Chandler Museum This was our second time visiting this museum. Since we live close, we chose to break up the exhibits so we could fully enjoy each one individually. On this visit we opted for the 45-minute tour with a docent (Mike) who told us about the history of Chandler and other places of interest in the area. You can do a self-guided tour as well. During the tour we were able to enter the McCullough-Price house. The original Price House is now complemented by a modern, artful exhibit and education space, as well as a spacious outdoor gathering area. Local exhibits and Smithsonian exhibits appear to change frequently and are accompanied by weekly/monthly lecture-series. It is a small museum but you are able to take a wealth of information away from each exhibit.

We love visiting the Chandler Museum especially for the toddler/preschool age classes they offer (ArtTots and C-Town). Mary Jean and Shonda who lead the classes are the absolute best! They are so sweet and work so well with the kids. They set up such fun activities in a clean environment where the kids can socialize while having a little fun playing with sensory activities.

Very awesome museum with free admission! The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. They have about 4-5 small exhibits and a a little gift shop as well. Definitely worth checking out to support local artists!

To begin there's ample parking. The museum is located across from the mall if you want to shop or eat beforehand. The grounds are modern and very cute. A nice variety of birds fly by as I wait for a friend to show up. Once inside there's no fee to peruse this small but adequate venue. I found clean restrooms. The best part was a cute shop with locally made jewelry and other made in the USA items.

A very cute museum in Chandler! It's perfect for families- especially when you only want to walk around for an hour. It's not very big but has a lot of interesting material and sights within. The outside is beautiful with intriguing art/ceilings and plenty of shade when the sun goes down. I definitely recommend this place. Also- it's FREE!!

Detailed history of Zora Folley, who was from Chandler and his boxing opponent, Muhammad Ali. Even their boxing outfits were on display. In the hallway are photos from the 1940s to 1980s on individuals making up the history of Chandler. Stop by the gift shop for souvenirs.

We took this picture and told our kids that they better make us grandparents.

Such wonderful place to visit. Many many cool unique things to look at and it's fun for all ages. I highly recommend visiting it.

Very excited that this Museum has opened and located near the Chandler Mall. Their Awkward Family Photo Exhibit was a great kickoff. Admission is FREE and the staff was helpful in giving us a tour of the Price Home museum located next door. The Price Home will soon be open to the general public soon. The Chandler Museum has only been open for 3 weeks, and only had the Family photo and Japanese exhibits open. A Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit will be open there next year. Not too much to report here since this place is so new, but the family had a great time visiting and we are all excited to see what's to come of this place.

Stopped off to see the Boxing exhibit and was not disappointed. Never went before the remodel but I will say this is a world class facility. Entrance is free but it's wise to tip. Also, if you want a pictorial history lesson of Chandler along with a sports wall of fame then I advise you stop in as they have both.

Best of all, admission is free. Yes, the Basha family not only collected all of these beautiful pieces, but they curated them into an extremely well-done museum space and decided to share this wonderful western history with the Arizona community. It's a small museum but they have done a great job of labeling each piece and making the space inviting. How generous and kind of Eddie Basha and his family! To know that Eddie had a close relationship with many of the artists makes it even more special.

There is also a room dedicated to a small quilting club. It isn't mind blowing, but note that you can get a free 2 person pass from one of Phoenix libraries so I suggest doing that.

There's currently a quilt exhibit by local artists/craft quilters who sent in their beautiful one of a kind quilts and they're all for sale too. Each room has a theme whether it's about the early history of Gilbert, a rendition of the original elementary school/schoolhouse, a look at what a home's bedroom and kitchen area used to look like, or a room dedicated to the Gilbert police force, each part of this little museum was packed with great information and unique artifacts donated by the townspeople. Worth a trip and you can also check out a Culture Pass at a local library to get free admission for 2. Will take about an hour to really enjoy and get a good look at everything. We didn't have that much time so we just took in as much as we can and will have to come back another time God willing.

There is a lovely garden area outside for events and a kid's city park next door keeping with the farm cattle theme that the mansion once was. They are not open all the time but have an event schedule on the website. My friend is the creator of the Vintage Society so we had a garden party here yesterday and it was so, so, so lovely. If you can get to an event here it is wonderful. Check it out. I hear the holidays are really spectacular. Fair note, most of the mansion has been renovated and has non original, but still period era appropriate, pieces. However, there are still original pieces and the stain glass windows are original to the house. No public bathrooms only port a potty if you need to know that. All of the staff that we met were outstanding. I am not sure if the tours are given by Docents, volunteers, or paid staff but they were all so lovely, knowledgable, kind, and very helpful. I would go back here to an event in a minute. If you are looking for a unique venue space for a smaller maybe under 100 outdoor party this just might fit your bill. We had about 80 and it was perfect, with plenty of rooms for tables and high tops, a food buffet and even musicians.

I currently have a love/hate relationship with social media, but I'm so glad I came across a post showcasing this glorious theater located in Tempe! I was going to try it out by myself but the Crazy Cat Lady (if you follow me on the gram, you know who that is, lol) decided to come out from the boonies on a whim, so we went. We saw "Weapons" and it had us hooked to the end! No, the seats don't recline (they do lean back a little) or have swingy table tops for your snackies, but they have cup holders and they're not cloth seats, so for $3.50 (and $2.95 every Thursday) you really can't complain! The theater was clean and the nostalgic decor make for a very enJOYable experience. There's also an arcade in the front lobby to the left once you enter. My only little gripe is that the restrooms are on opposite ends, but that's a very minor setback. The concession stand has all the basics: popcorn, nachos, hot dogs, pretzels, candy and drinks. We got the combo deal for $11.95, which includes a medium drink, medium popcorn AND a hot dog (or pretzel). We ordered an additional small drink and the total came out to $15 and some change. I don't know about you, but I know a good deal when I see one and this here is pretty epic in today's economy! Of course the movies shown here are a few months old, but I love that because that means it's not crowded at all. I can't stand a packed theater. This would be a great place for a birthday party, team-building or just a simple no frills kinda date! There's a bunch of pic opps in here, too. Have yourself a blast and don't forget to take a pic with Chewie, like me! Lol!
