/snack machines to take advantage of. My first time there but it was very well kept and clean. Parking is ample and I guess they have many events throughout the year such as outdoor concerts, craft shows and the like. read more

So, the kids play area has a gang of Cozy Coupes that little kids can just drive around. How these things have not been stolen is beyond me, but maybe I'm just a jaded old fool. Cozy Coupes aplenty! Cozy Coupes for everyone! You don't have to fight, love, there's another one right there! Boardman park is truly a unique place for every type of individual. With its walking trails, playgrounds, and beautifully unique types of nature, there's something for just about everyone to enjoy. The park offers several special functions during the holidays but personally Halloween is my favorite! With hayrides, pumpkin carving, and witch walks it's a great experience to bring the family to for the holiday! read more

Great park! Tennis, kids play ground, walking trails and open areas to practice disc golf. When I lived in the area, I came here a lot. They also have a great Christmas Display during the holidays. read more

My son loves it here.. we visit often! Think the only bad thing I experienced was during the month of June, there were a group of thugs exchanging drugs/money, and smoking weed. Some might love it around their children, but not I. I've never raised my voice in public like I did at those bafoons. So close to the kids play area too!
