Took our only car into this shop to find out why there was a clunking sound in front. I wasn't with…read moremy wife at the time so the 2 mechanics basically gang up on her saying the car needed new tires. They sold her discontinued tires for $400, few weeks later noticed front tires were badly worn in front. After a month and 3 visits and complaints they took the car back in yesterday and again wasn't with my wife but now they are saying the car needed ball joints and control arm on one side. How was this not seen when the tires were changed and the car been in there 3 times. Also gave us a quote for $178 for one control arm and 2 balljoints plus 2 hours labor. Found the parts myself at a shop in ptbo for both sides for only $150. So now they messed up the only car we got and after selling us tires for $400 a month ago now they say we need to buy another set of tires from them. These people and this garage is a absolute scam. Lived here for 7 years and this is how they treat the locals so imagine you were from out of town how much they will rip you off. If your from the area or out of town highly recommend staying away "North Kawartha Tire & Repair" unless you like throwing your money away and be lied to. There are 2 other garages in town that you can go to instead and they will make sure everything is proper. We trusted the little guy and wanted to support their business but this place is so dishonest, unprofessional and just down right thieves and scam artist. STAY AWAY.
