All of the parents were outside chatting away and on their cellphones. The real 5 star for me though is their selection of board games and card games. I play Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons and I love the atmosphere here! The PROS far out weigh the CONS but the cons related to Magic I feel will not allow the community to grow well. PROS Fair Prices Great music Great selection of games AWESOME STAFF Great community feel CONS Not going off TCG, TCG is the norm and players appreciate the transparency in pricing. From my understanding they use an in store system... pricing is close, but transparency is nice for planning efforts. No special promotion for packs, this is the only store I've been to not running 3x for $10 on Standard legal sets. With multiple stores nearby, it doesn't make much sense to buy packs apart from tournaments and events... Again not worth a rating change but this has prevented me from buying individual packs.

From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us and was incredibly kind and welcoming. He mentioned it's under new management and that he's been running it for about a year now, and you can really tell he cares about the place and the experience. I also loved that they have free lockers available. I was able to store my bag easily, which was super convenient! As soon as you enter the mini golf course, you're immediately immersed in the safari theme with sound effects that really add to the experience. Each room features different safari animals and glow in the dark props, it was such a fun and unique setup. This was our first time trying glow-in-the-dark mini golf, and it was a really fun experience. Overall, this is a great option if you're looking for something different, affordable, and fun to do. The pricing was very reasonable, and we had such a good time. When you finish golfing, you can also hang out in the arcade area, which was also well priced and a nice bonus. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking out Swinging Safari Mini Golf and supporting this local business. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Phoenix visiting!

The farm was easy to find and had clear signage to follow for parking. I walked around the grounds a bit and enjoyed the flowers. The salvia especially stood out as looking so healthy! And of course, the lavender - a plant I always struggle with! I stopped in the shop and picked up some lavender goodies including a blueberry lavender drink and a lavender sugar cookie. The drink is light and subtle. I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. Its also not carbonated. They had other flavors as well. The cookie is SO GOOD. Next time I'm getting 2! The shop is cute and has a lot to look at, and the woman working was friendly and helpful. There are water features and lots of seating areas around. I took my drink and cookie to a seating area and just enjoyed the scenery. I asked one of the staff members -- all really friendly and welcoming! - and yes you could bring a sandwich and enjoy it here. Make a whole meal and get a cookie! They do tours of the mansion, which looks quite impressive and I look forward to learning about its history. There are also soap and candle classes and various seasonal events. They have a variety of paid events too like making soap, tours, and tea parties if you wanted to do more than just walk around. As far as I can tell, they change it up frequently too so you'll never get bored!

The train ride was the highlight of the night and they did a great job on each theme. The ligth show was also pretty cool and unique. The snow show was a fail at 7:30pm but when we went back to a later time, it finally worked. The miniature houses were super cute and we were able to take pics with Mrs. Claus. We bought VIP tickets at $80 each, and honestly, it felt like a holiday heist. Several areas were closed off with "private event" signs, including the cookie-decorating section we were looking forward to. The so-called VIP lounge is an absolute joke -- they should be embarrassed to label it as a perk. The only alcoholic option was a bizarre mix of rum, margarita mix, grenadine, and Sprite. It tasted awful, and I watched multiple people toss theirs in the trash. The only other "specialty" drink was hot chocolate spiked with peppermint schnapps. Everything else was basic and absolutely not worth the price. I've been to plenty of holiday light events for a fraction of the cost that blew this one out of the water. The only highlight of the entire experience was the Cowboy Christmas show -- a short 15-minute performance with genuinely talented, improvisational actors. Overall, I do not recommend this event. It felt like a mediocre money grab. The Pratt Brothers really lived up to their name.

My wife and I were there for the Ostrich Festival which had recently moved from Tumbleweed Park to Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass. A very different footprint from the park, but the behind-the-scenes folks responsible for the festival did a fantastic job in the new location. Known for its concerts, the festival did not disappoint. Kansas, Vanilla Ice, Baby Bash, and The Commodores, among others. Smaller national bands and some local artists graced a smaller stage as well. Top notch entertainment was everywhere this year. Megan the Bubbleologist amazed with her bubbles, Mango and Dango added excitement with their music and dancing, the Cup Guy dazzled with his juggling skills, Off-Axis Stunt Shows were fantastic in three separate shows - BMX, trampoline, and diving. There was a magic show with Sean and Chanelle and their Model T car, live ostriches, a daily evening parade, STEM games, birds, and so much more to see. Already looking forward to next year's Ostrich Festival, held at Rawhide.

Rawhide hosts various events, including bull riding and concerts. For the Fever event, parking was free. For Ostrich Festival, pre-paid parking was $13 or $15 at the gate. You really have no other choice but to park in their lot given that it's basically out there on it's own in Chandler. It's about a 30-minute walk from Gila Casino. Rawhide is a "Western Town." While there isn't any historical context, Rawhide is made to look like an old Western town, dusty roads and saloon-style buildings included. The aesthetic is pretty cool. And it's spacious too. The logistics with the parking situation and getting your shoes dusty, not so much. Depending on the event, there might be vendors selling food, drinks, and more. While the vibe is cool, as the self-appointed king of events in Phoenix, I put this venue close to the end of the pecking order overall.

Main Event has it all! There's a sit down restaurant, a pizza counter, a bar, a full arcade equipped with all of the latest and greatest games. There is laser tag, bowling, an obstacle course that is situated above the arcade, billiards, shuffleboard... &I would not be surprised if there are some other activities I forgot to mention. Needless to say, there is something for everyone! The staff is friendly, the service is great. The pricing is fair. &Considering all of the action taking place inside that building, I was pretty impressed by how low the noise level actually was??? So you can sit down and have dinner with your family & friends & still enjoy yourself without being bombarded by pure chaos. That was a plus for me! The food was great! The prices for food were in line with the overall quality. I got the burger tacos (sorry I forget what the actual name was) & fries because that sounded very "off the wall". It was delicious! I made the right choice. Their jalapeño ranch is crazy good, I highly recommend getting a side of that. We also split some fried pickles, and they were incredible! I was very impressed by the meal. Typically, at places like this, the food is very low quality and boring. However, Main Event seems to have it all figured out!
