I came in on 3/11/25 at around 6:30 PM and they were out of ALL baguette sandwiches. I was told that they had a large order earlier during the day so I got the taro tiger, their fresh milk tea series. This was a DISAPPOINTING drink. It did not taste like a fresh milk tea but tasted rather powdery. If you look at the cup closely, you could see small white clusters throughout. I did not get fresh milk like I have ordered so I felt let down. This, in addition of being out of baguettes was not a good visit, and I probably won't return.

My order included: * Caramel black milk tea with brown sugar boba * Passion fruit green tea with mango popping boba The milk tea was smooth and creamy with a mellow sweetness from the brown sugar boba. The passion fruit green tea was refreshing and reminded me of something you might get from Starbucks, but with an added burst of flavor from the popping boba. Both drinks were yummy and well balanced.

Atmosphere here is very weird, it's dead quiet, no music. Really need those knives. Not many napkins available, and they're not at the tables. You have to get the employees to open the bathroom. Feels kind of dark inside. There's random jerry-rigged ac units on tables. Stacks of old books blocking the natural light, are they decor? A few changes, this place could be stellar.

The staff was super nice & patient with all our questions about their huge drink menu. But we were a little bummed they were out of some items we wanted to try, including spring rolls and certain boba toppings. The sandwiches were just alright and didn't quite compare to the banh mi we're used to back home in CA. Still, we'd definitely recommend stopping by for the drinks. It's a cute little spot with a friendly staff!

Maybe a little bit of both? Hey Boba reminds me of the boba tea shops in San Antonio, TX. It's privately owned and not a franchise. Because of this reason, there is no regulation on the products the shop uses. If you are used to milk tea from popular boba tea franchises like Tapioca Lounge, Sharetea, Gongcha, Tiger Sugar, and even Kung Fu Tea, then I am sorry to say...the milk tea at Hey Boba and similar privately owned boba tea shops taste "diluted" and sometimes "powdery." Hey Boba tea does not taste powdery though, but does taste diluted. I want to support local businesses which is why I gave it a 4 stars. For me, the best boba tea shop in Tulsa is Kung Fu Tea even though Kung Fu Tea is my least favorite out of all the boba tea franchises.
