A nice detour off the hwy. The self guided tours are no charge. There are guided tours that you can partake that have fees attached.

The museum is small but to me it's worth the visit. I might be biased tho. It was such a trip down memory lane! They had the first BMW I drove and learned to use a manual, the class my first Beamer purchase was in and the first X class I purchased as well. I think the boy that lives at my house (AKA my son) might get bit by the bug after the visit.

The lame sign telling would be tourists the visitor center is closed along with the plant shut down. Nothing on the website explained this.

We would've loved to visit BMW's factory visitor center, museum, and have a coffee. Unfortunately, the center was closed. We knew the production line was shut down but nothing on their website showed the visitor center would be closed. This lack of communication by whomever is in charge of the visitor center's website is really poor. Most people who visit BMW are likely coming from far away, and made itineraries to include this stop. We drove an extra hour out of our way to find the center closed with a small paper sign taped onto the door. This is pretty bad for customer relations! We met another couple in the parking lot who aimed to see the visitor center as well but I explained to them it is closed. The woman said, "their website says they are open!" I agreed and told her that's why we are here, as well. Someday, I hope to visit BMW in Spartanburg but who knows the next time I'll get to the Carolinas.

I would recommend making the trip here if: A. You own a BMW B. Tours are available (they were not when we went) C. You are less than 20 min away from this place. The cars are cool that are in the lobby and the history of the place is good to know. However, you may spend a total of 20 minutes as there is not much to the museum.

This is one of the best attractions you can visit if you are around Greenville, South Carolina. Upon arrival, you can enjoy the exhibition of the past, present, and future of the BMW at the BMW museum. Here you will see rare and famous vehicles from BMW's past, such as the famous Isetta "Bubblecar". You can also explore what's new in BMW today. At no cost to you or your family, plan a visit to the Zentrum museum. At the Zentrum museum, they offer a guided plant tour where you can see how the Ultimate Driving Machine is built. What should you know before going? For the guided plant tour, advanced reservations are required and tour participants must be 12 years of age or older. Completely enclosed shoes are required to tour the facility. No flip flops, high heels, open toe, open side, or open heel shoes are permitted. You can take photographs only while visiting the Zentrum Museum. No photographs or other video imagery is allowed inside the factory during the tour. Cell phones, smartwatches, and Bluetooth devices are asked to be turned off prior to the tour. General Admission for plant tour: $10 per adult and $8 per child or students (12-20).

This museum is the meeting spot for the 2 hour BMW factory tour. You can see BMWs throughout history, there is a café and gift shop also. I can't recommend the tour enough! Very high tech, lots of robots and sparks flying everywhere. The tour is very well run and informative. A bus shuttles everyone to two different buildings on the campus where you watch BMWs being assembled from beginning to end (minus the painting). Attendees are provided protective eyewear and a headset so you can hear the guide as the tour progresses. You even get a free cookie and magnet at the end of the tour! TIP: buy your ticket in advance as these tours fill up fast!

Had a gear head buddy of mine in town over the weekend and decided to bring him to the BMW plant for a tour before he left town. Booking the tour online was easy, and the cars in the Zentrum (German for center) Museum were cool to look at. The tour was fun, interesting and informative, and our guide was awesome. A great way to spend a couple of hours if you are into cars, especially European ones. There is a cafe and gift shop at the museum as well, with awesome staffs. This is definitely not an "all day" experience but a great way to do something a little different on an afternoon when you have some time.

The visitor center/museum is beside the manufacturing plant. It has a little cafe and gift shop in the center of the place. It features some of the older models, but mostly the newer ones. It also has a few motorcycles at the corner. You can watch the video of my visit here: https://youtu.be/Zrs4ujKjsuM

Although the museum is small here at the BMW parts factory, it's nice that there is one just for visitors. We didn't know what to expect, but since we were already in the area we decided to drive by and check the place out. As a BMW-enthusiast I couldn't pass up the chance while in South Carolina, and am glad I did because I didn't know about the museum and all that it had to offer. There is a designated private parking lot for guests and visitors, which you will eventually find once you drive through the campus, as navigated by the signs. Once you walk into the museum you are greeted by the receptionist who tells you that the museum is self-guided and that you're able to take photography and even sit in the i8 model that they have. Admission is free. There were some older BMW models, and it was cool to see all the different styles throughout history. The set-up is more of a show room and there's a store and some offices inside. It was a quick walk-through of the museum, as there are brief descriptions of the models/exhibits. When we came here on a Monday late afternoon there was only one other party touring the facility. The store had a good amount of BMW and Mini items, and the sales associates there were very friendly and happy to help. It was a nice pit stop during our road trip around the south, and for anyone who loves Beamers then I recommend stopping by here for a short visit.

What a great tour. Did the 2 hour tour where they took us to body shop and assembly line. This plant pumps out 1400 vehicles a day. The sheer size and production is incredible. The tour guides were knowledgeable and the whole manufacturing process is explained in great detail. Ben was our guide and he was pretty great. Makes me want to buy a BMW as soon as I can afford it.

Absolutely fascinating to check out high performing automobiles like the different types of BMW series. Having a Z4 and X3, you can't help but compelled to see the factory, which is huge, really acreage of plant and BMW building even checked in at the visitor center, quite a refreshing visit! We got to check out Z8s, Elvis Presley's roadster, M, electric models, etc, simply fascinating! A must destination, and I thought we were just passing through so it was such a treat! Check out photos...

The Zentrum was a very interesting, if smaller, tribute to all things BMW. My husband and I enjoyed it a lot, including the video, which was a virtual tour of the factory. It had everything from WWII airplane engines to the latest F1 offering. Plus, it's free, so who could ask for anything more? The actual factory tour was not available, but they said it would be starting again in June.

I had been wanting to visit the museum and factory for some time now and finally was able to make the trip out here from California. The museum was nice, but my tour was cancelled last minute, so was definitely disappointed to come from so far away and not see how the cars are made. So we had to make due with just visiting the museum. Some cool cars are on display, including the first car produced at this factory. The gift shop has a lot of nice stuff and the lady helping us there was really friendly. Hope to be back again one day to see the factory tour.

This is a very small place, but is filled with a lot of history and very nice vehicles. It lets you see into BMW's history.
