This place looked really fun for kids about 10 to 25. That's not a bad thing. Just an observation…read morefrom stopping by. I saw some games for sale. I saw some kids playing games. All of the parents were outside chatting away and on their cellphones. I didn't play any games myself, I guess I'm too old school for such a new facility, this is not an arcade we grew up with, so I left.

Just found out about this place recently from Facebook, checked it out and gotta say I love it!…read more The staff are top notch. The music is great and the game selection is great. The real 5 star for me though is their selection of board games and card games. I play Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons and I love the atmosphere here! The PROS far out weigh the CONS but the cons related to Magic I feel will not allow the community to grow well. PROS Fair Prices Great music Great selection of games AWESOME STAFF Great community feel CONS Not going off TCG, TCG is the norm and players appreciate the transparency in pricing. From my understanding they use an in store system... pricing is close, but transparency is nice for planning efforts. No special promotion for packs, this is the only store I've been to not running 3x for $10 on Standard legal sets. With multiple stores nearby, it doesn't make much sense to buy packs apart from tournaments and events... Again not worth a rating change but this has prevented me from buying individual packs.

This year, we went on Christmas night. Still had fun, but there was more wait times. The synchronized lights house is fabulous. This year, there were live drummer boys performing in the streets that were wonderful. Roasted some marshmallows at the fire pits. I would recommend offering a bag with just more mallows for those not wanting (or who can't have) chocolate. Daughter loved the reindeer poop balls too. Snowfall show, cute train trip thru lights, yummy drink in a boot, good cocoa. Interesting history exhibit on the brothers, who are Dave Pratt's kids for my other AZ oldies. Loved the gingerbread graveyard this year. So cool! Dusty the Horse is a favorite too. The shop upfront (whose name I must remember next year, Ivy maybe) is a not to miss. They have lots of fun & interesting things at all price levels, great for gifts or you. There is also a Gun Fight Santa show, parade including Santa, cookie decorating, search events if wanted, food trucks, other stage show events, some fun photo opp stops, the jail is open, and more. We easily spent 3 hours there as just us adults.

My wife and I were there for the Ostrich Festival which had recently moved from Tumbleweed Park to Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass. A very different footprint from the park, but the behind-the-scenes folks responsible for the festival did a fantastic job in the new location. Known for its concerts, the festival did not disappoint. Kansas, Vanilla Ice, Baby Bash, and The Commodores, among others. Smaller national bands and some local artists graced a smaller stage as well. Top notch entertainment was everywhere this year. Megan the Bubbleologist amazed with her bubbles, Mango and Dango added excitement with their music and dancing, the Cup Guy dazzled with his juggling skills, Off-Axis Stunt Shows were fantastic in three separate shows - BMX, trampoline, and diving. There was a magic show with Sean and Chanelle and their Model T car, live ostriches, a daily evening parade, STEM games, birds, and so much more to see. Already looking forward to next year's Ostrich Festival, held at Rawhide.

Rawhide hosts various events, including bull riding and concerts. For the Fever event, parking was free. For Ostrich Festival, pre-paid parking was $13 or $15 at the gate. You really have no other choice but to park in their lot given that it's basically out there on it's own in Chandler. It's about a 30-minute walk from Gila Casino. Rawhide is a "Western Town." While there isn't any historical context, Rawhide is made to look like an old Western town, dusty roads and saloon-style buildings included. The aesthetic is pretty cool. And it's spacious too. The logistics with the parking situation and getting your shoes dusty, not so much. Depending on the event, there might be vendors selling food, drinks, and more. While the vibe is cool, as the self-appointed king of events in Phoenix, I put this venue close to the end of the pecking order overall.

There's two sides of vendors with food and cute things to buy, I do wish that they had signs saying their form of payment because everyone had different forms and you don't find out until you are buying something and the lines are long sometimes and the sun was super bright today. Make sure you put on sunscreen and wear sunglasses. FOOD: there was pita jungle, dumplings, hot dogs, dominos pizza (cash only), pop corn, cotton candy, ice cream and cakes. DRINKS: coffee Goat, a few stands of lemonade and sodas and on the center of the park there was a couple of breweries you have to pay to enter that part. Big stage with entertainment, kids dancing, bands sponsored by BIG O TIRES AHWATUKEE! They also had a Santa stand starting at noon where you can take pictures with him and tell h what you want for Christmas. The line was long all day.

Not to mention that there were nowhere near the amount of places to eat as advertised. I'm assuming the space rental price kept many people away as the marketplace had only two thirds of the vendors as in past years. All in all, a very expensive day for a family outing that didn't live up to the events, concessions and fun as in past years.

I had never been…read more In a nutshell, main event is a one stop shop for a fun family outing, an exhilarating date night, a birthday party (for children or adults), or just a spur of the moment place to stop and grab some food. Main Event has it all! There's a sit down restaurant, a pizza counter, a bar, a full arcade equipped with all of the latest and greatest games. There is laser tag, bowling, an obstacle course that is situated above the arcade, billiards, shuffleboard... &I would not be surprised if there are some other activities I forgot to mention. Needless to say, there is something for everyone! The staff is friendly, the service is great. The pricing is fair. &Considering all of the action taking place inside that building, I was pretty impressed by how low the noise level actually was??? So you can sit down and have dinner with your family & friends & still enjoy yourself without being bombarded by pure chaos. That was a plus for me! The food was great! The prices for food were in line with the overall quality. I got the burger tacos (sorry I forget what the actual name was) & fries because that sounded very "off the wall". It was delicious! I made the right choice. Their jalapeño ranch is crazy good, I highly recommend getting a side of that. We also split some fried pickles, and they were incredible! I was very impressed by the meal. Typically, at places like this, the food is very low quality and boring. However, Main Event seems to have it all figured out!

Wrongfully Charged: * The bartender Roy G. at Main Event in…read moreTempe, AZ ran my card for someone else's tab, incorrectly charging me $72.44 for four beers. * I brought this up to multiple team members, all of whom were extremely unhelpful and largely unresponsive (Event Sales Manager Lucy Lopez, Events Coordinator Evelyn Miles, and Assistant General Manager Steven Bockbrader). Awful Customer Service: * They ultimately failed to resolve the issue, flat-out ignoring me for months and only replying to falsely claim they'd look into the issue further. * Aside from not refunding me, they were unable to find my actual tab, which my bank said I needed to file a dispute. * If I called, they'd put me on hold for extended periods of time, once for over an hour. * The team was rude, disorganized, and showed no empathy towards me. Bad Value and Overall Experience: * Everything was overpriced (the arcade, billiards, food, drinks, etc.). * Many of the arcade games were broken or poorly maintained (for example, the basketball game had a flat ball). * The arcade and bar were dirty. Service at the bar was slow. * I'd recommend going to Tilt Studio or Round 1 rather than Main Event.
